I love your kitchen and pantry and freezers. I am in awe of your talents! Also I am available to adopt. I’m very tidy and will be quiet. Please consider it. My husband is also available but by no means a deal breaker if you want only me!
I could not help it -- when you opened that pantry door, a huge smile spread across my face and my boyfriend asked from across the room, "What are you watching?" "Oh, nothing, " I answered. "Girl stuff." ROFL The major difference that has come about in my life after this pandemic (and being home for 4 months now) is that from this point forward, we will always have a specified "household budget" and a stocked pantry and freezer! We are in a tiny 2 bedroom apartment and on a strict budget. I thought it couldn't be done -- I was wrong. It was a huge initial investment but it feels as good as money in the bank. We started with the stimulus money everyone got and then I've been adding a little every week. You just have to be creative. I've also reorganized our whole apartment to find the space. I had to come up with a very detailed inventory list so I make sure I rotate things around, because I don't have room to display everything as you do. Now I'm only shopping once a month and it totally works. I'm prepped for us to go about 4 months without shopping if necessary, and there is a huge feeling of security in that. And I think we will spend less in the end when I tally everything for the year -- I'm curious to see. I know we eat better!
holditch1 you were smart to invest into your pantry, that is so awesome!!!! We don’t eat out much because there is always something to make and that saves so much money for sure!!!! Good job! I bought some of those meal prep containers from amazon and put leftover meals in there and use them for lunches....that saves too. Pre Covid our boys would take the meal prep containers for their lunch. I bet you will be so surprised how much money you save!!!! Shelby
One thing I really love about your pantry tours is that you have ingredients to make meals and not very much in boxed processed meals. Thank you for sharing.
I wish I could just copy paste your organized cupboards into my kitchen. Man. To spend a month with you cooking and learning all you know. Your future daughter in laws will be so blessed to be able to learn from you! I started cooking from cookbooks when I got married about six years ago. I still feel like there’s so much I don’t know. Especially when I watch your videos. When my kids are older I hope to have developed a system as efficient as yours! I so appreciate you sharing this, it is truly helpful!
I love your videos! I’m the empty nester, and it is very difficult to make a simple pot of chili and not eat it for a week. Everyone tells me to freeze it but then I miss cooking and chopping. Start preparing yourself before you get to that point. I only had two sons but often meant feeding the swim team or football team, lol. I miss it even now. My boys are now 29 and 39. One in Louisville KY and one in Chicago. I’m in Evansville IN.
Shelby, I have the same deal going on here, just when I got everything down to a science all but one of my kids moved out, and I then I had to learn to cook for three instead of six. Once I got that down pretty well, two moved back in temporarily. I don't know whether I'm coming or going most days!
Thanks for sharing your pantry and your way of doing things. I have used a lot of your ideas (on a smaller scale since there are only two of us) and now find it easier to prepare meals at home. And yes, your ideas have saved me money- thank you !!! Homemaking is a rewarding venture, done with love.
I love and use a lot of spices. Your spice cabinet took my breath away. I'm gonna look around my kitchen and maybe trade out a cabinet and redo my spices. You have a beautiful organization talent. Love this. Blessings...
I love your spice rack and pantry!!!!! I love how organised you are!! I was watching your hauls first and thought to my self how you kept track of all those things you've bought. Now I know! Coz you're so incredibly organised! WOW
Shelby, I now officially have pantry envy, cleaning closet envy and laundry room envy!! AND lots of motivation. Lol! My kids are all grown and married and live far away. So it’s just us two. But it is still cheaper AND healthier to cook at home. Thanks for the tour! Now I have to go take a look at the freezer one too! Have a great weekend!
I love it . As I said before someone should give you a TV 📺 Contract. You are absolutely amazing. You could teach the world 🌎 so much about keeping the house in amazing order as I said before never seen anything like it. 🥰
Thanks so much for sharing! Tonight I used 2 recipes from your channel. I made your grandmas dinner rolls and the Mississippi pot roast! It was so amazing!!! We are moving to our dream home in the spring and I will have loads more space to cook and store my ingredients!
