Thanks for your excellent video, it gave me the confidence to tackle the clutch on our C1. Everything went fine apart from the three bolts at the front of the bell housing..... the top one was seized solid and even after using penetrating fluid, still refused to budge. In the end I managed to get on it with a breaker bar with a length of pipe on and it snapped. Fortunately it was the head and unthreaded shank that came out so I left the threaded stub in there to act as an extra locating stud. The reassembling went fine but it too two of us and a trolley jack to lift the box back in, I also removed the mounting bracket off the end of the box to give me more room. Once again, huge thanks! Keep up the good work.
Excellent tuto pour le remplacement de l'embrayage d'un C1. Très bien filmé, très méthodique et tous les points délicats sont minutieusement décrit par les images. Merci beaucoup. Thomas
just done my daughters - around 6 hours just plodding on - hardest part is getting G/box back up and in -the box is bigger than the engine 😂the bottom mount 19mm my god they were tighter than me lol used a breaker bar and a length of scaff pipe cheers for the videos they helped a lot (oh i took the battery tray out just to get more room etc
Just about to do my C1 Clutch and watched this and the 107 video you made... both have you doing it in the rain! Top graft mate... also nice camera work (from a camera operator)
@@WMCS hey man, I shoot live news, commercials, film and promotions (I only shoot opposed to editing)... latest works is Rudimental Come Over (the live performance)... what are you using for your works, GoPro/SLR and/or your phone?
I think they were mass produced during WW2 the manufacturers still trying to shift them...😂😂... I look away after fitting new ones in case it falls apart
I always check this channel out when given a clutch to do at work on an unfamiliar (to me) make and model of car. It makes life so much easier. Why the red grease on every bolt hole on mating surface of the gearbox, though Kevin? I do grease input shaft and dowels. Is there a specific reason, or is it just the way you do it? Cheers
Come al solito, ti faccio i complimenti per il lavoro. Come secondo equipaggiamento, con quale marca di frizione ti trovi bene? Ho anch'io una Aygo seconda serie. Grazie
Great video. Everything covered really well. Ever thought about adding audio? Mines just gone, same year. Normally I’d tackle most jobs but that job requires tools I haven got. What would be the cost of a new clutch installed. I know it’s a kinda geographical cost, I’m in Northeast. Thanks for the insight to my next bill.
Seems like a lot of hard work for a little clutch. You can do these by undoing bell housing bolt. gearbox mount and leaver the gear box back. in half the time. Peugeot and Citroen..
You do an amazing job fella! I enjoy watching your videos. Your methodical manner and tidiness is respected. Whats the most difficult clutch youve had to do?

My customer's C1 has developed a juddering clutch, so I shall be tackling this job tomorrow.
Which brand did you fit, boyo?

Ever had a box refuse to come off? Everything on this particular c1 is seized up so im not surprised just wondered if you had any tips?

Are these also the same steps for an 2011 c1? Thanks a lot☺️🙏
Exactly the same
@@WMCS thank you 👍☺️

this particular model roughly 400..
sometimes speaking things into words leads a lot to misinterpretation
Hello , did you remove the 30mm nut so you can be able to remove the axle from transmission? I tried to remove this axle but ots not coming out
What is the liquid you always drain at beginning?
Fuheezium That's the gear oil. He drains it so it doesn't run all over him while removing and installing. He refills at the end with fresh fluid

... I don’t do them anymore 😆

Great video. One question though, where did you get the long solid metal bar you use for the bottom ball joint?

I got it from my local engineering shop. I had it measured and cut. It’s solid stainless steel bar. Weighs a lot. But does the job.
Dddd Cccc thank you but they flex too much for my liking
Kevin-Albert Williams thanks for that is it 4 or 5ft?
Excelent my friend thanks
What grease are you using on the gearbox splines & release bearing fork?... is it Red Rubber grease?
That’s correct red rubber grease.
good, what cleaning liquid do you use?
It’s brake cleaner. But any similar solvent does the job just as good.
bonjour vous faite pas des mercedese ?
Greetings, I am your friend from Chile. Are you an admirer of Chinese edd ?. I see with amazement how organized you are. your work is very complex

Hi Kevin haven't seen you use your lift l8ly was just wondering why ? .. Stay safe 😷 tgc Gazza
Hey Gazza... thanks as always for the input. I use the lift only for RWD vehicles.
Otherwise I use axle stands.

Is the semi automatic 107 using the same clutch as the manual one?
Clutch is slightly different. The splines are bigger.
@@WMCS is the process of replacing the same tho?
Thank you so much 🙏
