Terrific and very helpful review. You actually drive the thing properly and then talk in detail about how that feels. I am in the fortunate position of being able to afford one and this video might just have persuaded me. Thanks mate.

Excellent review of a fantastic car. Very well presented from a future Top Gear Co presenter! Seriously though, great commentary and camera work, love the car sounds Awesome. 👍
I love how closed captioning identifies the exhaust note as “music”. It’s so accurate in my opinion that the AI programmer must have been a petrolhead.
😄Haha I hadn't noticed that but it certainly is a glorious sound track to accompany the car! Nice to know the AI that will rule us is a car enthusiast 😅
It’s changes everything. 1000% the best mod I did on my XKR. Let them know I sent you hehe. It made my XKR make my XKRS sound like a MOUSE. Much louder in the cabin without drone. Cracks and pops like a Ftype (moreso that you can really hear it in the car). Make a video of it and let them know you will be promoting their product - god knows not many have this mod and they should! All you need is the Stage 2. I chose to not have any baffled - Full V8 - ALL THE TIME.
@@markwarner5910 😯 totally missed this comment. Apologies- I'm communicating with a garage to do the pulley mod and remap. Very happy with the Mitchellins for now. I trust you have good driving weather where you are? 🌞

Hey, I really like your videos. I'm a designer so appreciate the detail at the beginning showing you have great taste in more than cars. Coffee maker, etc...
I love the F-type but nothing beats the XK icon range. Jaguar must bring it back. Making it more lighter, better infotainment system and with more efficient engines. Including more engine options to choose from, so they may afford it. This is the best GT car of all time. It's a real shame it wasn't sold enough. Now the XF sportbrake will no longer be sold in the US market. Jaguar & LandRover is in trouble. The Indian and chinese corporations have ruined the brand.
@@QuickShiftTV2024 You're welcome man. That was a good review. On another note, that rotary gear mode swivel is what separates Jaguar from the rest. Such an elegant thing. It rises up when you turn the engine on as if it greets you when you get inside and super easy to use. Now, it's replaced by an ugly fat knob thing in the new XF and F-Pace. But the rest of the interior is nice and fresh.
I don’t know that I agree. I think that Tata has increased reliability and brought the brand into the top tier for luxury brands (customer satisfaction is as high as many Japanese brands). Jaguar is still plagued by the long American memory of electrical gremlins and other issues in the earlier days being peddled by people like David “The Wizzard” Long, of Hoovies Garage. He commands a big following and hawks American makes like the Camaro over a gorgeous beast like this. It doesn’t seem to matter what they do, so how do they battle against that rhetoric from such a huge market?
Love your review! I've owned 3 different Jags: 1989 XJS Rouge Edition Coupe (V-12), 2003 XK8 Convertible, and 2014 XK Coupe. Love(d) them all, and still have the last 2! Your video makes me want to pursue the purchase of a 2014 or 2015 XKRS, or at least an XKR. Great video!
Had a 2010XK, then finally stepped up to a 2015XKR, was a signature away from getting this one, but for me it was a tad overdone looks wise, still a sick ride! But getting the one you have in that Sega Blue is the only color to have that car in, absolutely beautiful! Good job my man!!
@@QuickShiftTV2024 @Quick Shift TV Haha, trust me, you won't want to drive it in winter! Any temps under 50 degrees and this thing is way more dangerous than it already is in hot weather! But it does make for an exciting drive, lol
That drive selector swivel is the best thing in a Jag. It's what kept it different from other brands. Elegant and easy to use. Now they got rid off it. Instead, now they placed a stupid fat knob shift thing. Ugly.
When it comes to the point of streaming music, you can buy: "Bovee 1000 with RR iPod Integration Cable for Range Rover, Land Rover, Jaguar Wireless Bluetooth Audio interface Car Kit for in car iPod Integration." It did cost £100, but it effectively means you can stream music through the car from your phone. I use it for listening to audiobooks on really long journeys, but never has a good sound system been more wasted than on this car. I truly sit with the audio at zero and just listen to the car when I drive. I have an XKR rather than the XKR-S, though. The extra punch of the exhaust note from the XKR-S is delightful. My one ownership gripe has come from not hearing the beautiful sounds so much inside the cabin, I watch all these reviews and spend my time wondering if mine sounds like that. My other half couldn't care less about it, so I don't even have someone to ask to listen out for me!
Thank you for the comment Dan, aswell as subscribing. I'll look into the Bovee Cable as that may be useful. Interesting that you'd like a bit more noise in the cabin too. My external mic may over emphasise the exhaust noise inside the car, but it does sound good. Happy motoring! 👍🏻
