That was a fun watch! I've played far more SFII and SFIV than 3rd Strike, but I thought I knew all the SAs of top tier characters. I don't remember SA numbers but I didn't know how bad that Chun-Li SA is though! I think all of Ken's SAs are good. Even Ryu's worst SA has amazing damage potential. Thanks for hosting this.

SA2 is actually good against the twins because the damage is insane. They have the 2nd worst stamina after Akuma. A simple c.lk x2 into super can end the entire round.
Stamina is different in 3s. Everyone has the same health bar, they just take different amounts of damage.
Yeah, the worst super for some characters (like Ryu and Dudley) are still pretty good, its just the other ones are much better.
We can all agree that Denjin is the shit, but Ryu's SA1 is just a boring combo ender. I would have picked that over SA2.

It’s so weird seeing Denjin held in high regard. When I first got into the FGC only Vanao and Frankie3s used Denjin Ryu.
@@weedandwater I've used it since forever. At lower/casual/nostalgia-gaming skill levels, it's really fun to roundhouse-tatsu someone away and then charge a Denjin from a safe distance. Will they risk messing up the parry? Try to jump over it on reflex? Hmmm hmmm.

I actually watched the whole video. Haven't done that for any other game tournament in ages xD. It was fun to see the rare moments these 'bad' supers actually caught their opponents off-guard. I was gobsmacked by Dudley's Rolling Thunder actually continuing to move after the initial ducking dash.

Yep, you can do HP Hook + SA2. But the scaling is so bad it's not even worth it.
What blows even more is that in order to combo with SA2, you have to rely on a pretty risky move. Whereas with SA3, it combos with bMK + MP Hook, which is safe on block and can be reset. It also deals an F' ton of stun. Unfortunately for SA2, it doesn't combo with bMK + MP Hook, meaning you can't do HP Hook + bMK + MP Hook + SA2, meaning you can only combo SA2 with ONE MOVE. But if you're doing/landing that many hooks anyway, use SA3 and get some stun.
This bad supers tournament did my boy Necro dirty and gave him a situational super to deal with. F.
However Slam Dance is awesome against rush downs. I'm super serious. SA2 has invincibility frames, so if Genei Jin Yun tries smoking you with combos, go SA2.
15:45 NO WHY!? He could have won the round IMMEDIATELY if he didn't combo with hook. Dawg...
18:10 Okay so since it actually happened let's talk about why it doesn't combo. When in hit stun, SA2 simply can't grab you. When in back turn, however, your throw box isn't moving, so it can latch on without a problem. At least that's what I THINK happens.
This was AWESOME. Commonsense absolutely deserved the win, next to Husam he's the one that used the SA the most, and effectively too!

Some characters, like Urien, are a lot less scary without their good supers.
Urien,chun and maybe yun are pretty tame without their best supers

Every Super Art in this game is good sometimes they're based on the size or amount of meter it has example Ken use to have 2 stocks of Super Art 2 the Shinryuken in New Generations but had to reduce it to 1 the only Super Art I would consider bad is Remy's Super Art 3 Blue Nocturne LOL
