+LINEAGEIII I love the fact it took so long for the people who actually gave him their money to finally bitch about it. I've never liked this guy. Still I'm a Megaman fan. +robatfreedomhouse that said, it's still not a great level, not when you compare it to the level from the Shovel Knight dev. That level felt like it could belong in Mario. Pipes that are optional usually give you some sort of reward that help the player in addition to skipping a large portion of the level. Inafune's level was simply too short to make use of an optional pipe, especially when the only reward is 1UPs, which are pointless in SMM outside of 100 Mario Challenge.

+Defualt It may not just be entirely comcept that has problems. Issues with the partnering companies may also affect the delays. The mastering process of the game is kinda strict. If you say you have multiplayer in the game, it must be included. Otherwise, they have to start the process all over again, taking an even longer time... Besides backers did actually support the "Online Racing Mode" in that additional Kickstarter funds so he has to add it just to please u backers :P It's really a lose lose situation for comcept. Also according to MAGFEST, Inafune says "18-20 out of 24 master ROMs are complete". I assume presumably the PS Vita and the 3DS versions are the ones having the most trouble with its multiplayer component since it is coded differently and the porting is handled by a separate company (those versions were built entirely from scratch compare to the other platforms). And while it is a good idea to release the game separately, he says he wants to release all at the same time for a "proper release" watever that means. Then again it is a small company trying to handle 8-10 platforms of the same game with different codes managed by only about 10 people so i guess some reasons are somewhat understandable. I'm a patient guy anyways. It is agreeable that the deadline should be met and comcept has bad business practices but u cant be 100% certain this will come. Heck u should see Rockstar having to delay almost all their GTA games at least 3-5 times for small bug fixes... Like Metazoxan Dexall says, they had a problem with over promising so they try a different approach. And also Shante the Half Genie was also delayed to the same length as Mighty No 9. Bad business practices does not mean bad game. Well its bad but they at least try to fix their mistakes from the horrendous events on Red Ash and stuff. Comcept is still a small company that is still learning on mistakes (pretty much like ur typical office size or yet smaller) so its no doubt delays will happen.
awesome concept for a video. it's funny how people some how think making a mario maker level is going to further delay mighty no 9. as if infaune is programming the game himself...
Seeing this makes me wanna cry this guy Used to make games like Mega Man and my favorite franchise Dead Rising. He can be considered my favorite developer of all time,But most people would know him of the atrocious that is Mighty No.9 which is basically Mega Man but with a name change,I hope this guy does make a good game and has a brink of future for his games and His legacy this man deserves the praise for what his been through,Capcom back then has done terrible things to people.Keji and Hideki are pretty much the big ones who are in this mess who now are at other companies,it pains me to say that he needs to comeback to Dead Rising and Show Hipster beard and the others how to make a Dead Rising game.I hope this man has a good future and don't let anything get him down,Maybe Red Ash can get him back into the spotlight.Who knows at this point it may fail too But that won't keep him from stopping making games.I truly hope this man future is the Brightest it can be.
Oh Inafune, what happened to you? You were once an Inaf-King, but now your an Ina-Failure. :( *shakes fist in anger* WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM CAPCOOOOOOOOOOOOOM?!?!
Akira Kitamura is the real creator of megaman, Keiji Inafune was designer for some villans. It's sad thing that many megaman fans don't know the truth.
+AnimeSRWZ Kitamura did the pixel art for Mega Man, and then Inafune had to draw up an actual design for the character that corroborated Kitamura's pixel art. Inafune has always been up front about that though. He has never misled people about the scope of his involvement in the creation of Mega Man and in the development of the early Mega Man titles.
What happened with the big at the edge jumps? What happened with the variety of foes? What happened with the creative enemy placement? What happened with the over than average ground design? What happened with the length of the level? What happened with the LEVEL BOSS!?!??!? (Put a key inside of bowser or semething) Why does he says megaman and no rockman? Why does everyone is bitching about migthy no.9? In fact: What happened with Migthy no.9?
At the time the kickstarter was starting (lol redundances) I hated the project, I was afriad that it would destroy Megaman, later Internet made me love the project, and now internet wants for me to hate it. ¿Dafuck?
Iván Gerardo Casas Torres why are you blaming the internet? the guy bromised and he scammed the internet and ran off with 5.9 million which he used on booze and hokers
gtomanga Ok, ok, Keiji Inafune is not that great, but the only thing I hate the most of him (at least this day) is his lame mario maker level. But, I'm really excited for the release of migthy no.9, because I just want to see what will happen with the game, the gamers, the crowdfunders, the critics, the megaman franchise, the hype, and the Internet. And, as how it lookss, it will be nothing nice.
The level was pretty simple, however it's the block spacing that brought back flashbacks of heatman's stage. I think it was very cleaver how he spaced them really close, Just like in megaman, you could die by overshooting a jump.
Even though Inafune Has been turned into kind of a joke recently, I do generally hope he’s doing OK. With all the hate and Memes surrounding him I really hope he’s feeling all right even if he has made some strange choices in the past.
I would have made multiple simple, single-screen platform puzzles with vines to simulate ladders, and long sections with enemy obstacles you have to get past, and made it SMB1 themed to restrict holding items.
+TheBlackLink It's done, it just the Multiplayer he's having trouble with. I wish he would just release the singleplayer and patch the online later but then again people blast him for not releasing a full product.
+Darkserge X The mastering process of the game is kinda strict. U must match their exact specifications for the console versions. Whatever u include must be in there. If they have multiplayer, it must be included. Otherwise, they have to start the process all over again, taking an even longer time... Besides backers did actually support the "Online Racing Mode" in that additional Kickstarter funds so he has to add it just to please u backers :P It's really a lose lose situation for comcept. And while it is a good idea to release the game separately, he says he wants to release all at the same time for a "proper release" watever that means. Then again it is a small company so i guess some reasons are somewhat understandable. I'm a patient guy anyways. Also Mighty No 9 is also going to be ported into another console known as the FUZE Tomahawk F1 as their flagship only avaliable in China. The Tomahawk is scheduled for "next month" but may subject to change... It has been developed long before for this platform but unsure if the build is complete or suffering the same issue as the mobile versions... Anyways lots of stuff going on... And Keiji Inafune is the project leader :P Not really him actually doing the coding :P
It's a shame how Mighty No.9 and the like turned out, because he really does come across as a nice guy who's passionate about what he does. Not to mention, even if he is given a little too much credit for his influence on Megaman as a series, it doesn't change the fact that he did have a large part in making the series what it was. I really do hope he continues to get work in the future, and I honestly hope we get a Mighty No.9 sequel because with the right fixes it could be a good game. Red Ash too, I hope that does happen eventually.
Those levels look easy. I made some levels in the past that are almost comparable to the super mario frustration forever NES hack where you had to abuse/exploit bugs.
Despite all the hate Inafune is getting for mighty no 9 (not going to say it's completely unjustified) I did like the look of the level. It reminded me of a Megaman 1 stage.
And you gave this con artist 4 MILLION DOLLARS. He doesn't even care about his own fans. His career is done. Con artist, con-cept. He's a massive liar. THIS is why capcom let him go! And Capcom's worse shit.
Whatever they say, to my Keiji Inafune is a genius at the height of Hideo Kojima and Shigeru Miyamoto; without him the legendary saga of Mega Man would not have become possible, should learn to value their legacy.
Wait a minute, he released a level? Is there going to be an anime or comic based on it?
+Paintamaster2000 LOL

