As a man who is turning 75yo in 21 days I'd like to say and tell what I observed in the 1970's, and 1975 March was the last time in Egypt. I had a strong feeling that the pyramids were far older by thousands of years opposed to todays explanations by egyptologist. I say this from observation that it was evident to me that at some period in time a great flood happened just by placement pop all the large and smaller stones on the desert floor. Only water would have floated those stones in such a fashion. I've always thought that during the time of The Kings, or Pharaohs that they encased the pyramids with limestone blocks, and that they stood for thousands of years before. It seems more plausible that this could be accomplished in a 20-30 year time frame. Also, by observation I felt The sphinx to be thousands of years old, and that it had a head of a lion that was carved in the likeness of a pharaoh just because of the newer appearance of the head. It fascinates me the around The World noses and faces of statues have been defaced. Perha[ps this outlook of mine would interest you as a young man near the age I was when first visiting Egypt in my early and mid twenties? I believe people should have more open mindedness about age. There is also an indication that the Sphinx goes back to a time when the area was very tropical and there was great rain fall. That would be post "BIG FREEZE". More than 12k BC.

Curtis, this was absolutely riveting! You are a master story teller!. Thank you and the good Doctors for presenting the facts, as we now understand them. it's even more astonishing to see these ancients monuments to co-exist with the modern world in wide shots! the opening with the pyramids, most especially with the sphinx, is awesome!
The Giza plateau is both popular, the rather underrated in so many ways, as in when there in person, there is more than just the image of the pyramids. Thank you for giving us so much more information.! I’m so grateful to learn so much more! ❤

Thank you for all those amazing documentaries. One question, though : why does everybody think odd that Djedefre did choose his own hilltop to build his pyramide ? That is what his father, his grand father etc did before him ! What I find most unusual is that Kephren did build on a plateau where there was already a major pyramid. Maybe it was to try and spend a bit less on it (stone available nearby, an access from the Nile easy to accomodate, an elevation allowing him to build a smaller monument that would nontheless look grand... or to stick to his father - a need for legitimacy ? What became of Djedefre's sons... ?) Juste a thought... (sorry for the names in French)
What a pure delight to watch, well filmed and presented. It saddens me to see such disrespectful graffiti on these historical ruins sign of the times. What a great job you have thanks for sharing this wonder with us.
I always find all of this fascinating and hope that one day, all the questions people have are answered with unequivocal knowledge. There are so many "experts" and story tellers with variations to explain all that we see and hope to see. Observing the found objects and putting all we know together, certainly unfolds the possibility that the who, what, where, when and why's are answered with unwavering truths. However there absolutely has to be so much more that we will never know. So with that said Curtis, you have done a wonderful job answering questions, which certainly satisfies the inquisitive mind.
Indeed, still unanswered questions, but I tried to show as much evidence as possible - but not related to building techniques (which are boring) but about the people and WHY they built at the site
@@CurtisRyanWoodside yeah it's boring because who cares about science and engineering the biggest structure know to man when you can talk about fucking nonsense like egyptian pharaos who didn't built the pyramids? Go humanities!

