Wow! I remember transcribing this voyage chorus from Stan Getz some times ago, but never used it as you do ! You make it sound so nice on take the A train, good job! Thanks for the lesson
Some good ideas here. A couple things to think about you have a great tone but stylistically I do think that you're over-articulating, try recording yourself on one of the etudes of the way you would usually play and then try it again taking out all the articulation and listen to how differently the time feels. Also when you run those court scales from the first degree to the 7th think about making that seventh degree shorter it will both highlight that note in your ear and it will swing more.
Thank you for your compliment. There could be something in the things you say. I will listen to the stuff in the video and check what is hapening. its a long time ago - 20-30 videos ago + 120 short videos. but being critic is the only way forward :)
@@sorenballegaardmusic I'm just passing along advice that I got from George Garzone, so I'm by no means criticizing but rather trying to pass along some wisdom from Garzone that was pretty life-changing.
super fantastic video I love love love motif development and it needs to be used and talked about more
I'm totally with you. This makes music, since music was invented, very long time ago
