01:54 you can actually have an interior in the hull if you have enough bubble block on the bottom that the hull sits on top of the water instead of a few blocks down. But you might need a lot of bubble block and maybe a gyro to make sure that the ship stays level.
really cool build. only thing i personally dislike is that the sub is deployed below the water instead of on it. also, if it's possible it would probably look pretty good if the door chair could also activate the crane
That is a well designed ship. I wouldn't have thought to put bow thrusters on it. The sub might benefit from additional thrusters if possible so you can control your dive angle a bit more. "Radar" sound was bothering me a bit though. Usually its sonar that makes a sound not radar.
How you were talking about the bubble wrap for buoyancy, i might make solid block that is very buoyant. Also, nothing to say about the ship, moving parts make it way more impressive and if you include sounds then it deserves an Award!

Needs navigation lights, but still super impressive. As a boat person, it just bothers me that you did all the other details, but not the nav lights. :P
I have been on boats for over half of my life and your build is so good. Lots of accurate details and controls. Very cool stuff. I thought the explorer truck was my favorite build but now it's the ship. Great job boss.
they should have a underwater air pocket system for ships and submarines, similar to sea of thieves, if there is a hole in your ship it would fill your ship up with water and you can use the bucket to remove the water

Builds like these just makes us wish SM has more function like comfort power ups from Velhiem. Yeah, we need a radar to give us a minimap hud. Hope they can at least give us that by just making a round dish marker.

@JJW 836412 ah its easy to manage oh and coding yeah... coding is the hard part and you forgot them reactors, and its normal for it to take hours and since i upload some of my creations to the workshop they will be saved and the steam cloud also saves it but the fun is in building all those complicated things and figuring it out on how to fix it (i think there is a mode where you dont have to hook every pipe up and dont need power

bearing lock would make the steering more like a rudder. that way you could cruise while turning and still walk around the ship.

Try the FANT Mod. It has all the parts you need to build a ship and submarine. Works well with the vanilla stuff.
