Yeah, this whole "religious segment" from Blond Ambition is best understood/appreciated in its entirety (it starts with "Like a Virgin" on the bed and ends with "Papa Don't Preach" - "Like a Prayer," "Live to Tell," and "Oh Father" in the middle). It really tells a story.
Guys, you're missing the whole Madonna experience by cutting off her live performances. Shes always telling a story throughout the different acts of her shows. In this particular case, she sang a medley: Live to Tell with Oh Father. And then they transition into Papa Don't Preach. It all fits perfectly.
They just want views and comments.😅 They don't care 😘
@@hoxtondean9855aren't views and comments the point and goal of every UA-cam channel? And who knows, maybe they'll go back and watch that particular segment from Blond Ambition. Regardless, you can see how the Madonna journey has helped these two develop a growing appreciation for Madonna and her career. ❤️
In all fairness, they wouldn’t know this , unless told prior to filming.😮😊
cant wait till the day you see her perform this at the Celebration tour.
Oh guys, we need whole performance of Live to tell/Oh father
All performances of live to tell in each diferent tour is amazing, the song is so cinematic and haunting,so beautiful e meaning
In later tours, Madonna plays guitar...especially her performance of "Burning Up" in her most recent tour, she really goes into it on the guitar, so it shows her progression throughout her tours and upping her game for sure with it!
She can also play drums and a bit of piano but she admits she’s not as confident with those instruments and she doesn’t perform them on stage
Thanks!! It transitions into Oh Father. Not sure why anyone would clip this as one “song”. It goes with Oh Father. Sorry!!!
This song is so iconic, Madonna 👑
This is chopped from the best Blond Ambition segment Like a Virgin/Like a Prayer/Live to Tell/oh Father/Papa Don’t Preach- best live performance segment EVER
MADONNA IS THE QUEEN OF POP ❤
LIKE YOUR REACTION, LOVE YOU❤❤
The complete section would be Live to tell / Oh father. Blond Ambition Tour is so iconic!
You want to see Madonna play an instrument watch her performance of I love New York from the confessions tour. She plays the guitar amazing.
I agree with some of the other comments... The impact of the performance is far greater when watched in context of the full segment. The song as a stand alone performance is still stunning, but the complete emotional arc is even better. Regardless, thank you for all of your efforts. Appreciate you both!
❤❤❤❤❤
Madonna has always played the guitar from her band days, she started playing [it] again in her later concert
Hi guys! That Tour is spectacular from start to finish. They should react to all the songs!
This segment started with Like a Prayer and you’re right they all float into next trac. I like how you both see things for the first time and catch it right away. Madonna is a amazing performer. She captivates people and they don’t take their eyes off of her. Thank you both.
Act II of the Blond Ambition show begins with “Like A Virgin”
She does actually play guitar quite a bit in her tours from 2001 onwards - try ‘You Must Love Me’ from Sticky and Sweet tour or ‘Secret’ from Drowned World Tour 😎
Thanks, Marissa! Thanks, Tyler! ㊙
With Madonna tours, she's usually telling a story or taking us on a journey. Some of these stories and journeys spill into the next song performed. This is why it's hard to appreciate, grasp or understand what is happening when watching it out of order and not the full act of the show. Most definitely, LAP, Live To Tell, Oh Father and Papa Don't Preach have a running religious theme and the songs all flow into one another. It's easier to appreciate and understand what she's doing if you just sit through the full act or even show to experience the journey she's taking us on. But of course, as you pointed out, you'd be reacting for an hour or two if you did so. But you might consider reacting to her tours by her ACTS/themes. Most of her tours have around five acts with one major theme running through them.
These guys do the most random madonna reactions.
You are a cute couple. You give good vibes. Best wishes from Sweden!
Catch her "Live to Tell" performance from her latest tour; a haunting tribute to many AIDS victims, many of the her personal friends. Not sure if it is available in its entirety, but the clips are sobering.
I think this was from her Barcelona concert. It was crazy hot there when she performed at the Olympic Stadium. I believe she had better vocals on her other stops on that tour, like Nice or Paris. However a great atmosphere and a powerful performance.
Howdy. Been loving all the reactions as of late. Watched your reactions to ELO's TIME album, however there is one track that I think you will find to be one of their greatest. Like "When Time Stood Still", it didn't make it into the album, but was a bonus track on their TIME CD. The song is called "Julie Don't Live Here", and I truly believe that you will really enjoy it.
