    Awesome video. Did I hear you say you're switching to amsoil?
    I have a 340i with MHD Stage 2 and I changed the Amsoil Euro 0w20 for the signature series 5w30 the day I installed the intake, catless dp, and tune. What line/weight of amsoil do you plan on running?
    I changed the Amsoil at 7500 miles after the tune and it still had a translucent red hue to it as it was draining.
    Lastly, I thought Amsoil was PAO group 4 oil, and in order to go to a full group 5 oil, you would need something ester based like Motul 300V, and end up doing oil changes more often.

    Awesome vid and thanks for sharing! I have 2 questions sir whenever able.
    1) During next oil change, how do you get to the magnet to clean off any shaving or residue? Do you have to snap out the plastic filter holder every time? It would be nice to be able to get it all clean at change time.
    2) Do you think these have any effect good or bad on the disintegration meaning have you heard of any filter disintegration in any aluminum billet oil caps ever?

      If you go with the metal cap with the magnet, I would suggest purchasing another plastic oil filter cap for a spare check valve. The check valve plastic basket mounting tabs will eventually break from removing and reinstalling during oil changes.

      Filter disintegration happens when you do service between too long of intervals, I try to stick to 5k miles but now I do it closer to 2k miles because of my build.

    As far as I know, magnets pickup steel shavings, not aluminum, copper, plastic and magnesium. That's where the filter itself comes into play. Also there are mixed reviews on the alloy oil filter caps having a greater risk in cross threading and damaging an already vulnerable plastic filter housing on the B58. Just my 0.02..

      Yeah idk why I said that. Obviously just ferrous material, that’s my mistake. And no risk of cross threading, as with anything, just be careful and hand tighten first before using tools to torque it in.
