- The Manchester Christmas Markets in the UK is a world famous Christmas Market with over 200 stalls across many locations in the centre of the city.
I visit the Winter Gardens in Piccadilly Gardens, walk down Market street to King Street to Cathedral Square.
I look at what the stalls have to offer including food, drinks and decorations such as the famous Bratwurst German sausages, mulled wine, hot chocolate , sweets and desserts.
So how does this compare with places like the Birmingham Christmas Market, London Christmas Market and York Christmas Market?
Find out in this video!

Do you think there were too many food and drink stalls?
Comment below 😀
U can never have too many food and drink stalls. Plenty of option is always good 👍
I agree!
yes the christmas markets are over priced but have been for years now i can only think that the pitch price for there stalls are very expensive or there taking the pee still a good video though.
Some that I have been to have definitely been on the expensive side
This video made my mouth water… I’m going there in a few weeks!!
You should definitely try the dutch pancakes! 😋

The pancakes were so good. Can't believe I've never had them before! 😋
@@everydayimeating3407 I've tried something very similar but they wasn't freshly made . Dutch pancakes in lidl lol . But still tasty. I am going to Oxford Market nxt week I hope they have them . Also I want a massive hot dog 🌭 lol xxx
@@Chrystalox definitely try the Dutch pancakes if they have them and you have to get a hotdog at a Christmas market!
Born and bred in manchester and next time I visit my family at Christmas 🎅 time I’m going to visit these markets looks like a good day out!
You could literally spend the whole day there. There's so many stalls!
The prices are jaw dropping. You'd think the English are millionnaires, but then they go to a foreign country as tourists and act like cheapos, being rude, asking for free samples without proceeding to buy anything and telling you that they will buy "on the way back". Yeah right you will! Will visit this year to see with my own eyes. Hoping for the best.
Too bad the Amsterdam cookie shop doesn't have kruidnoten! My favourite cookie in the Netherlands to eat around the holidays.
I've not tried them before. I'll have to look out for them next time
It’s a rip off, but then again, the traders are being ripped off by the council at the same time. I just feel sorry for the small business who pay taxes and rates all year round and live on the edge, only to have their trade stolen at the last minute by traders who come and go, often back to foreign countries. Those that run the market would say ‘well that’s competition’, but at the same time don’t allow competition on their own market, with many owners running, 2, 3 or even 4 stalls, rather than give others a chance to trade. On top of this they employ people on way below minimum wage cash in hand. On balance the whole thing needs scrapping in favour of supporting small businesses who employ, pay taxes and rates and invest long term in the city and it’s people.
