The problem is and always will be "fans" setting unrealistic expecations based on nothing but what THEY want, and when those expectations aren't met exactly how THEY think they should, they get mad. tldr, the bad side of the KH fandom is full of spoiled brats.

And honestly I’d rather wait for a near perfect game then have an unfinished mess drop and then wait for update patch’s that take forever to download, like Tony hawk pro skater 5. You and Nick did a great job with this video. The problem with fandoms is that their high expectations are sometimes so high it's unrealistic. Not just Kingdom Hearts, but any franchise or media.
It's like that one toy fixer said in Toy Story 2, "You can't rush art". Kingdom Hearts is not an ordinary video series to me. The gameplay and story have become an art to enjoy. I'm really happy how the series has grown. However, I noticed the fandom acting a little more entitled and toxic (not all the fandom, but the really vocal ones). I noticed people becoming more snide towards square when they celebrated KH's anniversary and were expecting info for KH4. It's really telling how gaming expos have to say ahead of time that there are no new info for KH4, only for fans to still expect news and complain. And to be honest, most of the vocal fans are mainly nostalgic for another KH2, which is a rabbit hole I won't get into. I definitely appreciate you making a video like this. I hope the Fandom will go back to appreciating what each KH game has given us throughout the years. Also thanks for giving the non numbered titled some deserved love!

Also partly the huge influx of needing constant entertainment and stimulation. A surprising amount of people are pretty much addicted to that and can't admit it
This is actually sad because it’s so true! My little brother is getting an attitude problem because of his need for entertainment on TikTok and anything else he can’t pay attention to. It’s deeply concerning.
This is very very true, constant need for stimulation is getting more, and I’ve noticed that too if people don’t have constant movies, games, books or something to entertain them they are very unhappy, however I’ve seen when they hate having too much of these things too, so it’s like what can you do? Old KH used to not take long because we had games every year and they used luminous engine and crystal tools . Butttttt kh3 too long because they swapped engines and the original kh3 was lost .

It’s not just one person we are talking about it’s quite a few people doing this anytime a KH game is announced. Also we don’t think the fandom is completely bad, just some that are complaining and over exaggerating and overall need entertainment all the time, and complain about games how long they take, but will also call game developers lazy in the same breath. And to actually add onto the topic at hand, if you're waiting for KH4 for so long... then what the heck else are you doing in that time besides playing KH? That's what I wish people did more of, play something else. your favorite franchise isn't gonna be pumping out games/show episodes/movies every single year consistently, and why not use that downtime to try out something you've never tried before but wanted to? If you're doing nothing but playing that one franchise then you really need to try something new, don't make that one thing your whole personality, try something like Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest if you're a KH fan, if you're a Marvel and/or DC fan then why not look at some other superhero stuff like Ultraman or Kamen Rider? why not try out some indie stuff inspired by one of your favorite franchises? there's so much else you could be trying out that you might like so why not just do that instead of complaining about your favorite taking too long to come out when you probably don't even know how long this stuff takes to make good.

However even tho I play it an awful lot, it’s not all I play, earlier this year as I mentioned a few times on stream, I got into the ratchet and clank series and bought a whole bunch of them for my PS3 and played and beat them all, till I was finally able to play rift apart on my PS5 and I loved it. I’ve also been replaying other games, right now because of Sly on PS4/PS5 I’ve been replaying sly for myself, and I am even now actually giving multiversus another go and actually like it now, but also I’m into so many different games, but it’s getting a little old people saying these things like it’ll take 20 years, but definitely they should check out other things. @@The_KingdomKey Exactly, I've personally not been that interested in much Marvel and DC have been doing lately, I don't hate the stuff their putting out, I just don't care to watch it, so why not see what Japan has in store to get my superhero fix? like I mentioned Ultraman and Kamen Rider, I've been interested because I got a game, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, from one of my new favorite developers, 8ing, and now I'm going down the rabbit hole of tokusatsu heroes. (If you're wondering what Tokusatsu is, it's basically a live action drama or drama-esque show or movie, that makes heavy use of practical effects, I guess the closest thing that isn't from Japan I can compare it to is something like Doctor Who) I'm glad to hear you're actually enjoying Mutiversus now as well, I've been enjoying it as well, despite the issues.

