Majority of things we buy are made from china: They weren’t complaining before because they(Western countries) had brand name or they were the middle guy in most cases. But this EV industry is brand new and Chinese brands are better in every aspect of it. Be it battery life or technology wise. So now that they losing this battle, they wanna smear the Chinese brands but can’t prove it 🤣. If human labour is the issues, so is all the brand names: iPhone,Dior etc. they all made in china 🤣🤣. As a consumer, I wanna buy cheap staff and that lasts long. (Walmart) that’s why they biggest retailers in the world.
Whilst China were busy developing EVs western legacy auto were putting their energy into the futile attempt to stop the transaction. China's EV manufacturing infrastructure is now quite mature and increasingly efficient. It's probably the Kodak moment for much of legacy western auto.
Went to a show room not too long ago, they were promoting Wuling, a Chinese car brand. Opened the front door and the door handle almost came off. Makes one wonder about the build quality of more complex parts. European cars are not without their problems but build quality has always been and still is a problem with Chinese machinery. Be it cars or industrial machines. A friend owns and runs a large chemical plant in an Asian country. He told me that when considering buying the complex machines he needs, he rather buys European at two or three times the price as they last 5 times longer and dont break down all the time. I will not say all Chinese stuff is crap but they have a long way to be competitive on quality.

@@charlesnone4628But ford does build and sell thier car in China.Just let BYD sell its in the US.Ford used to have decent sell records,but its selling keeps dropping since Chinese cars are rising up.Same things happen to other car makers from Germany and Japan.
