- Took the whole "broke and boosted" thing a little too serious...
Decided I'd go ahead and give my stock Integra LS some boost just for shits and giggles using old turbo parts from the EK and the CRX; and you wouldn't believe how fast we windowed this thing with an eBay turbo. We had some fun or whatever I guess but the daily is dead boys, would not recommend. Anyways that's what I get for boosting the daily, but she'll be back for more action soon enough I ain't no quitter, stay tuned. Thanks for watching!

Your fuel would have been ok but at 10 psi and over with stock rods I would have been pulling ignition timing right around 3800 and readvancing it after 5500 rpm once the torque curve started to drop off.
Boost and detonation don't bend rod's.....torque does and you were making about @4500rpm @18 psi 300nm more than those rod's were engineered for .
Agree 100% that little turbo spools up full boost a lot sooner than I was anticipating, definitely not shocked that I killed a rod lol
Use a bigger turbo, probably made too much torque for the stock rods to handle

You think I can turbo my gsr teggy to 300whp stock internals and still be reliable? Or do piston and rod combo and then slap that eBay turbo

18 psi shouldn’t have killed the motor at least THAT fast, I’d say it was the anti lag pulls plus 18psi on stock motor, detonation is a hell of an engine killer
Motor showed no signs of detonation, pistons plugs and bearings all looked healthy. To me it looks like a rod just let go from too much torque

i wanna go b18 turbo an push 360 on e85 think it’s possible without a hole in the block ?
Stock motor is done at 300wheel the ek lived at 350 ish for 2 weeks, mine didn’t even make it a week, put rods and pistons in it and you’ll be fine

With e85 just go forged it's not worth ventilating your block with a rod .

On e85 your supposed to run way richer
27deg at 4psi? My dude, the stock P75 map is 27deg at 0psi, don't even have to ask how excessive it was at 18psi. Not to mention 10.5:1 AFR, nothing like killing power via rich misfires.
It's fine to laugh & learn from mistakes, but please don't celebrate them.

Smh.really it would have been smarter to put a b20 with a vtec head
Facts I definitely should’ve pulled the engine out and swapped it with a more expensive one to kick a rod out of, that’s thinking right there
I think you should do your research lol. A basic google search would let you know that b18b1 are better for boost than b20 because the walls are thicker. Therefore if he was to build the motor it would be better for him to install a vtec head on his b18 block due to thicker walls.