I LOVE your pantry! You should do a video of your root cellar. I would love to see it. It is so beautiful and organized. Thanks for sharing! Many Blessings and Stay Safe! Just became a subscriber.👍😍❤️💕💕💕
After ONE video, I was hooked!! I LOVE being inspired by others... and you have definitely inspired me in so many ways! I will now proceed to "binge watch" all your videos! 😂 Thank you Shelby!
Mom of 14, 3 left at home. You won’t be able to cook for 2. I can’t even get 5 people right. The blessing is I cook every 3 days haha! Not to boast, but I can wash, dry, fold and put away laundry in 1 day. Never thought I’d see this day. You are so brave showing real life.
Thank you for sharing your food hauls, Shelby. My goodness how I long to do yearly food buys like you do for your family, but my budget is not there. But let me tell you l love love love watching your hauls. You seem like a nice and sincere lady. I wish you well and pray that God may continue to bless you and your family. Be safe...
Shelby you are AMAZING! I love you and your channel more than anyone else's! I have a large family as well and love cooking for them. I wish I had the space, freezers and food storage to shop like that but I still get lots of inspiration from you.
These stock up videos are so satisfying to watch! I love how you have everything labeled in the pantry so you know when you need to refill - smart!! We are in the cooking and shopping primarily for two now phase. It really does get some getting used too! I try to keep stocked up on meats and things. This weeks grocery bill was on $35.21!
Our kids moved out and I have a small kitchen so I just made a 5 tier shelf in the other room for our stockpile of extra food. Then I made a baking shelf out of a cheap 3 tier shelf in the dining room. Gotta make due with what you got. I'm just blessed to have extra food 😄 Inspired by you of course 😘
OMG I just love your kitchen, pantry and freezers! I'm amazed at your organization and inventory. It is indeed a labor of love but eating home is definitely healthier and more economical than eating out.
Such a beautiful working pantry. 👍 we just moved a couple months ago to my husbands Grandparents old farm house. Which is lots bigger than our old house and has way more out buildings and even a cellar.!!! So we went through quite a bit of our working pantry to prepare for the move. I am quickly building my working pantry back up. 👍
Love it. It’s so much fun to see how great you organize your pantry, cleaning and spices. You know where everything is and can get at it. Thanks for sharing
I have admired you, and now that I know that you have hernial disc, it increased. I had several and I undergone lombar and cervical surgery and I have such a great pain, I can’t do much. Thanks God I have a full time maid, that helps me a lot, but she takes care of the cats and dogs and general cleaning of the house. I do laundry and cooking.
Love, love, love! Thank you for sharing! Ken is right about getting your systems down just in time for the kids to leave home ~ but then if you are as lucky as we are, you are blessed with grandchildren. The grandkids LOVE my pantry Shelby! 😊
Shelby, you do a wonderful job organizing your pantry and kitchen. Love, love the spice shelves so much. I need to come up with something like that for myself even. You are definitely someone who always inspires me and I am so grateful to you for sharing. I know that was a lot of work but it is definitely amazing!! Great video!! Love from Louisiana----------------------Tressa Daigle
I myself don't have a garden. But I can almost all of what my family needs. You can do what I do. There are roadside vegetable stands around here, I simply started talking to the owners who are more than willing to sell me fruits and vegetables at extremely discounted prices since I buy in huge quantities. I also let them know I'll be more than glad to take the less than prefect produce. That garners me an even bigger discount ☺
What "Ken said" at the end of this video is so very true. We have a large family and I always had stocked pantries, freezers and canning shelves. Now all the kids are gone and I have a hard time NOT bulking up my stash. I have WAY TOO much food here. I spent years perfecting my food storage and now all I want to do it use it all up, get it out of here and shop just for the week.
