You make a great point. I am so glad the Mario movie has all of the detail and includes all of the game references. I think the movies' biggest weakness is the plot because it is too fast pace. I wouldn't mind them making the movie longer to get a better flow to the story.
Illumination animated the dog because they were still in New York and could get away with it not matching the Mario theme 😂
