Johnathon has a way of making any person very relaxed in an interview and that's a talent.

I'm convinced Jonathan Ross was a rapper in his past life. At the very least, he managed a rapper 😂

Sometimes I had this negative opinion of rappers because a lot of the time the records would be harsh dis raps or the people who liked rap I usually imagined to be gangsters. Yet when I've listened to some of the rappers talk. They talk very talk very eloquently and have a good sense of humour and I feel ashamed at having a prejudice agaisnt rappers.

@Great White Cat I was talking about rappers not african americans. Please show me where I mentioned black people in my comment? There are plenty of white rappers.

True, you have to split their music from who they really are. A lot of modern rappers do act up a lot, but for most it's all about the music and the art for them. A lot of people don't understand that and assume rappers do everything they make music about. Of course things do get ugly a lot, in rivalries and such but the murders only seem to happen when gangs get involved. Most rappers just want to make art.

But peoples ideas and misconception about rap and rappers are in all likelihood linked to the demographic. That might be harder to admit but so many criticisms of rap have racial undertones. Jay-Z is a genius quite obviously. Lyrically and in business. He went from a street hustler to being a billionaire. But there is alot of genius in rap that goes unrecgnized like I said because of the demographic. Just avoid mainstream. Raps appeal means that its almost impossible that no one you know is rap fan. Ask for a playlist. :)

@@nriab23 Hey now don't take it personally. I'm not attacking you. The things I'm speaking about affect us at very subconscious level. Why do you think you are immune to the same forces that effect us all? Remember no one is attacking you its just that we spend so much more time and energy indignantly denying things than we do actually thinking about them and internally examining them and I believe its precisely this that keeps them alive.

Thats the first time ive heard Jay Z speak, i had been hating on him for years for taking my girl, i thought, Why you marrying that Mick Jagger lip alike for Beyonce, im over here DownUnder in New Zealand, that Jay Z is a FOOL. However, watching him at yours Jon, one can see that he seems a decent bloke and has that ALL important factor in winning a girl, Humour, or Humor as they spell it in the US, is a Yuge factor, look at any interview with a Model to a Playboy Bunny when they ask what type of guy they like. Most say that looks arent that important (But i dunno about that ladies) but what is important is the sense of humor, so naturally i got a Subscription to the Acme How to be funny book series. Suffice to say, i have never married, i am now just waiting for my girl to divorce Jay Z so she can do the Oh Ah Oh, Ah Oh for me! Still waiting for that bloody book though.
