    Garage door rubber trim does the same thing. In my opinion it works even better there is no need to do the caulk. It has it's own grip. I even cut it down a little past the end and put the rubber stoppers they gave with my bar on the side. Although they weren't needed.

      The real question is: why does a LED light bar need vents

    • @DavidPruitt
      @DavidPruitt 4 роки тому +1

      The come with noise isolators that get rid of it. It's a some rubber pieces you stick on the light bar. I didn't know what they were for, I assumed an isolator for a mount. I figured it out accidentally. I drove around with my light bar mocked up and no whistle. After I cleaned everything up I removed the rubber pieces because I figured I didn't need them. Then it whistled. Took me a while to figure out the important change was the rubber pieces.

    I installed an 52" curved lightbar on my 2001 Chevy Silverado. Got on the freeway and yes a Super Loud High pitch Whistling sound. I did exactly what you did in this video and OMG it worked, It was quiet. But it does still sound like a window is cracked open and it will leak water in the rain. You'll need to silicone all the Mouldings to seal in the brackets from sound and Water leakage in the winter.
