My intention is not to put down the Bible, it's God's gift to us. It's valuable to this generation. In generations past before the invention of the Gutenberg Printing press, there was very limited access to the scriptures. The people of God had to rely on fallable men. The Spirit of God was essential for salvation. If a man has the Spirit of God, he has the law(10 commandments) written in his heart. So you see, I don't want to put the scriptures down, only elevate the voice of THE LIVING GOD!!!!

Hi Bonny, We are being tested but He knows our weaknesses and limits. Focus on what Jesus suffered. He took on himself our sicknesses and illnesses with the damage done to his body. He won your healing at great cost to himself. So receive healing in your body. God loves to heal His children. He set up the means for us to be healed so we need to receive it. This receiving (through faith) is probably where we struggle. Keep your focus on what Jesus has done at the whipping post and on the cross and meditate on the healing Scriptures (Ps 103, Isaiah 53 etc). In healing ALL who came to him Jesus claimed "I only do what I see my Father in heaven doing" (John 5:19 onwards), so we have absolute assurance that it is our Father's will to heal all of His children. Beautiful and meaningful arrangement. This event could also be related to your other video about what Jesus did between his death and resurrection. As Jesus spoke to Moses and Elijah is like preparing them to depart earth and go to heaven with him (all the righteous) that will happen in days while in his death. Just my theory through. I pondered and wondered, etc; to "What is that Transfiguration?". But I could never hear something; that even pricked my soul. Yet, I knew it was something; far above worldly thinking! And recently. after praying to Jesus, for "Wisdom, Understanding and the Truths"; that could come from NO place; but Jesus. For He is the ONLY "inerrant" and "Infallible" being; there will ever be! And I do believe Jesus answered me. So...the Transfiguration, and the Born Again's and Jesus' church; is built around NOTHING of this world. Rather: it must come from Heaven, from God Almighty. Now, God's name was "YHWH' (in writing) and "Yahweh" (in speaking) for 1400 yrs; until God changed it to "Yeshua", 2,000 yrs ago. But. in 1632 AD, it became Jesus in English! 'Til the End of the world. Thus, Jesus IS the only true God Almighty, that will ever be! Now many say..."Jesus was ONLY the 'Son of God'". Well Jesus WAS the Son of God. But He was the Father and the Holy Spirit too; at the SAME time, 3=1. A "Heavenly Trinity'! But sadly many say this, "That is NOT possible!". But Jesus says this in...Matthew 19:26 Beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Now Jesus as a child; was NOT a heavenly being. UNTIL...that "Transfiguration" came to fruition. And I believe that the entire period; of Jesus, Moses, Elijah, John, James and Peter; was to make Jesus; a Heavenly Spiritual God Almighty, again. Excellent exegesis! I find it interesting that in sequence, this happens after the mass feeding, where in detail Jesus says again and again “Except you eat of My Flesh, and drink of My Blood…..” and then in response to Peter’s answer says, “Flesh and Blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father in heaven!” We then conclude that, even before the Holy Spirit was given; “Who Jesus is”, is a Divine revelation to the heart of the believer.