I miss you guys! Hope all is well.
You should start from like a virgin then like a prayer, live to tell, oh father, papa don't preach to know the whole story.
amazin
Barcelona and Nice France .. 😬😬
The performance on the cross you're thinking of was "Live to Tell" from the Confessions Tour, though. There was no cross for "Like a Prayer" on this tour. 😉
Oh, and I'd still HIGHLY recommend "Music" (or "Music Inferno") from the Confessions Tour.
Check out the music video for this song based on the movie AT CLOSE RANGE ,
Uhm here some videos that you can react to: JUMP, SORRY, WHAT IT FEELS LIKE FOR A GIRL, HOLLYWOOD, fan favs ❤️🔥🙏🏼 I mean music videos, not live performances, thank you guys we love your reactions so much
I love your reactions as you are both so brand new! (Not a diss)
I do feel perhaps you’d benefit greatly with someone who can guide you to watch Madonna content correctly.
Examples being the Confessions entire album that is one complete ‘DJ set’ with no separation of tracks - you miss the entire idea of the album reacting to only Future Lovers previously.
In this particular video you’d have watched the full Live To Tell/Oh Father set rather than the abrupt ending 😔
I think You’d both appreciate and understand it better.
Hope you take that into good consideration ♥️
Greetings from Vancouver 🇨🇦
I agree with most of what you said, but Madonna does play guitar on almost all of her tours. She started out playing drums, then learned piano and guitar. That was before she started singing.
You should watch her Live to Tell from her Confessions tour or her recent tour. Madonna definitely knows how to emote a feeling unlike any other.
But, yeah but ,Madonna was a drummer and she does play the guitar.
The raw emotions and unstoppable desire to be n artist/movie star, going up against the odds...
Madonna plays guitar and drums
She was having major throat problems during part of this tour. Still a good performance but she’s done this song better on Confessions and her current Celebration tour
I think it was more down to the fact it was nearly the end of the tour also where sh'ed already performed over 50 times. No ones voice is going to sound the same from the beginning of a tour and at the end. so it's completely acceptable.
Please react to music from drowned world tour, causing a commotion from who’s that girl tour, everybody from the girlie show and into the groove from the sticky and sweet tour. You should also watch like a Virgin from the blond ambition tour. There are so many great live performances of her, she’s one of the best performers in history.
Are you purposely dropping frames? You’d be better off making it more opaque and using full frame rate. Also, yeah, this 100% needs to be paired with Oh Father.
Tell Merissa that she is making her own channel on UA-cam with Swedish music and especially commenting on ABBA.
Alone
You cant seperate this segment:
Like a prayer
Live to tell
Oh father
Papa don’t preach
Just like in drowned worlds asian themed segment:
Frozen
Nobody’s perfect
Mer girl pt1
Sky fits heaven
Mer girl pt2
👍👍
React to Madonna Gambler LIVE from the virgin tour!
React to Madonna performance of gangbang from the mdna tour it is crazy. More like a play than a concert
Where are you indeed? Hope you are ok
We're just taking a break! Both of us have super busy schedules.
Can you react to Pet Shop Boys Love Comes Quickly
React to Yes, And ? By Ariana Grande !! It's fire!
You 2 are great but Madonna does play instruments. She plays guitar live in concert Drownd World Tour, and every tour since. She started out in music as a drummer. Just saying. Thanks for another great Queen of Pop Review. Also FYI not sure if you have ever reviewed Madonna “ This use to be my playground “ a beautiful balled and theme song for the movie A League of their own with Tom Hanks, Madonna, Rosie O’Donnell and Gena Davis. Anyway she recorded the song with a full orchestra. While recording she stopped and said one of the violin’s was sounding sharp. She had each one play a C note ( I could be wrong on the note) until they found the out of tune instrument. Madonna is so much more than big spectacular production and precise dance moves. She is a brilliant musician / artist.
hello why don't you do a whole concert divided into 3-4 parts
She was having big throat problems at this time of the tour.. her singing voice was NOT all there
?????????? Where are you????
We're ok -- we're just taking a break!
quadeca just dropped a new album bro check it out
The truth of dare version is better
Oh no!!! "Oh Father'" completes the story. You have to be careful because many of the live performances of her songs flow together to tell a story and when they're brutally chopped off like that, it just kind of kills the whole vibe. 😕☹️
You really not to watch the segmant, its natrative
