A guru is a person who teaches us about life. With that logic, the entire life experience - which includes incidents, books, conversations, failures, dreams etc are Gurus. The celebrities who consider a person as a Guru are naive. They hallucinate that in addition to money and fame, they have also got the "secret door" to heaven. For the rich like Mohanlal, Amma is like a "family Guru" or "personal celebrity therapist". Right now Amruta colleges and hospitals are run like business. The education institutions are a shelter for RSS sympathisers to brainwash young kids with their Hindutva idelology - of Vedas, caste system , brahmin supremacy etc. In competition with Muslim and Christian educational institutions(who adopt similar tactics), Amma has allowed RSS to preach the much vilified caste supremist scriptures in her institutions. Recently, I went to Chinmay mission hospital and felt good about Chinmaya, and then watched a video of chinmayananda preaching that caste system was required for breeding high quality people, he even called Shudras as those "who needed to be flogged to get work done". The best option is to have a Hindu religion minus the caste system, the scriptures , the brahmins and the spiritual leaders.
Haha, it shows you have never been to Amrita vidyalaya . lol. Go to ashram, stay for a week and investigate with your skeptical mind. Go for dashan. Return Home and do the processing inside.. capitulate and analyse the experience yourself. Then give a comment.
And Regarding their Business- they are doing a very good job and that's how 101 + villages are being adopted and nurtured, which is just one of the great endeavors of ashram.
+Parvathy V: 1. I have been to Amrita Eng College in bangalore and Amma Medical college in Coimbatore. I have also been to ashram in Karunagapally, kollam. I also know about how Kerala paper and electronic media was terrorized from publishing news about Amma. I have also seen goons of ashram chasing protestors during nurse strike. We all know what happened to Gail Tredwell's book Holy Hell. The local people also know about the murky things.So I know whats going on. 2. You asked if I had darshan? Why should I have darshan? Is Amma God? As per which book of Hinduism? 3. Charity. The money Amma has is people's and devotees money? So in effect it is devotees doing charity, not amma.
