Honestly the designs were the best. Everything was more realistic, look at Sonic's hair and how it moves, the Eggbots don't look like cartoons they look cool, and like actual killing machines. Also, Sonic doesn't just jump into a flying ball, you can actually see him do flips and KICK the enemies.
Should be one of the best Sonic games. In my eyes it kinda is. Some of the best level design, voice acting (Sonic's voice is perfect along with several other characters), great visuals, outstanding music and giving Sonic a whole arsenal of abilities that we can use at will, something we don't see anymore unless it is a wisp that is provided by the stage and not innate in the character.
I honestly liked this game. Of course it had major faults with load times and glitches, but it had a LOT of potential. Sega please just take your time, don't rush it. Sonic needs to be resurrected to what he was in sonic adventure 2
Andrew Butcher Didn't like Adventure 2 personally. Hated Heroes even more and though this game is bad in every way, I find it more enjoyable than the previous two. Unleashed and Colours got it back on track
This was the closest we ever got to a "Sonic Adventure 3". It was the "Sonic Game We All Wanted" for what was at the time next-gen systems. Despite it's flaws, people actually still love and play this game for that reason. Nice playthrough!
Its sad to see that even Knuckles gliding animations aren't finished at all. But the game is awesome. They should relauch this as it was intended to be.

Well, obviously i'm not the voice of the community as a whole but there things i would much prefer being change entirely to the point i wonder if the game would be considered a "remake" or rather the Earth 2 version of Sonic 06 LOL ! Some changes may altered the game identity as a whole : *Thing i like the about Sonic '06:* - The musics and sounds - The ability to play as many different characters - The stage design and lay out... for the most part (Sonic Generation project '06 proved it's not that bad) - The Sonic Adventure like gameplay. - Interesting new idea (like silver telekinetic power) *Thing i don't like about Sonic '06 (thing i'd love to see gone or altered heavily):* - Story ? It's not that bad actually but the realistic style make it look like it took itself too seriously and the involvement of human especially considering there's a Romantic subplot involving Sonic and a human princess named Elise make the whole thing far more cringy. Either make all of The resident of Soleanna into mobians or at least Make Elise and her lineage into Mobian (hell she could even be adopted). I know it seem minor and it would be in most Sonic games but in this case, i think it would truly be significant and make the story feel right. - Glitches - Hyper Realistic setting and Character design (Eggman in particular) - Lack of speed/ overall sluggish controls - Awful physics/odd gravity - Gems/shoes system for different abilities most of which make no sense for Sonic to have in the first place. - Character moving like Super Sentai/power rangers in cutscene. - Voice acting Like i said, at that point, i don't know if this is a remake or a new game reusing from asset from '06 !
The Meme Movement I think it’s because we see this gameplay and think, “wow, this game had so much potential!” Unfortunately that is all it is, potential. I would love to see this gameplay style make a comeback, but at this point it’s unlikely...which makes kinda sad.

I'm kinda dissapointed I follow the hate on this game. It's doesn't look half-bad. It just follow the mechanics of Sonic Adventures and SA2 (which also had bad camera angles and glitches) I feel if they remake this, even with same mechanics, and put a little more time into it, this would be great.
I love this stage so much. It’s probably my favorite in Sonic 06. The technology, robots, and aerial crafts/warfare of this game clearly drew a lot of inspiration from Star Wars, and I love that. This base reminds me of star wars. I also feel that the egg fleet from the Sonic Unleashed Opening was partly inspired from Star Wars
Seeing this gameplay I think SEGA should probably remake this game for next gen consoles and change the storyline a little bit to the point where it makes so much sense with all the time travel, make it less glitchier than it was before, fix the camera, and no Elise kissing Sonic. Most importantly, they should take their time no matter what happens.

People keep saying this game needs a re-release/remake; well I have to disagree. Yes I would like 06 to be fixed, but it'd be more of a complete overhaul than a fix. It's best for Sonic Team and Sega to move on from this (which they have) and onto better things, rather than waste time on such a old game that nearly destroyed the franchise. Besides, the Sonic modding community are using the Generations gameplay and engine to remake the older games anyway. Look up STH2006; it's a team of modders that remade most of 06 with Generations gameplay. It still needs more work but it's probably one of the most hugely ambitious mods I've seen thus far, and I look forward to it being finished off and polished nicely.

The game, if finished, would have been a good stepping stone to perfect the Adventure gameplay style. Not only that, but I personally think the story and tone was good and made the game feel like it was apart of its predecessors. After this game sadly failed, sega kinda lost any balls they had and slowly over the course of time Sonic turned into what you see from Colors forward. This is just how I see it. There is a demo just released of a team working on 06 from the ground up and fixing 06 instead of changing it all together.

The purple shoe gem that you can buy from a shop lets you turn small when you hold a button. It also, unintentionally while small, allows infinite jumps which they just didn't have time to patch lol

when you unlock the purple gem do you unlock it after completing kingdom valley as sonic or aquatic base because it's been a long time since I played it and my brother deleted it and if I pass kingdom valley you gave me the idea to go pass the ball n aquatic base.

It wasn't a hack it was something they introduced in the game called gems. Each gem will give you a different power. I remember there was one gem where you throw it and wherever you throw it you will teleport over there.

When those doors open, I imagine those doors from Sonic Adventure 2's space levels that open when you walk up to them.

And what was the last Sonic game that was ACTUALLY developed FULL-ON 100% by Sega, (Not Dimps, like Sonic Unleashed PS2 or Sonic Generations 3DS), that didn't use the Hedgehog Engine, or an engine that felt somewhat reminiscent of the GOOD 3D Sonic engines *Cough Cough "Any Dreamcast ERA game intended for Sonic*. That's right, the magnificently terrible Sonic '06. Now let that sink in to the minds of all Sonic fans who know what a good Sonic game is, such as any Sonic game on the Ultimate Genesis Collection + Sonic CD, (Which is not included with the bundle because it is a SEGA CD game).

What happened with the ball part? How did you manage to go through it without the ball?
The purple shoe gem that you can buy from a shop lets you turn small when you hold a button. It also, unintentionally while small, allows infinite jumps which they just didn't have time to patch lol

I mean it's fairly enjoyable and it takes itself seriously that's all I ever wanted from a Sonic game

when you unlock the purple gem do you unlock it after completing kingdom valley as sonic or aquatic base because it's been a long time since I played it and my brother deleted it and if I pass kingdom valley you gave me the idea to go pass the ball n aquatic base.
The only good thing of this level is the music. Part 1 has a mashup remix with Somewhere I Belong from Linkin Park it's awesome.

I didn't mean 100% in Sonic '06 3 times. I just meant that I'm playing it 3 times. And that the Mario and Sonic marathon stream I will be doing will feature 100% completion on all the games (main titles). I'm a completionist, so it's not really an issue for me, but I was mainly talking about the fact that I'll have to do '06 100%. Which I'm not looking forward to at all.

It wasn't a hack it was something they introduced in the game called gems. Each gem will give you a different power. I remember there was one gem where you throw it and wherever you throw it you will teleport over there.
Ernest Zelaya Oh,but it looked like a hack because sonic was jumping in midair and he said(in the game)that he was going to use the ball to Bounce to the other side,i never saw the ball