Jesus told His deciples several times that He would be delivered to the gentiles and be killed and raised on the third day. Luke 18:31-33😇 But they never understood what He was saying. That’s the important question. There were no images preserved of Moses that the scriptures speak of. Neither were there any images of Elijah. God’s servants were very humble people. They didn’t stand around posing for an artist to paint a portrait of them like they were some arrogant self-absorbed monarch/ruler. It’s my opinion that either Jesus explained who was being portrayed by the VISIONS because these images were not actually Moses and Elijah since they were dead. Or, God gave them an understanding, through some miraculous means, of who were being depicted by these two male figures.
And further, even though Simon, son of Jonah, just made confession as to Who Jesus is, he was still willing to make equal "shrines" for all 3. As a type of Israel, Simon Peter shows that the law and the prophets were held in high regard, even equal to the Messiah. The Voice from heaven declares that Jesus is greater than both, and that He is the One to fulfill and complete both. "Hear Him"
What if Elijah and Moses are the 2 witnesses in Revelation 11? Will the people of that time know who they are? A lot of speculation goes into who these 2 men are, and most use the Transfiguration as their basis. But, consider also, that both men were on Mt Horeb in a cave (Exodus 33 & 1 Kings 19), both of them stood before and talked with God, both of them had their faces covered (Moses with God's hand, and later with a veil; Elijah wrapped his head in his mantle), both of them were witnesses for God, both of them had mysterious "deaths"- exits from this world. Asking questions is good. Searching the Scriptures for answers is the reward. The Lord is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6
transfiguration is recorded for us in Matthew 17:1-13, Mark 9:2-13 and Luke 9:28-36. The preserved accounts tell us that Jesus took three of His disciples high on top of a mountain, where they saw Him "transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light" (Matthew 17:2). He then appeared to be having a conversation with Moses and Elijah. Luke records that they "appeared in glory and spoke of His decease which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem" (Luke 9:31). Jesus told Peter, James and John to "tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man is risen from the dead" (Matthew 17:9, emphasis added). So the disciples saw a vision of the future, not something that was actually happening in their time. We can also see this in the phrase "appeared in glory." The apostle Paul writes that at death a Christian's body is "sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory" (1 Corinthians 15:43). When Christ's followers are resurrected at Christ's return to earth, they will be "raised in glory." However, Christ's resurrection to His glorified form made Him the "firstborn from the dead" (Revelation 1:5). Since Christ is first, it is impossible that Moses and Elijah were resurrected to glory before Christ. This helps show that the transfiguration was only a vision of things to come. In a similar fashion to the book of Revelation, where the apostle John was given a vision of end-time events as if they were happening around him, the transfiguration gave Peter, James and John a partial vision of the Kingdom of God as if it were truly there. Christ had promised this vision six to eight days prior in Luke 9:27, where He told a crowd (which included Peter, James and John) that "there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God" (see also Matthew 16:28 and Mark 9:1). The Kingdom of God is not yet here, but everyone in that 2,000-year-old crowd has "tasted death." Christ's statement was fulfilled when three of His apostles witnessed the transfiguration on the mount, a vision of that same Kingdom.

Luke adds a part that Matthew misses. Luke 20:38 He is a God, not of the dead, but of the living, for they are all living to him.” The dead are not actually living (Compare Ecclesiastes 9:10). They are living in God's memory. That is how God will resurrect them (Acts 24:15).

I'm 75 now,I've learned so much in my recent yrs,by seeking, reading,thk u for sharing.ive realized how much people are missing out on.during pandemic it was recommended to watch the sopranos or other series.very little mention was made for us to turn to God and prayer.
They are the witnesses to Jesus's transfiguration, his resurrection, and will be the two witnesses told in revelations proclaiming the truth.

Before this event Moses stood for the Law and Elijah stood for the prophets. The FATHER made it clear that we are to listen to HIS SON, first and foremost!!! Hebrews 1:1 states the same.

My intention is not to put down the Bible, it's God's gift to us. It's valuable to this generation.
In generations past before the invention of the Gutenberg Printing press, there was very limited access to the scriptures. The people of God had to rely on fallable men. The Spirit of God was essential for salvation. If a man has the Spirit of God, he has the law(10 commandments) written in his heart.

Hi Bonny, We are being tested but He knows our weaknesses and limits. Focus on what Jesus suffered. He took on himself our sicknesses and illnesses with the damage done to his body. He won your healing at great cost to himself. So receive healing in your body. God loves to heal His children. He set up the means for us to be healed so we need to receive it. This receiving (through faith) is probably where we struggle. Keep your focus on what Jesus has done at the whipping post and on the cross and meditate on the healing Scriptures (Ps 103, Isaiah 53 etc). In healing ALL who came to him Jesus claimed "I only do what I see my Father in heaven doing" (John 5:19 onwards), so we have absolute assurance that it is our Father's will to heal all of His children. Hang on. Let the Holy Spirit guide you.

For 85 yrs of my 91 yrs old now. I pondered and wondered, etc; to "What is that Transfiguration?". But I could never hear something; that even pricked my soul. Yet, I knew it was something; far above worldly thinking!
And recently. after praying to Jesus, for "Wisdom, Understanding and the Truths"; that could come from NO place; but Jesus. For He is the ONLY "inerrant" and "Infallible" being; there will ever be!
And I do believe Jesus answered me. So...the Transfiguration, and the Born Again's and Jesus' church; is built around NOTHING of this world. Rather: it must come from Heaven, from God Almighty.
Now, God's name was "YHWH' (in writing) and "Yahweh" (in speaking) for 1400 yrs; until God changed it to "Yeshua", 2,000 yrs ago. But. in 1632 AD, it became Jesus in English! 'Til the End of the world. Thus, Jesus IS the only true God Almighty, that will ever be! Now many say..."Jesus was ONLY the 'Son of God'".
Well Jesus WAS the Son of God. But He was the Father and the Holy Spirit too; at the SAME time, 3=1. A "Heavenly Trinity'! But sadly many say this, "That is NOT possible!". But Jesus says this in...Matthew 19:26 Beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Now Jesus as a child; was NOT a heavenly being. UNTIL...that "Transfiguration" came to fruition. And I believe that the entire period; of Jesus, Moses, Elijah, John, James and Peter; was to make Jesus; a Heavenly Spiritual God Almighty, again. Praise precious Jesus' Holy Name.
Remember beloveds in, Mathew 19:26! For...God does NOT go by worldly "logic" EVER! And He has NO limits either! Please keep that in your Souls, Forever!
And also, the same thing happens; to any "image of God", when the Holy Spirit gives them a NEW being; after they believe IN Jesus. And that is being "Born Again". But NOT just another "fleshly" birth. Rather: a Heavenly Spiritual Birth! That lasts forever!
Thus, any Born Again's, since Creation, WILL go to the New Heaven, on "Judgment Day". Because WE too, will become, ONE with God forever. Praise precious Jesus' Holy Name.