Exactly

It's been 5 years since he made it
I'm amazed he managed to release the stage on time.
Surprised he doesn't call Mega Man as "Rockman" anymore.
+ryoga316 He did call him Rockman. It was transcripted as Mega Man for obvious reasons.
If you listen to his dialogue closely, he does refer Rockman as "Mega Man" instead of the original Japanese name, and not just in the transcript.
I heard "Rokkuman" and "Rokku" in there
ryoga316
Its "rocket man". Not rock man. Idiots
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockman
Not many people know that this level was delayed 6 times before release , and he also did a kickstarter for it .
Is that meant to be a joke about might no 9? 😐
@@KoalaSpace360 indeed

I don't think you can make the warp pipes hidden off-screen like that. Since it was an airship level, the screen would have shifted to reveal it eventually.

That's just a side effect of making an airship level. The display bobs up and down really slowly, which could hide some level elements.
I would have said the same thing, tao.
"I also wanted to include some mechanics from...*Mighty No. 9*"
It's no surprise at all.
This is probably the worst stage out of all the Devs so far.

Came here to see the comments. The internet never fails to entertain me.
This is a great series. So awesome to see the different ways great gaming minds think about making levels.
I couldn't agree more
He was actually thinking of how to make money off this Mario Maker stage in Kickstarter.
The platform placement gives a strong Mega Man feel to the stage. Also that hidden pipe is great.
Yes and also the ennemies placement, he created this level as an action level.
That level was also infinitely easier than any megaman stage ever
"Buy my Mario Maker levels! Only $60! I'll throw in a second Mario Maker map if you reach $4,000,000!"
Man, what happened to him. From one of the most respected men in the industry to the most HATED in a matter of moments.
Because Internet
Mighty No. 9 happened.
It's ok: I still love Mega Man Legends 1 and 2.
Reading this comment section makes me feel like an anime fan on prom night.
"better than nothing"
So this is why Mighty No 9 got delayed again.
Today in the news, Keiji Inafune is doing doing literally anything besides releasing Mighty No.9
I was wondering why Mighty9 was taking so long. He simply got bored of it and started playing Mario Maker. Can't blame him, its a far better game anyways.