You could do a video about Egyptian clothing. What really was elegance and what was carnival gone mad. I love Ancient Egypt, but sometimes I get scared by the storm of horns and wings, not to mention the load of amulets. I think you would do well to dive into ancient aesthetics
Loved that you were able to show us a little of the new museum! I was wondering about seating in the exhibition areas, it doesn't look like there is any. A little difficult for people who can't stand for an extended period.
Well done brother, your passion really comes through in an amazing doco. Thank you for setting the record straight! Your heritage has been stolen, played down for a century the importance of Egypt in creation of the modern civilisation has been played down for way to long 👊🏻
We feel so privileged to have had you as our personal guide at Aswan and Lake Nasser, but visiting Giza and the Pyramids without you simply wasn’t the same. This magnificent documentary has changed all of that! Thank you for this beautifully filmed, researched and presented guide to one of the world’s most wonderful and mysterious places. 🏰💖
I loved watching all the videos regarding this personalized tour of Egypt. You can tell everyone was genuinely thirsty to learn of this ancient past. Hats off to all involved, especially Curtis...!!!
There are distinct markings from a tube drill being used to create the 2 air shafts in the Kings chamber. As well as circular saw marks on the floor of the Kings chamber. The Kings chamber is 100% pink granite. So today we would have used a hard carbon steel diamond tipped "tube drill" via an electric motor to create a large number of RPMs with water sprayed on the tube drill bit to keep heat down to cut such a "hole" in granite today. As far as we know, nothing else works. And you can't change physics/ So, if that is what we use today, why is it so far fetched that was what was used in ancient times? Because diamonds are about the only thing harder than pink granite. And if the Egyptians, or whoever built the Pyramids of Giza (I'm still not convinced one way or another) had electricity (and it seems they did) they would have gotten electricity from the Nile: Hydroelectricity. As the Pyramid could only work as a capacitor. I mean if you know what a stater is, basically a couple hunks of copper that spins to generate electricity you understand it really isn't that hard of a thing to do. And it was the "Copper Age" after all during this time. :) (and if they did have electricity it is amazing how many years it rtook mankind to "re-discover it" it. Proving that through time a species does NOT follow a linear path. Meaning back in ancient times they were probably "as smart" as us. But then there's a period of about 4,000 years people were basically nothing more than a "big dummy". lol Naturally the Catholic church had alot to do with keeping people ignorant and not embracing "science" for a good 1,500 years as well during that period. Make sure to thank the Pope next time ya see him for the Catholic Church keeping people in the "dark ages" for so long! lol.

Thank you, Curtis! It´s so fascinating to hear you tell about Egypt, as we learn the truth behind what we see. You present the logical facts with your researches, and these ancient sites let us dream at the same time, because as you point at, everything is not yet known. The Sphinx for exempel, remains mysterious.
Thank you! Enjoyable listening as usual. I always giggle when hearing these alien theories. Diligence, hard work, commitment and center executive raised the pyramids.
If it wasn’t for the Egyptian head of archeology we would probably have actual factual answers about what’s in Egypt. But instead we get BS geared towards the tourist agenda. Not to mention the horrible state of Egypt.
It would appear to me, as an outsider - that Zahi has a particular premise and story he wouldn’t deviate from even when presented with factual evidence. It’s like showing someone proof of something and they don’t want to see it - blatant ignorance. Zahi doesn’t like any hypothesis that states Egyptians weren’t responsible for the great pyramids. Personally, I want to find out what’s in the “great void” the scan pyramids project verified and found. They’re going to run even more precise scans soon; unfortunately they say will take up to two years. I do believe however that there could be some definitive evidence as to the origins etc of Khufu’s pyramid. I wish we didn’t have to damage it to find out. There are more questions than answers regarding the great pyramid, and as far as I’m concerned a little bit of graffiti on the wall in crappy red paint doesn’t prove any origin or who built it. Nope. That’s like finding an American flag inside and saying the Americans must’ve built it. Cmon. We need to do better than that. Sorry so long. ❤

