In Jesus' prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus said: "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me, yet not my will, but yours be done." How do you interpret this verse? Even though Jesus ended his prayer by submitting to the will of the Father, the desire to escape crucifixion had crossed his mind. Jesus once rebuked Peter for wanting to protect him from the people who wanted to crucify him. This rebuke is serious, because it claims that Peter's mind was possessed by the devil. In this way, Jesus' mind could still be infiltrated by the devil. And it is proven that Jesus was tempted in the desert by the devil. Isn't the worldly desire also a result of original sin? How can Christians say Jesus is 100% God, 100% human, while on the other hand they say Jesus did not sin?
@@parkjul718 : Think a bit rationally. If Jesus rebuked Peter from trying to interfere in what Jesus had to face, why would any idea of escaping from death have crossed Jesus' mind? That would make no sense.
Jesus didn't want to die on the charges that were levelled against him. That of being a blasphemer. That would bring reproach on his God's name.
Jesus was SENT by God to die and offset Adam's sin.
(Matthew 20:28) Just as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and TO GIVE HIS LIFE AS A RANSOM in exchange for many.”
Christians never say or believe that Jesus was God. That is what the apostate church came up with. Compare Acts 20:30.
Christians are DISCIPLES of Jesus. Not his worshipers.

Jesus time of prayer was truthfully prior to Him taking on our Sin,and shedding His Atoning blood, which alone saves us from our sin.
That is the sacred conversations with the Creator.
He spoke and prayed to his heavenly Father. He had his own will even when he was a human. He could disobay,he could sin, although he did not. He was saying that he was not doing his own will but the will of his Father. He had divine nature, he was begotten son of God, he was the firstborn of all creation. Meaning - he had the beginning. God did not. He died, but God can't die. He was tempted, God can't be tempted. Can God cry while dying - Oh,God why have you forsaken me?!

He is doing the will of his father...did he had own will? Of course, he had. He could desobay and not save us. God gave his son to save us. Amen to that. It was the soul of God speaking to the Spirit, which Spirit God is. You can even apply this principle to Gen. 1:26. where apparently God is speaking within Himself.

And you need to be put wise that only the male was made in God's image, with the woman being the weaker vessel and the first in transgressing. If mankind was made in God's image, then we would be spirit, soul, and body (which we are if we are renewed in the spirit of our mind as Christians. Were God a trinity of Persons, then so would they which are in His image. That is, we would have a multi personality defect. But thanks for the comment.

That's your explaination , Bible does'nt explain that way. To believe Jesus is God is very hard not only for me but for many christians as well. Many christians tried explaining that He is God referring Bible versus but there are also many instances where Jesus said that He did not know but God only knows.

No offence but it’s because Christians want to justify polytheism with the man made trinity concept and all this when it wasn’t even mentioned in the bible. Christianity has too many cracks and faults. Your God is one, not 3. It’s very simple like God made it for us. You are right, in part though. Jesus, who by Himself had marked the day of His second coming, but did not know it when He was in flesh. But after His resurrection, He knew about it.
But all through His life on earth, all that He did were were not of necessity, but they were just a demo, for His children to follow. There is only one God. He was in Heaven performing the office of the Father, on earth, the office of God-Man, and other offices under different "Names." Psalm 139 vividly describes God's omnipresence.

@@giovannimartini6405 thank you, Giovanni for the info. I don't have doubt that jesus came to us to spread the word of God. What I am gathering from you is Jesus is part of God, but not necessarily the same. To me "God" gives life and takes life; if Jesus died (I believe he is with God), that means he is not God and someone else took his life, someone more powerful than him. God the giver of life doesn't die.
@@starfinder1234 Thank you for you gentle answer. I think you're forgetting one thing: God the Son, by making Himself flesh, is willingly making Himself vulnerable. However, He is clearly able to defend Himself when He wants. See how easily He escapes from a group of Jews who wanted to kill Him:
"When they heard these things, all in the synagogue were filled with wrath. And they rose up and drove him out of the town and brought him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they could throw him down the cliff. But passing through their midst, he went away" (Lk 4, 28-30).
Also, when He foretells his death, He says:
"No one takes it [my life] from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again" (Jn 10,18).
Begotten of the Father before all ages. Not made, not created. There is a difference, but if you come from a Protestant Evangelical background like I did, it's a tough concept. But as an EO convert, I am learning there is just no way our finite, created minds can grasp the nature of God. It's faith, and it is a mystery. And, that's fine.

Humanity of Jesus is inferior to Divinity which is Spirit Level. Therefore Humanly God the Father is greater. On the the other hand Jesus Divinity as God the Son is neither younger nor order than God The Father nor The Holy Spirit. As God The Son,He is equal in substance to The Father and Holy Spirit and but remain ONE GOD . SAME SUBSTANCE IN MYSTERY OF HOLY TRINITY - FATHER SON AND HOLY SPIRIT.

People pray to Jesus because they believe in a trinity. That is to contravene the first commandment of God Which God says "You shall have no gods before Me." Let's apply simple logic. If he is God and you pray to God, then in essence, you pray to him, and have broken no laws. If he is not God and you pray to him as God, then you have broken the first commandment and practice idolatry. So which one would you rather do? It wasn't accurate. He didn't listen to the question. The question was why was Jesus praying in his human form if he himself is supposedly God? Who was he praying to is what the lady asked.
If you read the book of Judas, Jesus said that he wasn't praying to the same God as us. Again, there, who was Jesus praying to?

It's legal and just even if I'm guilty, I'm free to go if someone pays my fine!, so I'm free! the crime was paid. and this is what the blood of Jesus Christ is for you my friend! to pay for your crimes! to pay off all your debts! to pay the price of your sins. that is why Jesus Christ said, “It is finished” just before He died and 3 days before His resurrection! so on the day of judgement, you can’t get rid of the judgment of God and His wrath for your sins against Him without the blood of Jesus Christ! but with Jesus Christ you will be pure and clean in the sight of God on judgement day, because He wouldn’t see your sins, He would see the price He paid for you by the blood of His Son Jesus Christ and see His righteousness in you instead of your sins. like He says in john 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life. When Christ came in human form, he was tempted and lived as a human. He needed the spirit of God the Father, to help sustain Him through those 33 years. With that spirit, he was able to endure, do miracles and live sinless.
