I usually fill the vortex up and get it lit it seems to take more than a chimney full of charcoal. Definitely a family favorite in my household as well.
Not enough charcoal & you have to have upper & lower vents wide open. Then check every 10-15 minutes. Always put meaty part of drums towards the fire. Nice job!
Those are some good looking drums! I swear by the Vortex, especially for chicken like that! I fill that Vortex all the way up and it gets to about 450F.
Those legs look fantastic Jimmy! I made myself a poortex but about the same youll like it but do watch out, it puts out some serious heat and you'll burn your arm hairs off reaching over it. :) Have a great weekend brother!

Whatz up Welders I added about ten 45 minutes in and that was all. Outside temperature dropped on me as it was a late in the day cook.
