@@carterheitman7492 I subbed!!! :)
I like the sophisticated piano music with footage from Godzilla vs Kong.
jazzz :)
RIP Adam schlesinger who wrote the music for Josie and the pussycats. We lost him to covid last year and his impact in the industry is one felt deep. 😔
Train to Busan is really good, it's a zombie film done right
Yoooo first reply to you
Best zombie movie since Shaun of the Dead
We watch the same shit
Yes

Scooby Doo the movie is a masterpiece
Its a heartbreaking and realistic allegory of post modern society.
Mr H is spittin the truth.
It’s amazing
eternal sunshine of the spotless mind really captures the perception of memories and that so in a beautiful and heartbreaking way anyways its easy to understand when you watch it too much
Wolfwalkers was undoubtedly my favorite animated feature of the year. From the rough pencil crayon and watercolor aesthetic to the soulful voice acting and medieval set design, the film won my heart
Scooby Doo is the best live action EVER made and no one can change my mind!
Scooby doo is the best
Scott Pilgrim exists....
@@ArcadianWaheela do they have a dog talking and dressing up like a old lady?
@@ianlucassaldanha5383 yes it’s a master piece
So excited for you to be watching the last airbender that shit slaps. You should also check out Invincible its an amazing show so far.
I literally just wrote a whole essay on the importance of Josie and the Pussycats two days ago for a final. It is LITERALLY SOOOO FREAKING GOOD AND I LOVE THE SOUNDTRACK. THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT IT.
“I kind of liked Wolfwalkers more than Soul”
Ladies and gentlemen.... *we got him.*
*YOUR FEELINGS CHANGE LIKE THE WEATHER*
@@hidbid1 What's that supposed to mean lol? Just curious

Someone tell Karsten to watch The Mitchell’s vs. The Machines
It’s from Sony Animation and was going to be released in theaters but Netflix got the acquired rights and went to Netflix because of COVID
I can already predict what he’ll say about it
@@viciousbane569 And? What does that got to do with the comment
getting this notif is a terrifyingly joyous moment in my life every month
Omg Karsten pls do a video on avatar when you finish it
Yes, I want this too
Karsten properly appreciating the musical genius of Josie and the Pussycats.. I am so here for it
Having logged the Scooby Doo live action film on Letterboxd probably more than any other human....you’re preaching to the choir, that movie slaps
A great video. Your sentences about going to the cinema are so true. I recently spoke to a friend about it. Going to the cinema is more than just watching a movie. It's doing something, city life, going out.
However, the Oscar for Mank is fully deserved. The film is terrific. In time, people will notice :)
I rewatched The Comeback Kid and Kid Gorgeous last month. Masterful
John Mulaney is just the best
I 100% agree with you about Scooby-Doo (2002)! It's so fun and underrated. It may be very silly and dated but it's a ton of fun.
walking into a movie theater while it is still light out and then exiting from the movie you saw to see that it’s now dark out hits different
I watched 500 days of summer for the first time and I can’t believe people misinterpreted this movie
I legit started screaming when I saw you started watching Avater the last Airbender! I started watching it a week ago after loving it in middle school and I hopelessly fell in love with it all over again! Gotta hate it when adults fail to recognize the amazing stories and characters animated movies and shows have in store
I just watched “Where the wild things are” and its a beautiful movie. Id love to know what u think of it, I feel like its the kind of movie you’d love.
In April, I watched:
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (10/10)

