Woodturning a Resin and Milliput Enclosed Bowl - Easy Wood Tools Special
Вставка
- Опубліковано 20 жов 2024
- In this video I create a large hybrid blank from Idigbo wood, epoxy resin and Milliput and turn an enclosed bowl with a difference. I came up with this project as a way of demonstrating the new Negative Rake Tips from Easy Wood Tools. These tips were especially designed for resin work as they greatly reduce the chance of chipping out the resin. I usually use a mixture of traditional and modern tools for my turning but this project was turned using Easy Wood Tools only.
Easy Wood Tools are available in the UK fro Amazon.co.uk

Great bowl Jim. You did a better job with the clear resin than I did on my next project. I don't have the buffing wheels or the micro fine..

Hey Jim. Thia bowl is bloody beautiful my friend. You realy did a good job and thanks for sharing your tip on resin savers buddy. This is going to help me alot next year when i eventualy start casting and turning resin.
Thank you very much, yes resin savers will save you a lot of money and certainly make hollowing out much easier.
Cheers
Jim
Fantastic! I love the overall effect it's stunning. I'm definitely going to have to try milliput and resin in a project...I've only ever used resin as a thin covering on wall art so I'll be doing a little research. Thanks for the vid and the inspiration Jim. 👍😁
Thank you very much. Choose a slow set resin when using in larger volumes as it does not overheat so easily, not usually a problem with wall art. Cheers, Jim
Really nice mate keep up the good work inspiring
