Odd Stacking For Gold With Minelab Equinox 800

  • We hit the creek in search of some sweet shiny gold. Odd Stacking was the name of the game today and to stack the odds in our favor we decided to use the Minelab Equinox 800 Metal detector to pin point patches of metal in the creek and hopefully find the shiny gold laying with it. Finding some targets the material was collected and then we washed it through the gold sluice, running 12'' Dream Mat. The sluice showed up some nice gold for our efforts.
    Equipment Used:
    Minelab Equinox 800 - 6'' Coil
    Minelab Gold Pan
    Garrett Classifier
    12'' Dream Mat
Cheers for watching from the Groty Gold Team.

Hi A&S, Boy I would be back there and dig out a bit more on those spots. I hope you didn't swear when that handle broke on that bucket, LOL. Try just waving a magnet above the dry black sands and it jumps up onto the magnet and the gold stays.
That was a nice smile and good weight. Dennis

Butter wouldn't melt in my mouth Dennis, LOL. There was a few f bombs when the camera got turned off, coz my fingers got stuck in the lip of the bucket and when Steve took it off me he nearly took my fingers with it, LOL. The black sand is crazy down here, we always forget to pack a magnet or even find one at home sometimes, plus im scared of them has i have squashed my fingers using them before. Hoping to head back this week and pinch a bit more shiny. Cheers for watching, happy hunting Alicia & Steve

@@GrotyGold Hi Again, That must had been a big magnet to squash your finger, the one I use is the size of a 10 cent.
Check it out in my last vid dolly up rock one. I think that you did comment on the vid.
I did see the vid got cut right when the finger became caught. I had always thought that about the butter with you, LOL. What dose it mean when a comment is pinned, never seen it b4. Dennis

My question is: I am about to buy a metal detector for native gold in the river and on the river bank in old embankments.
In your experience, which metal detector of the two would you recommend me to take Minelab Gold Monster 1000 or Minelab EQUINOX 800 and 6 Inch Coil