Mind freaking blown …. I freaking love this !!!!! No words I can’t even describe how excited happy…. I can’t … I live too learn about ancient Egyptian history and you give it to me… I love it!
Wow, thank you LM!
These docs are improving. I wasn’t a fan of his earlier works but this is really good. Credit! For what it’s worth lol just feels like a greater production value
Lol thanks! Same 😂
Never amazes me how much more there is still to learn about Giza. Beautifully filmed and narrated. Curtis.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Always more to learn!
Always more to learn!
WOW! Excellent, well done and very interesting video. You are a gifted film maker. The addition of the undisputable facts presented by the modern day Lime Green Doctor Zahi Hawass was a stroke of some kind of luck.
Great video quality. Fascinating
Many thanks!
Whoa I haven’t watched your docs in awhile! you look so different and your videos have evolved so much *wow* this documentary quality is absolutely amazing!! your hair is great either way lol but I totally didn’t even recognize you.
That was flippin' amazing Curtis. Thank you and congratulations on a doc so full of information and beautiful that I will have to watch it several times to absorb it.
Great! Hope you will enjoy it again. Sooo much to see
I've gone through some very serious technical difficulties, among other things. During that time you have completely changed your look, the city you live in but, you still have the Rin Tin Tin dog!!! 🤣☺️🤣 As layman your knowledge is vast and I agree to a point. Pyramids. They become something more overtime. Renewal, Rebirth, Energy. I'm so glad that ya got such a wonderful special guest!!! As always take care and have fun!!! 😎😁😎
P.S: Will miss your hair. 😭😉😭
❤️😇
This is incredibly impressive! Watching this with my mom and we both keep saying how insanely good this is. Hi should be very very very proud of this, Curtis!
So glad you both enjoyed
There is also an indication that the Sphinx goes back to a time when the area was very tropical and there was great rain fall. That would be post "BIG FREEZE". More than 12k BC.
Mate I am planning a trip to take my granddaughter to Giza, I am fascinated, I very much appreciate your work, it is tantalizing and no doubt going to cost me quite a lot but I just have to see it for myself. You have my deep gratitude and thanks, keep up the good work friend.
Curtis, this was absolutely riveting! You are a master story teller!. Thank you and the good Doctors for presenting the facts, as we now understand them. I have seen too many (shall we say) 'fanciful' mock-umentaries with fancy CGI... You connecting the dots between real artifacts is so much better. And so much more honest. Thank you!
Yes! Thanks Lawrence. I’m not a fan of modern style docs. Mine I feel are more how documentaries were made 40 years ago.
@@CurtisRyanWoodside Absolutely! There is no need for hyperbolic supposition, the mystery and the history speaks for itself , with the correct storyteller.
Outstanding narration! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it Kimberly
it's even more astonishing to see these ancients monuments to co-exist with the modern world in wide shots! the opening with the pyramids, most especially with the sphinx, is awesome!
Yes, the modern world is right there with the ancient
Muchas gracias por la enseñanza obba ..Que olofi me lo llene de salud y muchaaa felicidad y evolucion
The Giza plateau is both popular, the rather underrated in so many ways, as in when there in person, there is more than just the image of the pyramids. Thank you for giving us so much more information.! I’m so grateful to learn so much more! ❤
Im so appreciative that you enjoyed my documentary
The way you presented it with the details & analysis is excellent.... love your work.
Dear Curtis this has got to be one of the best documentaries I've ever seen in my life and I've seen absolutely hundreds. You make it so interesting that you can't take your eyes off it you go into so much depth and detail it's fascinating thank you and I can't wait for the next one ❤️
Oh wow! Really appreciate that, today especially! ❤️

Outstanding documentary Curtis... I was absolutely transfixed to the screen. Your knowledge is sublime..
Wow, thank you Deanie!
Curtis Ryan Woodside I just finished your video WOW what an amazing documentary. This needs to be shown on the History & or the Discovery Channel.
Even in the Schools & Colleges today. They could learn alot from you. I know I have by watching your films.. I really enjoy all your films. You did a fabulous job on everything.
Explaining everything an showing us through your eyes.. I loved this video..
Have a Blessed day my friend.. love & hugs always, Gwen Odya
Awww thank you my darling Gwen! So kind of you ❤️🤩
Except that those channels are pure trash now, especially the History Channel! Curtis's stuff is far too good for that!
Close family friends of Woodside's to my family here in the states!!!! Love this documentary!!!
I went last year and visited everywhere mentioned except the crooked ones. You can see them from the step pyramid. Next time we’ll go to those. Thanks for the wonderful documentary
😉
So amazing Giza ❤❤❤ video a lot of Knowledge ❤❤ Thank you for sharing video ❤I'm in Vietnam and really like watching your video so much ❤❤ i hope you alway lucky and happiness
Thanks for watching!
amazing documentary…respect for searching deeper than the common knowledge is given, it makes your vision so alive and fascinates the viewer. Seems like your old soul must come from ancient Egypt, as you search for the real truth…..its a gift to watch your documentaries, it opens up such a river of information..thank you for all your intensiv research and your creative way to show it to public
Viviane, I always try my best to tell untold stories. Thank you for your kind words
Thank you, Curtis, for this fabulous, generous gift.
Thank you very much for an awe-inspiring and informative series of glimpses into the wonder and miracle of ancient Egypt!
Juste a thought...
(sorry for the names in French)
Great work, Curtis. Please do more of these. I really enjoy your documentaries on Egypt and the unusual footage. I'm from South Africa too. 💫🌛
Yay hello from SA
Not a bad documentary. I've always loved ancient civilizations. UA-cam is great for watching 100s of videos of ancient documentary
This is really a masterpiece! Your films are just magnificent! Thank you 💜💜💜
What a pure delight to watch, well filmed and presented. It saddens me to see such disrespectful graffiti on these historical ruins sign of the times. What a great job you have thanks for sharing this wonder with us.
Thanks, yes the trash is always an issue, but we try to look beyond that
True
@@CurtisRyanWoodside OH Yes - like I said you did a wonderful job answering what some might question. Keep up the good work!
@@CurtisRyanWoodside yeah it's boring because who cares about science and engineering the biggest structure know to man when you can talk about fucking nonsense like egyptian pharaos who didn't built the pyramids? Go humanities!
@Curtis Ryan Woodside building techniques are not Boring, but important.