I love your videos, great insight into shopping for a year and how much of foods a family eats! Very good information for our current state of affairs!
You are absolutely amazing! I realize that it took you a while to get your system down, but wow! I've seen many pantry organizations on UA-cam channels, but hands down you're the Winner!!!! Love your channel❤️💕
I am so in love with your spice cabinet and your tea drawer (that was in a previous video)! You won't even believe the difference in food eaten as your children move out. We just had our 3rd out of 6 move out and our grocery bill has gone down significantly. It is a learning curve for sure to adjust making meals for less people!
I'm so glad I found your channel! You and Ken are so precious! Shelby, you have really inspired me to be a better person in every area of my life. You are a wonderful wife, mother and friend. Im thrilled to have found you!!
I just wanted to add we live close to several stores so it’s easier to shop every week. We have aldi, price chopper, Hyvee, Walmart and Sam’s Club all within 5 miles of us. Costco and Trader Joe’s 20 miles.
I thought I had alot of spices...holy cr*p. Wow and so organized. I will be keeping better inventory for the next year in order to see how much I really use in order to stock my pantry properly when I hit a good sale on certain things. Thanks for sharing. :)
Is there anything you have that you just don't use and have had for a really long time? I could never think of enough stuff to use all those spices for. It's mind boggling and absolutely fascinating to me.
Loved seeing this! We have less space but I love organising and looking for ideas to help us organise and stockpile for the colder months. Just thinking about your freezer prep basket makes me want to crack on with making and freezing the soup I've been thinking about for the last 2 weekends and haven't got around to! Keeping our soup batches and frozen soup stash up helps us every weekend for lunches and when we need 'grab and go' lunch in the mornings. Thank you :-)
Oh my gosh We have the same Aroma cooker/multipot... I think there is already a video with a house tour. I came across it the other day. I think it's title Our New York Home.
Me too 🇬🇧

i love how you organize your pantry.
Wow, When we run out of something we replace it. I do stock up a little when something is on sale. I’m impressed!
I just wanted to add we live close to several stores so it’s easier to shop every week. We have aldi, price chopper, Hyvee, Walmart and Sam’s Club all within 5 miles of us. Costco and Trader Joe’s 20 miles.
Linda I took for granted when we lived in California having stores close by, you are so lucky to have such a great variety to chose from!
Love your pantry, good job mom!
I thought I had alot of spices...holy cr*p. Wow and so organized. I will be keeping better inventory for the next year in order to see how much I really use in order to stock my pantry properly when I hit a good sale on certain things.

LOVE all of your organization!
Love these new house videos and organizations.
Is there anything you have that you just don't use and have had for a really long time? I could never think of enough stuff to use all those spices for. It's mind boggling and absolutely fascinating to me.
hi Shelby you are definitely my favourite youtuber, very inspiring and noteworthy thank you
Loved seeing this!
I drove truck for 26 years and I didn't eat in the restaurants I always used a electric skillet or a crockpot and then I bought my 1st aroma pot it is the best rice cooker and slow cooker I've ever had Great for steaming Soups everything all-in-one and I didn't have to worry about it tipping over and spilling in my truck.. Now that I've recently retired it's still my favorite at home.. And here is a little thing I have 5 freezers... Venison freezer, beef freezer, poultry freezer, pork freezer, And because I live in Michigan and my son Salmon, coho, steelhead, walleye, rainbow fishes
That last freezer is all about fish and seafood. My spice cabinet is a lot like yours I'm an ex military brat military wife and then a military mom so I've been all over the world and I have a very eclectic palate..
But here's the funny part of this I only live in 700 ft² with a basement..
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Thank you for sharing 🤗
Would you do a video on where you got the storage containers, baskets...
Love your organization.
Omg the spice cabinet 😍😍😍😍🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 wow!!
That spice cabinet is amazing😍
Wow, so organized! Luv it!
