There were two big things I noticed on patch day: 1) All the Akumas wanted to rematch me for as long as I would keep accepting the rematch (unusual since I play Guile), but maybe better than ANOTHER Akuma mirror. 2) A lot of players returned for Akuma. I figured this must be the case due to a marked increase in DI use. Those of us who've been playing for the last year have learned to discipline the fingers that want to hit that button lest we die 1,000 deaths BEFORE getting hit by Raging Demon.
My hot take is that V had the best soundtrack and people only latch onto 3s because the vibe and quality was more consistent, and V definitely had some of that same generic corpo "designed by committee" stink that makes 6 so underwhelming, but even then they were more bold in diving into more niche subgenres which I can respect. Killing Moon is a good track but it's also more or less a pretty standard Amen Break beat that doesn't do anything new with the genre format.

Agreed, Akuma's fireball is insane. I play Guile and I can only keep up with him if neither of us use resources, his full charged fireball will cancel my H. sonic blade into boom. The only fireball war I lose is with JP and that's only because spikes from the ground trade consistently in JP's favor or I lose. Dee Jay is tough, but Guile does win it eventually, Akuma is the only one I have to scratch my head on a little often coming up with OD or level 1 as an answer.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it a canon thing in the street fighter universe that if you master the arts of the combat style you're using, you generally use 'one arm' to do fireballs with? Gouken, Charlie, Chun (Later versions), etc. It's a little amusing that Akuma still uses two hands to this day.
It's never been addressed in-universe, but it is a common design thing to show master characters using one-handed fireball. Though a character using both hands doesn't necessarily mean they couldn't do one-handed if they wanted. (I'm sure by this point Ryu or Guile could, for example). Remy is able to do one-hand projectiles, but that's apparently just his style. Long story short : mastery allow one to do it, but doesn't require doing it.
@neon-lake actually (☝️🤓), considering that Dan's fireball is laughably weak, I think the implication is that he is nowhere near good enough to do one-hand fireball, but overestimate himself/don't realize using both hands would be better because he is Dan. 😅

Cammy can dive kick on reaction to booms outside button range. Meter or meter less. At far distance she can spin knuckle. She can space trap his cr mk after 5hk with 5lk. He doesn't have any answers to those besides doing nothing. Her meter gain and combo routes got better with her 5hp 5hk tc and she got better corner carry now half a screen minimum but can be almost corner to corner. Dive is punished able with standing buttons only now in start up but better later on. I'd say cammy is his worst match up as she's anti fireball and her buttons and pressure routes leave her advantage on block and knockdown very often.
Is it me or are Akuma’s hit boxes stupidly far out in front of where his body actually is? I feel like I’m getting stuffed by the air from his normals.
When the Akuma players stop hitting dive kicks high, stop wiffing the second hit of their HK, learn that people can jump out of raw demon if they aren't mashing, and stop dropping their combos he's gonna be a pain in the ass... atm my crouch jab has them raging. They say I panic, I say, "I know you have no setups and can't time a meaty. Tick tick tick snap!"

You can still catch people pointblank with it,and go through projectiles. Also grabs any normal if they are still in the activation frames
