Kid Eternity I think could make a comeback if written well. He was An interesting add to Teen Titans when he helped Kid Devil figure out what contract he signed his soul away on. I didn't realize he was a golden age character.
The only three outside of the direct Marvel family and Shazam himself that I had ever even heard of were Dr. Sivana, Mr. Mind, and Black Adam. It's honestly pretty sad that such a rich comic history has fallen into such obscurity.
The origin of the Wizard/Champion and the rock of eternity is pretty cool. Shazam family was always a decent set of characters. The movie is good but I never liked the new 52 incarnation that much. I always liked Captain Marvel Jr and Mary Marvel pre new 52.
I remember the line, said by Firestorm iirc Capt Marvel, Mary Marvel, Cpt Marvel Jr, Uncle Marvel?/if kid marvel, baby marvel and foetus marvel show up I'm leaving. He had a fair point about how far can you stretch a theme. The line I remembered when the recent movie came out with 5? Different versions of Marvel overkill and lack of ideas to give them their own identity and power sets??/seems like lazy writing.
I'm pretty sure I remember reading a story featuring a Captain Thunder. He pretty much looks like Captain Marvel with the same power set except a round sun icon appears on his chest and he calls out Thunder to change. This may have been sometime in the 70's or early 80's in a Superman book. My best guess was this was one of DC's attempt to bring the character back without using the Captain Marvel name?
He was a Superman villain. Superman also had Dr. Chaos who was a backwards villainous version of Dr. Fate. There were other villains who were based on heroes on other worlds.
The Bulletman one I'm surprised about, cause a lot of sources say it's in the public domain now for not being used by DC after acquisition. Which is why Hasbro has produced toys of the character without DC or Fawcett licensing since the 2000s.
I would love to see the Agents of T.H.U.N.D.E.R. and their affiliated Super comrades ( Dynamo, No-Man, Raven, Quicksilver, Mentor ) I think they would work well in the current TV & Film realms.
Then you can get into power MAN and WonderMan vs Power Girl and Wonder Woman. Or Deathstroke vs Dead Pool or Namor vs Aquaman? Not to mention how many Cpt Marvels we have had after the original Mar-Vell and including the derivative Ms Marvel and her turn as Cpt Marvel. Monica Rambeau (now Photon), Marvel's kid. A new female In the role. I mean really how much can you scrape the bottom of the barrel here??
Thanks to the Shazam movie, which introduced 3 new Shazam's it totally threw the balance of power in favor of the Heroes! Adding 3 more Superman class Heroes into my Justice League Reserve shifted the Power Balance of my Earth 1.
I hope Christopher Freeman comes back. Well I hope Freddy comes back. Hopefully since Mary is taking over as the champion The freeman Brothers will be in the video. i love the detail you put in your videos, thank you
I would like to see Mister Banjo followed by The Crocodile Men. Something about a guy who could go toe to toe with an opponent with just a banjo is priceless. Make him a hipster, coffee house musician who’s really a spy for a foreign power. Unlike his original version I see him as a charmer that no one suspects because he plays a banjo, but he's a skilled combatant. I picture the Crocodile Men having a connection to Sobek. Maybe there could be some ancient curse that turned his worshippers into crocodiles and they’re forced to live eternity as such.
That first one is just a bad idea. Or a bad description(or superfluous description). There's a couple of music villains that play an instrument. Though he's basically a spy. Here's an issue I see with a lot of the fanfictiony descriptions. They keep thinking that they're going to surprise people. Or that it's going to be a joke/amusing. It's not. People will either accept it or they won't. And whatever novelty will wear off. Let's take away those things from your description. He's a musician without special powers but he's a skilled hand to hand fighter. How would being a charmer translate into anything? He's easy going? Literal charm powers? It's vague is my point, or stereotypical. That's a bit overdone for music characters. But he's a spy so it's fine if he's a good fighter. He's also someone captain marvel has dealt with before so it shouldn't be a surprise. He could be like el mariachi too, which adult swim added(not sure if the comics did it before). Anyway he couldn't go toe to toe with marvel. He had a plot to be figured out. And saying he's a hipster doesn't add anything either. Because that's also vague. It's mildly how other people describe a style of dress that uses some old or used aesthetics. That's not a personality. It's not about food choices. And people don't really use the word. So you might mean he's stylistically anarchronistic. But that isn't unique to hipsters. He can just be a regular banjo player and no one would be able to tell. The words meaning isn't very useful.
@@DSan-kl2yc There’s more to a character than just their skills. Batman for instance has a diverse array of foes and some do outpower him and yet that doesn’t stop him from fighting them. 🤔Kid Eternity (My #1 favorite Golden Age character) is a Quality Comics creation not a Fawcett one. His inclusion in this reality should also be given to other Quality Comics characters so that both Fawcett and Quality can exist in the same reality. Captain Thunder who was a Captain Marvel reflection in a 1970s Superman issue was not a villain but a confused hero upon his arrival in Metropolis. The subtle Captain Marvel tie ins for Captain Thunder had Native American versions which was probably intentional at the time because when the story was published the Native American Civil Rights Movement was in the news. It would have been interesting if DC had revisited Captain Thunders Earth and to have other Fawcett type heroes/heroines being of Native American background.

There was a series of The All-Star Squadron who fought Captain Marvel who they could not call Cpt Marvel due to Marvel owning the ® sooo when he was transported to Earth 2 during WW2 he landed in Axis controlled Europe and fell under the sway of The Spear of Destiny and the 3rd Reich. Where you know who dubbed him "Hauptmann Wunder! " or Captain Wonder ( nice work by DC ) and set him as Villian to protect the Reich. England not being part of Axis territory was not included in the spell. Halfway across the English Channel the spell fades. I thought it creative use of the character and avoided © problems.
This predated them naming him after the Wizard Shazam.