Excellent exegesis! I find it interesting that in sequence, this happens after the mass feeding, where in detail Jesus says again and again “Except you eat of My Flesh, and drink of My Blood…..” and then in response to Peter’s answer says, “Flesh and Blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father in heaven!” We then conclude that, even before the Holy Spirit was given; “Who Jesus is”, is a Divine revelation to the heart of the believer.

I always wondered how Peter knew it was Moses and Elijah. Is there a description somewhere of what they looked like? Name tags?
That’s the important question.
There were no images preserved of Moses that the scriptures speak of. Neither were there any images of Elijah.
God’s servants were very humble people. They didn’t stand around posing for an artist to paint a portrait of them like they were some arrogant self-absorbed monarch/ruler.
It’s my opinion that either Jesus explained who was being portrayed by the VISIONS because these images were not actually Moses and Elijah since they were dead.
Or, God gave them an understanding, through some miraculous means, of who were being depicted by these two male figures.
And further, even though Simon, son of Jonah, just made confession as to Who Jesus is, he was still willing to make equal "shrines" for all 3.
As a type of Israel, Simon Peter shows that the law and the prophets were held in high regard, even equal to the Messiah. The Voice from heaven declares that Jesus is greater than both, and that He is the One to fulfill and complete both.

What if Elijah and Moses are the 2 witnesses in Revelation 11? Will the people of that time know who they are?
A lot of speculation goes into who these 2 men are, and most use the Transfiguration as their basis. But, consider also, that both men were on Mt Horeb in a cave (Exodus 33 & 1 Kings 19), both of them stood before and talked with God, both of them had their faces covered (Moses with God's hand, and later with a veil; Elijah wrapped his head in his mantle), both of them were witnesses for God, both of them had mysterious "deaths"- exits from this world.
Asking questions is good. Searching the Scriptures for answers is the reward. The Lord is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6
transfiguration is recorded for us in Matthew 17:1-13, Mark 9:2-13 and Luke 9:28-36. The preserved accounts tell us that Jesus took three of His disciples high on top of a mountain, where they saw Him "transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light" (Matthew 17:2). He then appeared to be having a conversation with Moses and Elijah. Luke records that they "appeared in glory and spoke of His decease which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem" (Luke 9:31).
Jesus told Peter, James and John to "tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man is risen from the dead" (Matthew 17:9, emphasis added). So the disciples saw a vision of the future, not something that was actually happening in their time.
We can also see this in the phrase "appeared in glory." The apostle Paul writes that at death a Christian's body is "sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory" (1 Corinthians 15:43). When Christ's followers are resurrected at Christ's return to earth, they will be "raised in glory." However, Christ's resurrection to His glorified form made Him the "firstborn from the dead" (Revelation 1:5). Since Christ is first, it is impossible that Moses and Elijah were resurrected to glory before Christ. This helps show that the transfiguration was only a vision of things to come.
In a similar fashion to the book of Revelation, where the apostle John was given a vision of end-time events as if they were happening around him, the transfiguration gave Peter, James and John a partial vision of the Kingdom of God as if it were truly there.
Christ had promised this vision six to eight days prior in Luke 9:27, where He told a crowd (which included Peter, James and John) that "there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God" (see also Matthew 16:28 and Mark 9:1). The Kingdom of God is not yet here, but everyone in that 2,000-year-old crowd has "tasted death." Christ's statement was fulfilled when three of His apostles witnessed the transfiguration on the mount, a vision of that same Kingdom.

Luke 20:38 He is a God, not of the dead, but of the living, for they are all living to him.”
The dead are not actually living (Compare Ecclesiastes 9:10). They are living in God's memory. That is how God will resurrect them (Acts 24:15).