Very refreshing to learn something new!! Keep up the hard work!!
🙏
Absolutely fantastic, Curtis 🎉. Despite living in Giza for 1.5 years and marrying an Egyptian, you have impressively documented the Giza plateau and it’s wonders and narrated better than anyone. Such attention to detail in your narrative and vivid photography. Please continue, Curtis. We want more ❤❤❤ And congratulations on your number of subscribers. Tells you something!
Wow you lived in Giza for so long? That’s Impressive
Believe me - I never tired of seeing the pyramids in the distance, remarking on their majesty while rising above the sun-drenched horizon. Exotic. Majestic
I have always been fascinated by ancient Egypt and I have to say that this is one of the best, if not THE best documentaries I have seen. Interesting throughout the whole program. Thank you very much. Your love of this subject AND the actual people involved is evident. ❤️🤔☺️
Just have to say, Thank you for your work and I would LOVE to visit Egypt... It's a dream of mine!☺️❤️
Yes, Curtis, a beautiful narrative from a beautiful man. 😊
Curtis wears a magnificent t-shirt in the Khafre statue scene in the museum. One of the most beautiful I've ever seen! Uauuuu !
Awww thanks, always try to dress respectfully toward the sites and artefacts 😉
You could do a video about Egyptian clothing. What really was elegance and what was carnival gone mad. I love Ancient Egypt, but sometimes I get scared by the storm of horns and wings, not to mention the load of amulets. I think you would do well to dive into ancient aesthetics
Fascinating as always! Such rich history, I never cease to be amazed.
Glad you enjoyed it Lesli ! 🌷
Loved that you were able to show us a little of the new museum! I was wondering about seating in the exhibition areas, it doesn't look like there is any. A little difficult for people who can't stand for an extended period.
Im sure there will more benches, as I saw many in the Cairo museum being installed
fascinating, great job, you can be very proud of this grand effort !!!!
Thanks Ted, I really appreciate that!
Awww that’s soo kind of you Vivienne! Missed being at Giza with you…means we have to go again haha. ❤️
I loved watching all the videos regarding this personalized tour of Egypt. You can tell everyone was genuinely thirsty to learn of this ancient past. Hats off to all involved, especially Curtis...!!!
I cant get enough of ancient egypt ,truly amazing and beautiful artifacts
Very good insight about Egypt 4th dynasty and 5th I really enjoy your channel Curtis keep up the good work thank you
🥰
Awesome video as always! This may sound weird but what really made it for me was the ending! 😊❤
The ending was so special ! ❤️
Congratulations for the great work, absolutely wonderful
Many thanks! ❤️🙏😇
OMG, I love your documentaries so much! I really hope you can improve the audio, because it's the only thing to improve. Luv U!
New mics were bought just after this documentary. The sound has improved in recent ones
@@CurtisRyanWoodside Oh, thank you for your attention! Please, never stop your work! It's amazing to see someone in YT doing such a great work!
Fascinating! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
My pleasure!
Make sure to thank the Pope next time ya see him for the Catholic Church keeping people in the "dark ages" for so long! lol.
Dear Curtis: Long hair, short hair, shaved head - none defines you so I hope you have left any
ambivalence about hair behind you. You are defined by your passion, insight and knowledge on Egypt.
Thank you for your expertise, dedication and hard work and sharing with us. When Cleopatra is found in Taposiris Magna; I hope you get to the sight and report on it (Thank you in advance). I noticed the camels in The Secrets of Giza. I hope there is someone protecting their well being and treatment. I look forward to all future documentaries that you will be publishing. Thank you for making the world a more interesting place.
Oh thank you Mary! Well, actually I am in touch with Kathleen, but I’m afraid if she does find anything, that will be a sale to national geographic for sure
@@CurtisRyanWoodside She is another amazing person! There are so many unsung heros of archeology in Egypt! I hope so much for her sake that she does find Cleopatra! I would just love to see her vindicated in her own lifetime! And while she's still young enough to really enjoy it. I'd also just love to see a video by you about her and her ongoing dig. She's made spectacular finds there. All the best to you Curtis! ❤❤❤
Curtis you are my ‘go to’ Egyptologist. I love all your documentaries. You create a fascinating learning experience with your narrative and presentation. Thankyou for sharing your knowledge ✌🏽
Oh wow Jojo, hope this one gave you tons of info
@@CurtisRyanWoodside lots of fresh inspiration indeed. I wrote a song for my band about feeling the strength and majesty of the magnificent Egyptian Queens you have spoken about. I’m sure your influence spreads further than you think. Much love from Yorkshire UK 💚
Always try to show something unique. Thanks!
Sphinx = Shemzu ; Channel: Ancient Mysterie - The Ancient Egyptian LION-FACED Demon.
What a lot of research and work you have put into this. It was wonderful and easy to understand.
Thank you! Enjoyable listening as usual. I always giggle when hearing these alien theories. Diligence, hard work, commitment and center executive raised the pyramids.
Haha 😆 I’m glad you can giggle at that
Curtis I enjoy listening to you u make your story’s came to life ,thank u ❤️🇦🇺
Thanks for listening Josephine
Seeing the family of the 19th and 19th dynasties mummies at the museum of civilisation is one of the best things I have ever done in my life.
Ramses is always a special one to see
Thankyou Curtis for all the information of the Pyramids.
I can see you are naturally gifted with the knowledge.

