My mother loved this man. I think of her every time I hear his voice..... Every time I hear "I want to go back"..... The memories flow. She passed 25 years before him..... God Rest his soul.
I'm 25 and while I didn't grow up on Eddie's music I have embraced it over the past few years and he is now my favorite Rock artist. He is touching younger generations to those willing to open their ears like myself.
The Money Man! He was a Good Dude.. l met him at local gig he did at park here in NY. Very cool guy.. used to be an NYPD, left the force because they all told him 'you'r too talented.. you gotta go be a rock star.' Had a great voice and wrote quite a few rocking hits.
Was that on Long Island on the 4th of July when you saw him? I remember about 10 years ago we left the City for the 4th and he was doing a free concert on Long Island someplace - it was a great time
@@marcspardello1254 Yes.. Eisenhower Park.. He played there a few times over the years. So, one the dates could have been The 4th.. They hold lots of free shows there every summer. I saw him there twice, only met him after one of the shows.
He just performed, he's slightly overweight and he's under hot stage lights. He could have medical conditions that make him prone to sweating. Your supposition that he is under the influence of coke shows your limited frame of reference...
@@b_uppy yeah yeah yeah. Always one here to correct you. I've seen 100s of these kinds of interviews and no one is sweating bullets like and acting as frantic. He said he used to do it all the time, but here you are to correct the world. It's no big deal if he is or he isn't.

God I miss Eddie. Rock music and popular music in general lost magnificent musician in EM. Not a day goes by I don't miss him.
R.I.P. beautiful man, your music celebrated our younger selves. You are missed but will live forever in your music 🥰🎶🎶🎶🎶🎵

What was being around him like?
He seems nice!

@@djcease1996 He was just a regular guy, no "Rock Star" attitude.. easy to talk to. He signed my gf's t-shirt loll

Yep he looks high alright but he seemed fun to watch and his music was great to hear
Dang Eddie Money was a charismatic dude.
we were all doing coke back then.
RIP
Definitely on coke in this interview, he's sweating bullets! Still, one of the nicest rockstars you could ever meet. A-class guy!

@@b_uppy You don't have to even have a medical condition to sweat profusely. Definitely after performing you sweat terribly it's nothing unusual.

Did you read my full answer or did you just read the one bit and assumed that was my whole answer?
@@b_uppy I did. I wasn't being rude just making an observation

This interview is so goofy. I wish they could ask him one sincere thing.
The Chris Farley of Rock n' Roll! LOL
The coke was strong then.
It was chewy and not so damn speedy which is the evil part.
I never realized how annoying Merv Griffin was
that Brooklyn accent ahaha.. awesome!
