In May of 2005 Cream returned to London's Royal Albert Hall-to the same stage where they had completed what was thought to be their final performance in 1968. It was one of the most eagerly anticipated, hard-to-get tickets in rock history. With the exception of a brief reunion set at their 1993 induction into the Rock and roll Hall of Fame, Cream had not played together in nearly four decades. This DVD documents Cream's momentous London shows. Performances from each of the four nights are featured and much more. Also included are alternate performances and interviews with Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce, and Eric Clapton. Cream formed in 1966 and disbanded in 1968. The band were a prolific and thrilling live act and toured incessantly in their short but remarkable history.

Cream plays the blues....so damn well. Their particular versions of the blues make me happy...so gorgeous. Will never stop listening to Cream!
What a great concert and the Royal Albert Hall is such a cool place to play, what a lucky audience witnessing history, and so great to see the smiles on everyones faces at 5:36 and the Joy on Ginger Bakers face at the end of the song. creating music with a band is a magical thing. these guys shared allot of life together in a short period of time with Cream, the music still lives on in 2023 more than 50 years after it was created.
Why this is the alternative version is beyond me. Incredible
Jack starts singing at the wrong time, but otherwise it's a perfect performance

A sleepy time, time is the result when you take heroin. Ginger was addicted for 20 years. I've never seen a junkie last that long. Jack was also into it and Eric was flying on cocaine, his drug of choice. I'm not putting them down. Everybody was experimenting with drugs back then and I remember when junk seemed to be the next logical step. It was nowhere of course. But everybody was trying it. It's true you can get addicted after one time. It feels like you are on a soft cloud and you don't want to get off. Easy to get addicted, hard to come off of.
Jack was living some time in my hometown in Germany. He loved a girl there. I had the chance to meet him. One of the the greatest musicians, but sorry the drugs killed him and Ginger
@@natfletcher1445 I imagine Jack was just a regular guy offstage. Best singing bass player outside of Paul McCartney, which was a different kind of music.

@@natfletcher1445 Even though they used for so many years Jack lived to 71 years & Ginger to 80. A hard life & many personal struggles they led the way for the rest of us players to not just take control of our lives but our music as well. Eric kicked his habits as did Ginger & Jack but they did struggle & Narcotic's are never the road to travel as most of us would not last as long as they did . We must thank them for beating some awful odds & 71 & 80 years old at least ack & Ginger had good lives & with Clapton they made music history that will stand the test of time. All of them smoked cigarettes' as well & that vice never helped them anymore than Heroin Coke & Booze . We all should be so lucky to live as long & make the kind of history they have.
Clapton tone is good leave it alone.this will not take place again.

Eric’s manager told me Ginger was suffering from arthritis by this stage. That would have inhibited his playing.