Thanks Jeanne !
The best explanation that I have ever heard of Egyptian history.
Wow that a big compliment Michael! Thanks!
Outstanding and fascinating, I loved this Curtis! Congratulations
You never fail Curtis , absolutely brilliant pal 👍 👏
Wow, thank you
Another great video! Thank you! 👏🏻🧑🏻🦰🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it Marilyn
If it wasn’t for the Egyptian head of archeology we would probably have actual factual answers about what’s in Egypt. But instead we get BS geared towards the tourist agenda. Not to mention the horrible state of Egypt.
This is my research, collaboration with Zahi. This is not aimed at tourists, it’s aimed at people wanting facts
Like he said though, a lot of this is assumptions and not fact
@@supexplore8397 oh they know it. Hawass knows it and the dude who made this video knows it. But there's huge profit in keeping the lie alive, not to mention all the secret shit hawass has been doing all these years like selling and hiding artefacts
@@CurtisRyanWoodside well if ur looking for facts that for some reason aren’t for the people coming to check out the pyramids you might want to find people who don’t have a govt agenda and a nice paycheck to keep the BS stories the Egyptian govt wants out there instead of the truth. Your documentary was great and u are fantastic but I don’t trust anybody who has worked for a government that withholds the truth like Dr Z
Awesome Curtis great job 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
I love your documentaries, Curtis. Always well researched, always well presented and informative. Your videos are always a must watch immediately. And congrats on 50K subs, it’s well deserved!
Merci Jaq!!!!

This explains nothing about what they are used for no mummy has been found why go to all that work just to bury the dead? Hang on he just said sarcophagus ywhy no body found inside. I prefer Graham Hancock theories but it's a mystery.

Excellent presentation. I learned and saw many things I've never seen before. I really like your Egyptian inspired shirts, tried looking for them online without success. Unfortunately you do not carry them in your CRW store; I would love to purchase one. Keep up the good work, I look forward to the Tuscany presentation, next.
excelente visuals but i dont trust ZAWI howASS...
these were not tombs...!! the weathering on the sphinx according to geologist clearly look over 10000 years old.
but great visuals though
Thank you by this beautifull documentary, the ancient Egypt is really amazing, the most beautifull civilization of all times! From Brazil
That was wonderful Thank you Curtis. Im with you about the origin of the great pyramid, I'm onboard with your account of what you see. I know its a history based on evidence. I would so love there to be more to unearth to tell us about the past. I'm still open to more of tge unknown. I'm still very much hoping there is a lost technology still to be explained. The incredible stone vases & borehole etc just baffles me. It's an exciting journey to slowly discover the past. Love your documentaries. X
Thanks Lucy. Yes still loads more to discover
Thank you for the fantastic experience!!! Amazing film ❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful, thanks Eli
