Very interesting to hear an American view on the Mazda Bongo. A new perspective for me. I'm a Mazda Bongo owner in the UK. I have the diesel 4WD, which I chose for the winter weather and for dealing with muddy fields when camping. I also have the electric poptop roof. I'm still adjusting to driving it after being used to 'normal' small cars. I prefer manual to automatic so for me the automatic gearbox is not really a plus, but I'm getting used to it. I'm hoping to go on fun adventures in my Bongo!
very nice. 4wd diesel would be nice, but I like the simplicity of the gas 2wd model. You can idle a gas motor in a campground without smell, unlike a diesel. Please avoid muddy fields at all costs even with 4wd, you'll get stuck bad in mud.
Really the two wheel drive 2.0 gas or diesel will return good MPG. Their also solid engines. At the other end of the scale the permanent 4x4 diesel 2.5 v6 would be the worst. Typically around 22 - 25 to the gallon. The reason it’s worse than the gas is because the gas models were not 4x4 they were either AWD or 2WD.

looking to get one of these for a roadtrip with friends, wondering which would have better fuel economy, petrol or diesel?
probably diesel. the gas 4-cylinder isn't bad though.

I drive this van and its really good!
And why is the wheel on the right side not the left
its from Japan. some parts of the world are different.
@@gregs_garageit's cool that we have some thing from Japan in america
Because jdm is the best in the world
It looks shaky
the camera mount shakes. I have yet to find a mount that keeps a phone steady. Maybe a GoPro would be lighter and better for this type of video.
