I mean, if u have to listen to only one person, I'm glad it's jack White! Cuz that means the solo music, the white stripes, dead weather AND raconteurs!
I love both versions, Jack is my favorite punk blues and respects the past blues rock n roll. No one like him! Can't wait for the album!! Great comments from everyone on here.
both great versions, this feels like im in a cowboy saloon bar, and i really like that the other version is heavy and electric and feels very now, so thats amazing how much music can change a whole feeling of a song. the same lyrics. but different music. lovely.
The man is a genius! Can we please give him his flowers while he’s alive. Who else could orchestrate 2 versions of one song like Jack. He’s the very definition of Back to the Future!
I love how the hard version seems to sound so cocky and smug about the other character taking them back, this one seems to sound hopeful and pleading for another chance. Just my two pence
Two very different versions of talent from Jack White himself expressing his craft. Each of us have our preference, but no way can either be called a disappointment. I, myself, prefer the other, because I am more the rock kill me with those guitar riffs Jack! Yet, I can appreciate this as well. ♡ Jack. Never disappoints.
True that. This is great and reminds me of the soundtrack to a western. But the guitar version ROCKS! It's like comparing the Racuetuers to the Dead Weather. IMHO the Dead Weather were the epitome of what hard rock should be.
Wow I like both versions, one makes you want to rock out one makes you want to sit on the porch sipping a beer and watching the sun set down in the mountains what a true artist to be able to make you feel two different ways in there music, amazing
Taking me back to when we knew we weren't perfect but had hope, joy, humor, a sense that we really were within the grasp of true greatness.... we need not, and should not go back, but there are many, many things we could and should remember and pull forward into today... if we want our vision of tomorrow to be possible... doing this is a must.... Jack is just singing the songs of hope for tomorrow... this is not 'gifted', it is 'of things'...
I was just thinking the other day that it's about time we heard some new Jack White. Boarding House Reach was sick, hopefully we get another album soon!
The original was a promotional track for cod and this version seems to be a bonus but yeah we need a new solo album if not a raconteurs album since those are the only two Jack white acts still going
@@MrRAB1992 hard disagree it’s probably not as good as consolers of the lonely and it’s definitely not at good as boarding house reach but it’s pretty damn good especially the stronger songs
Some of the shows I’ve seen have delivered something very much like that. It depends who his backing band is and what the vibe of the show is. But he can absolutely let loose on that song when the mood strikes. Gotta say, the last Racs tour was a real blast. Haven’t had that much fun at a show in a while.
Has anyone called Jack White a genius yet??? Is he even from this planet? I love that someone close to my age can be so insanely cool. Keep on rocking, Jack! 🤘
What can you say, this is an absolutely brilliant composition. Love the interplay of the instruments. Listening with my eyes closed. It's taking me back to a simpler time, to the carefree days of youth. Thank you, Jack.

Fantastic. I like this version best! You can hear his voice better and I LOVE the guitar part. My favorite is the part that starts around 3:37. Jack is always better with fewer frills and distractions in the accompaniment. I've had this on repeat since it was released. Love you so much, Jack!! Really hoping for a tour. ❤❤❤