Thanks for making these - I think I'm all caught up! I am watching and loving a lot of your suggestions. Just rewatched the Fantastic Mr. Fox for the 1st time since it released - I know how you feel about this one - it was... Fantastic!😜
time to do a wes anderson ranking
Your videos are like a calming breath of air in the madness of today.
I watched Our Friend twice in April and just finished it again tonight. Great performance and narrative film.
I watched "Another Round" last friday. I really loved it!
i had an “experience” and then rewatched the boys in the band because i related to it. then i realised it is one of the best films i have ever seen. i also watched the shining, heathers and thelma and louise and a whole lot more but i forgot
Will not reiterate enough how midnight runners and swing kids r the best movies to get into korean cinema. AMAZING performances, funny, heartbreaking !!! Also the handmaiden is an obv pick but I think you'd already know that and please please karsten watch these for your own wellbeing
Would love to see a full review/analysis of Another Round
YES, KARSTEN IS FINALLY A WOLFWALKERS STAN 😭😭😭
I remember when I first watched this video at 5:46 I accidentally skipped to 5:53 and heard, “A bunch of strangers making fun of me.” I’ll never forget how confused I got at that moment
Karsten you really making me tear up over movie theaters
I haven’t watch Goal! Since middle school, I NEED to rewatch it
thanks for another great vid Karsten!!! love this series so much, helps me find new movies to check out constantly. This was quite the well rated month (most of the films you listed seemed at least a 3/5), how often do you feel like you're passing up on watching movies if you don't think you'll like it?
My favorite videos ever!!!
Can’t believe Karston’s comfort film is just hot dilfs getting drunk for 2 hours... actually...I can
Karsten may not touch on shorts he watches, but I do so watch my video on short films so i can feel satisfied enough to release my second one.
you too, karsten
Need that avatar video when u finish the series man, would lovw to hear your full thoughts on it
I love Josie & the Pussycats, too! I watched 21 movies in April, so I won't list them all. My faves: Collateral, The Father, and Soul. I also started a big project of trying to watch one movie from every country in the world (that's a lot of subtitles). In April I watched Strange Bedfellows (Australia), Ayiti Mon Amour (Haiti), Nine Queens (Argentina), and MindGamers (Austria).
This is so ironic because I have been listening to the Josie and The Pussycats soundtrack for nostalgia reasons 😂
Scooby Doo spooky island is 10/10 my favorite movie of all time plus the nostalgia i get everytime i watch it from it being my favorite movie since i was a kid makes me love it that much more
I really want Karsten to watch SLC Punk and see just how good Matthew Lillard truly is. That movie is his absolute best.
ETERNAL SUNSHINE IS A MASTERPIECE
It’s that time of the month lads!
hell yeah new vid
It would be awesome if you took this film in consideration "Jason and the argonauts" 1963. In my opinion it has the best animation and sound track of its time!
Best series
I saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and I clicked 😉
I love these videos!
Best in show, this is spinal tap, The Godfather part 2, that thing you do, wolfwalkers, wandavision, close encounters of the third kind, and parks and rec season 2
I love that School of Rock is getting the praise it deserves
i only watch karsten's ad breaks
pls do a Wes Anderson or Steve Spielberg ranked video
Wes anderson ranking’s on his letterboxd
Excited for an avatar review hehe
Scooby doo is forever one of my favorite movie’s 👏
if you liked josie and the pussycats you should watch Spice World... a true surrealistic cinematic masterpiece. charlie kaufman who?
I *LOVED* Serial Mom. I watched it with my mom years ago.
I re-watched the first Scooby Doo movie for the first time in years, and it is still good fun! I also laughed for a solid minute when Shaggy farted in the knight armor, so I guess I haven't really grown up much since my last viewing anyway
You watched Goal?!? I basically worshipped that movie when I was a soccer fanatic in middle school. Didn’t know anyone else had ever heard of it!
Save Ralph Looks like the Animation from Fantastic Mr. Fox
Karsten, watch One cut of the Dead! It's my favourite zombie movie I've seen in years
You saved my friday night
I can't believe Mank won best animated short
hearing karsten say "fumble the bag" made my ears twitch like a fox
I’d like to be in a place like Karsten...talking film...making things...having fun...
I rewatched a lot of marvel movies, pixar movies, shrek trilogy and Oscar movies
omg...this was your 1st time seeing Busan?? that is 1 of my fav zombie movies!

would suggest watching Ping Pong The Animation, its an animated show with a very unique style and an excellent story. idk i think you will dig it.
oh my god he's actually watching atla for once
Wolfwalkers should have won the Oscar for best animated film in my opinion. I still like Soul tho but Wolfwalkers.....

You may have already watched it but a good Korean movie is called #Alive. It’s another zombie movie which is also very good. On Netflix
Can’t watch eternal sunshine anymore I get so fucking sad and depressed but props to the filmmaker
Yes! Avatar is goated