I came here for the hate and it did not dissapoint. Lol!!
coolbut whens he making Mghty No.9?
Mighty Mario Bros.:
It'll make you cry like an anime fan on prom night.
Oh Inafune, what happened to you? You were once an Inaf-King, but now your an Ina-Failure. :(
*shakes fist in anger* WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM CAPCOOOOOOOOOOOOOM?!?!
At 3:00 you can see the Flutter from Mega Man Legends!
+JackAttack272 GOOD EYE!!! (Y)
When people are asking for their game but you are procrastinating
Of course he'd make a difficult level, he created megaman XD
It doesn't look difficult at all though to be honest :)
+Mark Fuzuzu L
Akira Kitamura is the real creator of megaman, Keiji Inafune was designer for some villans.
It's sad thing that many megaman fans don't know the truth.
+AnimeSRWZ Kitamura did the pixel art for Mega Man, and then Inafune had to draw up an actual design for the character that corroborated Kitamura's pixel art. Inafune has always been up front about that though. He has never misled people about the scope of his involvement in the creation of Mega Man and in the development of the early Mega Man titles.
+ChromeColossus Yeah it's generally just the fans who think of it that way, but as you said, he's never mislead people.
kickstater link?
At least he's releasing something!
what is the other music in the video?
All these heights and blocks makes me want to pop out the rush jet.
That was the awesomest display of platforming I have ever seen. It's like watching a master at play.
Anybody know what the very first song is?
Why was Keiji Inafune leaving Capcom?
"It's a tough one!"
...
No.
+Pencil Frog It's tough for him to make games even!
Now if only he could make a *MIGHTY NO.9*
**sobs**
Also according to MAGFEST, Inafune says "18-20 out of 24 master ROMs are complete". I assume presumably the PS Vita and the 3DS versions are the ones having the most trouble with its multiplayer component since it is coded differently and the porting is handled by a separate company.
Where's Mighty No 9?
Two Legends mario and megaman
huh.. this is pretty interesting. Wonder if it'll be playable in the future
Alright so...talking purely about the stage and ignoring Mighty No. 9 drama...this stage looks....pretty boring.
So this is why Mighty no. 9 is getting another delay. Kappa
Well at least it doesn't look like a means of torture.
Now he must make a level in Mega Maker
While he's busy doing this, Mighty No. 9 slips further into delay... Once again, so very happy I never threw money at his kick starter!
Why mighty no. 9 was delayed.
Why all the dislikes?
they forgot to put dead rising(if you did not know he produced and designed the first one a.k.a best game ever)
I only care about dead rising 1(he is okay in my book)
So this is what he did instead of properly developing Mighty No. 9.
Better than 99% levels on Mario Maker
Those levels look easy. I made some levels in the past that are almost comparable to the super mario frustration forever NES hack where you had to abuse/exploit bugs.
Father i remember you
He should be making Mighty Delayed No. 9
it's better than nothing
Nintendo should hire you to make a new Star Tropics.
I'm sorry but the super Mario maker level had to be delayed, I need more funding for a completely different level "keiji imagine
this is a castle but it's not Roy's one
Despite all the hate Inafune is getting for mighty no 9 (not going to say it's completely unjustified) I did like the look of the level. It reminded me of a Megaman 1 stage.
Please give us a Beck and Call and Ray costume
It looks challenging but not unfairly so. The platforming is doable.
Mighty No 9! Where is it? Where is my money?
he made dead rising 1(thank you keji)now I need to make a zombie game
And you gave this con artist 4 MILLION DOLLARS. He doesn't even care about his own fans. His career is done. Con artist, con-cept. He's a massive liar. THIS is why capcom let him go! And Capcom's worse shit.
+Red Bemani No matter how much you polished a turd... in the end it's still a turd.
I'm not even defending this guy. but this comment proves how stupidity remains contagious.
Wonder he got a mansion somewhere in Japan
Whatever they say, to my Keiji Inafune is a genius at the height of Hideo Kojima and Shigeru Miyamoto; without him the legendary saga of Mega Man would not have become possible, should learn to value their legacy.
+ALJustice0 Whatever..!!
Dear Hiei2016
You have to thank Akira kitamura for megaman.
If it wasn't him there will be no megaman.
And yes Keiji inafune is Businessman.
What do you think of him now?
Callumbuddy How every human being makes mistakes , nobody's perfect..!!
AnimeSRWZ Yes I know that but, Inafune perfected the design , Kitamura only made sketches...
he is not megamans father.
