The difference between the accumulators is that the first one was for a truck WITHOUT rear A/C and the second (correct one) was for a truck with rear A/C

Hearing you talking about your getting the wrong accumulator makes me feel a little bit better on the unboxing video I just posted, as I thought I went too far into detail with making sure you have the right one, p-nut directions and outlet position. You probably got the one that I have, which is correct for my application. Oddly enough Escalade has many of the same parts as Sierra and Silverado - would guess same evap, discharge line (that holds orifice), and condenser. Replaced my old r134a manifold with the one you got (got it on coupon day) - those hoses and fitting will hold pressure for days plus you can use the capped center port (has a schrader valve) to vacuum down your manifold so you don't have to bleed air from it after you hook up a bottle.

My ac slowly got warmer and i figured it was a leak, the system still had 134a in it and after hooking the guages up it was at the recommended pressure. My accumulator was also making the exact same hissing noise you explained, I guess they can fail internally and cause your ac to stop working.

What was the reason for changing it. What symptoms were u haveing? I’m having issues with my ac

Mines was leaking on the outside but a bad accumulator can cause mold and mildew to build up in your ac system

Blender door actuator (motor) is probably broken/stuck letting heat mix with the cold air. Troubleshoot the problem before throwing parts at it though
