    you are a good teacher and seem to be very patient and obviously very knowledgeable. i am 51 in a few days old enough to be your father or grandfather haha. ive always tried to work on my own cars and you are teaching me a lot. you are making me confident to step out of my comfort zone and attempt to do more technical procedures than ever before. i thank you for that. i wish i could have had a dad like you. that is about the best compliment that i can give, and you have earned it. keep up the awesome work!

    Can you do a video on removing and reinstalling the heads, on an LS engine ie.... Torque specs and degrees of the bolts and so forth pls.

    I put the piston on top dead center, take the plug out and take an old plug knock off the porcelain,then weld an quick disconnect chuck to it plug the air hose on and turn the air on. That way the valves stay all the way up

    Hi, great video just one question, do I keep the engine top dead center with the cam gear and crank gear lined up for replacing every valve? Or do I have to move it for each set of valve springs I do for each cylinder?

    Is that what this is, T.D.C. method? So I have to find T.D.C. of each cylinder, correct?

    I’m having trouble rotating the engine. I’m doing a cam swap and when I try putting it TDC the timing is very hard to rotate and when I do the crank bolt ends up just tightening.

      You probably finished already but the next time you have to do one; take off the spark plugs. It releases the pressure when the piston is going into the compression stroke.

    When u compressing the springs how low u got to go

    I have this spring compressor. I don’t like the angle the plate makes. It seems to want to push the spring away from the pedestal.

    I just did a 228r cam and when I replaced my cam shaft and new springs my balancer is harder to turn is it normal or did I do something wrong

    Great videos to share with us. What would be a good cam with great sound and performance. Rated from low medium high. What would be a medium?

    Doing it that way are you using the pistons to push up on the valves ?

    I’m doing an lt-1 upgrade on a 94 impala. Iv never done an lt-1 & I’m curious what you think is a better compressor, to work on it under the hood...especially for the firewall cylinders.

    Do you check/replace the oush rods after cam only swap or just send it.

    • @BoBuilds
      @BoBuilds  4 роки тому +6

      My personal is rule is I only replace push rods if the rods ends are worn down, or if the cam is bigger than .570
      If a cam is small enough to run ls3/ls6 valve springs i run stock rods

    How much psi to keep valves for falling down

    • @slowazbmwkilla3073
      @slowazbmwkilla3073 Рік тому +1

      20 psi ! If anything more it can push the piston back down . I usually put shrader in the air line to keep the air going one way and not coming out unless I manually release it .
