@ as just explained, logically it doesn’t make sense, given the fact they only just announced the delay of the game, it wouldn’t make any sense to come out that early, also there’s no official release for January, so if it’s not from Square Enix or Disney it’s not true, so as they have only announced the delay it isn’t likely it’ll come out in January.

Also, Noct is the darkness (night sky), Sora is the light (regular sky presumed to be during the day where there is light) in him that needs to be realized and embraced... Sora is literally the light in Noct defeating the demons and darkness of Noct 's mind and heart (heartless). The crystal is doing it's job to fashion him into the one true king he needs to be at the end of FFXIV. the worlds are parts of Noct 's brain. The pathways between them with the gummy ship are neutral pathways

This is also why we got art of Sora on the throne in the same exact way as Noct... They are one in the same. Darkness and light version of the one true king. Yin and Yang

I don’t know, personally I don’t think it’d be right or the same without him, and the fact he’s said he’s making KHIV with the intention of completing the series eventually, tells me it’ll be the end soon, not KH IV exactly but maybe a game or two after.
