This is a lie. I know a number of EV owners in Europe and non of them considers ever returning to ICE car. Once you try it there is no turning back.

An EV is still considerable more expensive than an ICE vehicle, that's the sole reason. Despite that difference, my next car will definitely be an EV, most probably a second hand one.

If the government is willing to give you a tax break to buy something, it is probably something not very popular and/or good. its simple, the answer is lies cannot come true forever. EV is a scam, it cannot reduce emissions and on the contrary create more emissions in burning more fuel generating the electricity and through a lot of losses charging the battery and then converting the energy back to motor energy. Burning the fuel directly in an ICE car is most efficient. Secondly the battery itself is a great toxic to the planet earth.

Go buy an electric car, not only is it worse for the environment, its a major headache and they are a disposible vehicle, no different than your cellphone, once the battery begins to die, the replacement cost is twice what the vehicle is worth. You cannot sell them, dealers wont touch used ev's. Oh and did i mention the makers are selling all your data to your insurance company, everytime you speed, dont look at the road, lane assist has to activate etc. they are building a case to raise your insurance and take away your ability to drive by 2035..😂 wake up people.. (hence why as of 2025 all electric cars are equipped with a kill switch that the govt can say "sorry grid is in high demand, no charging." And your car will become a brick.. ENJOY ELECTRIC CAR OWNERSHIP SUCKERS.

imo, BMW was on track for the direction cars should go. More of a hybrid-full electric approach, instead of fully electric. The BMW i3 for example is what I'm implying. The i3 was a "ELECTRIC" car that has a small 'generator' gas motor that extends the range, and can charge the battery at low speeds and when stopped. The same for semi trucks, they should be looking at hybrid solutions, instead of pushing fully electric. For commutes under 100 miles, a fully electric car can be practical. For longer drives, a hybrid or ICE vehicles will still be necessary for the time being. Except for the ones willing to deal with charging situation currently. My biggest barrier is cost. I will still keep my old ice car, but the cost of a new EV is crazy, and the unknowns of buying a used EV, in terms of wear and tear, battery degradation, maintenance or lack of because people think they're a maintenance free vehicle, are a turn-off of buying used ones. Also, people who drive them *beat the crap out of them* because they're so "sporty and quick/fun to drive". last point, if I bought a EV today, will that battery pack, or other components, still be supported in 10+ years for reasonable prices?? The older Prius and chevy volt come to mind. Their official support was dropped and yet you could still buy a new volt in the last few years.

It seems to me that the entire process of integrating EV’s was done backwards. By that, I mean the infrastructure needed to be further along, with plentiful charging stations and better maintenance of those stations. The cars themselves need better power sources, from a variety of methods. Hydrogen gas, and smaller batteries with better range. These cars are in their infancy currently, and need further development before I buy one, and for the general public is sold on them. In essence, they’re a work in progress, not yet fully ready for prime time.

An EV catching fire can burn extremely violently ... I have seen 2 electric cars burning , one of them had almost 20 meters tall flames .... It was pure nightmare to watch Also I think about a month ago an electric Renault Zoe exploded in France while being parked and destroyed the owners' appartment building too ... He and his neighbours woke up homeless.....However, I have never seen a petrol car catch fire until now....

Imagine having your baby strapped in it's safety seat in the back of your car stopped in traffic when the Tesla next to you fails and a 4000 degree blow torch comes out of it's side and instantly cooks your child?

Measure the temp perpetually and once it hits a certain temp A warning hits the driver and if it continues to go up the Power from the batteries should be sent to a large capacitor which then would release the voltage rapidly to keep a fire from occurring. The car would be inoperable until the issue is resolved. Enjoy your rides Mr & Mrs Beta drivers - They did not address this because the market isn't demanding it yet.

Wrong, Hybrids, not EVs are prone to fires. Pure EV fires are extremely rare, about 50 times less likely that an ICE car fire and 100 times less likely than a Hybrid fire.
