It makes a kickass metal song I wouldn't have expected it. Another good example of that is land of confusion covered by disturbed. It's like it was made to be metal, but didn't know it.
I saw Leo's cover of Hello when it was first out... my first Leo video, and it was perfect. Much later I saw Sultan a of Swing with Mary and I wss GOBSMACKED. Another great cover that you MUST SER is Dance Monkey. I saw it before seeing the original. Leo's cover eats the original for lunch.
Leo is amazing, he does metal/rock covers of everything from children's song ( Baby Shark, Wheels on the bus, Let it go) to rap and hip hop ( California love, Gansters paradise, What is love ) it's a deep rabbit hole, my suggestions would be the following 1. Listen to your heart , Roxette cover 2. House of the rising sun, The animals cover 3.Carry on my wayward son, Kansas cover
I've only heard Adelle's version once, by accident. I feel lucky to know Leo's version before. "Wheel's On The Bus" as a rocker is something every child should hear. "Feel Good Inc." is fun too. "What Does The Fox Say" made me find out how crazy the original was. Have fun, I'll be back for every reaction to Leo.
Hi there. Do check out these covers from Frogleap: Easy on Me (Adele), Feel Good (Gorillaz), Cotton Eye Joe, Country Roads (John Denver), … it’s a long list 😅 Notable collabs: Listen to Your Heart (Roxette) ft Violet Orlandi, Come Together (Beatles) with the Frogleap crew, Eye of the Tiger, What is Love, …
Mary is the only person I have seen that has been able to "tame" Leo to the point where they did a straight no-nonsense acoustic cover of Fast Car by Tracy Chapman.
Welcome to the Leo Rabbithole! Might as well make yourself confortable for a while lol! What I have learned from Leo, is any song can sound good in metal with the right enphasis!
I think one of his best is the cover of Listen To Your Heart. It's really amazing. However i love his entire catalog. His covers of hip hop songs, like Tricky, Bring the Noise and California Love, translate insanely well too.
I know Tasha reacted to Blackpink's How You Like That back in July of 2020, he has a great metal cover of that one. He also does a crazy cover of Walk by Pantera. Lastly try out his cover of the Cranberries Zombie, fantastically done.
I had Leo’s Childrens album blasting in my car an pulled up to a street light. The people next to me started nodding along and then did a double take when they realized it was the Muppet Show Theme song! I love so much of Leo’s music.
The lady singing and playing the banjo/guitar is Mary Spender, and this is even more interesting because this is not her usual musical style. For comparison, here is her cover of the same song: ua-cam.com/video/PcVJrul4sOA/v-deo.html
This was a you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours kind of deal. She did this cover with him, and he did a cover of "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman on her channel with her in more her style. It was also amazing. Recommend you check it out.
Leo is not merely a guitarist - he is a very talented multi-instumentalist, vocalist and arranger/producer with a FANTASTIC sense of humor! You should react to (both the original version and Leo's cover of) Dead South - "In Hell I'll Be Good Company", back to back in one video. That'd be fun!
Wow. First dude to get his name half ass right lol. This dude has talent! Check out his whole catalog...many songs you've already reacted to but with a fun but METAL touch! 🤘🏽💀🤘🏽
I was thoroughly impressed with what he did with Beyonce's 'Baby Boy' or Missy Elliott's 'Work It'. 2 songs that I didn't like before Leo got hold of them.
I caught this (Sultans of Swing) on Frog Leap Studios channel. She's a fantastic guitarist. If you get a chance, check out Mary Spender and Rhett Shull cover Nirvana's - Heart Shaped Box on her page.
You need to check out "Two Minutes to Late Night". They do metal covers but mix up the musicians so you might get a mix of members from say Coheed and Cambria + Mastodon + Primus + Tool and Mutoid Man Cover RUSH’s “Anthem”. Some of them are duds but there are several that are really good. They started doing this when COVID hit, it was a way for them to make money for out of work musicians.
Listen to your Heart What Does the Fox Say? Dance Monkey Carry On My Wayward Son Zombie Cover Me In Sunshine ... and the list goes on...................
Take it in the other direction. Great metal song into acoustic. Iron Maiden's Wasted Years (Acoustic Cover by MELANIE MAU & MARTIN SCHNELLA) Great solo from Pain of Salvation guitarist Johan Hallgren.
T you should check out 5 songs by Rob Scallon and Sarah Longfield. It follows a Story and SOOOO FUNNY and AWESOME. They are 1. Slayer - Payback (Ukulele cover w/ Sarah Longfield) 2. Cannibal Corpse - Evidence in the Furnace (Ukulele cover w/ Sarah Longfield) 3. Slayer - Piece by Piece (Ukulele cover w/ Sarah Longfield) 4. Slayer - Bloodline (Ukulele cover w/ Sarah Longfield) and last THE ESCAPE lol 5. Prison Break (ft. Sarah Longfield). Rob is an amazing Guitar player and does so many great videos on lots of things besides guitar. Check him out. I think you might enjoy.
Why did Adele cross the road? To say hello (from the other side). My favorite song by Leo is this one followed by Toto... Speaking if which, is Africa a country song? No. It is a continent song.
Leo's cover of "Hello" proves, that inside of every song, there is a metal song screaming to get out.
It makes a kickass metal song
I wouldn't have expected it.
Another good example of that is land of confusion covered by disturbed. It's like it was made to be metal, but didn't know it.
Check out frog leap studios. AC/DC back in black. Amazing

Absolutely loved this ... he has a new fan for sure ... thank you so much for sharing
"Listen to my Heart" is my favorite cover of his. The video is hilarious.

His drop it like it’s hot cover is great!
His version of Thriller is fun!
Love what he does with kids songs as well, like wheels on the bus.
Mary is the only person I have seen that has been able to "tame" Leo to the point where they did a straight no-nonsense acoustic cover of Fast Car by Tracy Chapman.
Put all his songs in a hat, just pick one and you've got a winner! Leo releases one song cover every Friday. Better get a big hat!
And this for nearly 10 Years......MANY Fridays :D
Welcome to the Leo Rabbithole! Might as well make yourself confortable for a while lol! What I have learned from Leo, is any song can sound good in metal with the right enphasis!
He's really amazing! Enjoy the journey ☺️💖🦋
11:04..."he did it...damn".....game set match
I think one of his best is the cover of Listen To Your Heart. It's really amazing. However i love his entire catalog. His covers of hip hop songs, like Tricky, Bring the Noise and California Love, translate insanely well too.
The extra story telling to WAP is hilarious.
Feel Good Inc. Is a great solo one and another collaboration would be Listen to Your Heart with Violet Orlandi. Both are terrific.
I know Tasha reacted to Blackpink's How You Like That back in July of 2020, he has a great metal cover of that one. He also does a crazy cover of Walk by Pantera. Lastly try out his cover of the Cranberries Zombie, fantastically done.

My favorite song from Leo was "Hello" until "Cover me with sunshine" came out which is now my favorite from him.
Leo is not merely a guitarist - he is a very talented multi-instumentalist, vocalist and arranger/producer with a FANTASTIC sense of humor!
