I had found my new interest in reading since couple of months ago. 10K, 10Q, PDF presentation and Transcripts. Unbelievable value on what you can derived after reading them then just purely looking at the financial statements. You get to sleep, sleep really well after you have read them when you are invested.
I think this pandemic has taught people the importance of multiple streams of income unfortunately having a job doesn’t mean security rather having different investments is the real deal… So l really appreciate your transparency

You guys dissected the fifteen points very well and it was great to hear some examples for each point that are more relevant to the present. The book has a lot of examples from the last century. It will be great if you guys elaborate more on the scuttlebut method and provide a few examples on how to do it with all the tools available now. Great job!
This is a great book. Also have to say this channel is great, been wathcing alot of finance youtube the last 3 + years, this one is probably the best. I have learned one thing most importantly: My assumptions have been too high in regards to multiples. In order to get 15% return I need to be abit more picky. Thanks for hammering in this in, the AMZN example is important :)

Instead of replacing "Profit Margins" as one of the 8 pilars would you consider instead putting between parenthesis next to it the average of the sector so anyone looking at it can have a reference? Also, the check mark criteria may be replaced by answering the question: Is the company Profit Margin higher than the sector average? What about that?. Hope this ideas help. Kind regards, Kenny

HOW do I go about finding the answers to these questions? Maybe it's because i'm a novice, but is all this information really contained within a 10K? I want to streamline my approach so i'm not spending hours of my time trying to answer these questions.
In regards to the 10-k's, like Paul said, I've found some reports give very general statements that just say the obvious while others give a more in depth analysis with actual numbers. For those companies that don't go into depth in their 10-k's, is there any other source of information we could use, I've found Earnings calls will sometimes give some good insight. I like Joseph's videos but he's part of the "valuation doesn't matter" camp. Great picks if the market keeps going up. Might have problems if the tech bubble bursts.

Joseph Carlson is great but he’s a bit inconcistent. His dividend portfolio is great but his Story Fund growth portfolio is way too speculative.