I will say I don't believe kh4 will come out in 2026. Tbh, I'm honestly thinking it's either coming out late this year or sometime next year. Mainly because I will admit I find the 2026 rumor kind of ridiculous.
I don’t believe this year or next as it’d be too soon. As KHML needs to come out first as it will start off and give us important story details to understand Kingdom Hearts IV more, and Nomura has said KHML is very important for KHIV, also the person who did the KHIV 2026 leak lied and got exposed for posing as a Japanese woman when in fact they are a white male. @@SirIsaacFortesque I know this comment of yours isn’t an attack on us, but I’ll be real I never was a mega man fan, but one of my best friends is a mega man fan, and he went on an hour rant about how the mega man fandom is, and how they say it’s dead, and capcom need to bring back Mega Man, or that capcom should stop with other projects and make Mega Man. It’s not just one person we are talking about it’s quite a few people doing this anytime a KH game is announced. Also we don’t think the fandom is completely bad, just some that are complaining and over exaggerating and overall need entertainment all the time, and complain about games how long they take, but will also call game developers lazy in the same breath. And to actually add onto the topic at hand, if you're waiting for KH4 for so long... then what the heck else are you doing in that time besides playing KH? That's what I wish people did more of, play something else. your favorite franchise isn't gonna be pumping out games/show episodes/movies every single year consistently, and why not use that downtime to try out something you've never tried before but wanted to?
If you're doing nothing but playing that one franchise then you really need to try something new, don't make that one thing your whole personality, try something like Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest if you're a KH fan, if you're a Marvel and/or DC fan then why not look at some other superhero stuff like Ultraman or Kamen Rider? why not try out some indie stuff inspired by one of your favorite franchises? there's so much else you could be trying out that you might like so why not just do that instead of complaining about your favorite taking too long to come out when you probably don't even know how long this stuff takes to make good.
@@SirIsaacFortesque 10000% agree! I love KH it’s my all time favourite! However even tho I play it an awful lot, it’s not all I play, earlier this year as I mentioned a few times on stream, I got into the ratchet and clank series and bought a whole bunch of them for my PS3 and played and beat them all, till I was finally able to play rift apart on my PS5 and I loved it. I’ve also been replaying other games, right now because of Sly on PS4/PS5 I’ve been replaying sly for myself, and I am even now actually giving multiversus another go and actually like it now, but also I’m into so many different games, but it’s getting a little old people saying these things like it’ll take 20 years, but definitely they should check out other things. @@The_KingdomKey Exactly, I've personally not been that interested in much Marvel and DC have been doing lately, I don't hate the stuff their putting out, I just don't care to watch it, so why not see what Japan has in store to get my superhero fix? like I mentioned Ultraman and Kamen Rider, I've been interested because I got a game, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, from one of my new favorite developers, 8ing, and now I'm going down the rabbit hole of tokusatsu heroes.
(If you're wondering what Tokusatsu is, it's basically a live action drama or drama-esque show or movie, that makes heavy use of practical effects, I guess the closest thing that isn't from Japan I can compare it to is something like Doctor Who)

@@SirIsaacFortesque To be honest, I do understand that I’ve been only enjoying very few select marvel titles and same with dc, but that’s where I check out games, and movies, and other shows, or try some online gaming with friends and we just roast each other 😂
I will say I don't believe kh4 will come out in 2026. Tbh, I'm honestly thinking it's either coming out late this year or sometime next year. Mainly because I will admit I find the 2026 rumor kind of ridiculous.
I don’t believe this year or next as it’d be too soon. As KHML needs to come out first as it will start off and give us important story details to understand Kingdom Hearts IV more, and Nomura has said KHML is very important for KHIV, also the person who did the KHIV 2026 leak lied and got exposed for posing as a Japanese woman when in fact they are a white male.
