Usually I would be knitting while watching your podcast but today I am sitting in the hospital with my very sick adult son. It’s been a stressful time while he awaits heart surgery. I needed to hear your soothing voice and the beautiful instrumental music 🎶 so I tuned in for a nice reprieve from the worrying and heartbreak 💔 🙏🏻THANK YOU😔
At long last, the next episode with knitting friend. Your voice is SO relaxing and I would enjoy listening to you read the phone book. It's a bonus that you are always full of great stories and chat. ❤😊
Thank you Christopher it’s always such a pleasure to watch you 🤗 and the Cameo wrap you are knitting looks so beautiful 🤩 I just started knitting a vest for my Dad ☺️ I have never knitted a garment for someone else, 🫣 but he asked me and he is such a knitworthy person and a wonderful Dad ☺️.
I am so excited about the spinning journey! That is exactly how my brain works and I am so intimidated by all there is to undertake to learn to spin. Thank you for letting us learn alongside you!
Your Spin Class sounds great for anyone curious about spinning. I think people tend to only post skills after they’ve gotten proficient, which can be intimidating for folks who are new to the craft. Really enjoyed sitting at the table while I worked on the I-cord bind off of my Westknits Radiate Shawl. I’ve used a Neighborhood Fiber Co jewel tone rainbow set so it’s a subtle rainbow. 😊
True story I haven’t even watched this new episode yet because I save each new episode for a quiet morning at home when I can relax and be uninterrupted. ❤❤❤
I’m knitting the Tiptoe Through the Tulips socks in the OG colors from the book! The yarn is gorgeous, almost worth the ridiculously high price I paid between international shipping and import fees :.) thank you for making these videos, they soothe me like nothing else ❤
Just to play it safe, don't put out any seeds/flowers until you're well enough into spring that the last chance of frost has passed. You want to be sure the ground is warm enough to allow your seeds to sprout. Wishing you all the best!
Thank you for another wonderful soulful and inspirational podcast 🙏🧶🙏you are so calming and it’s wonderful to see you at your table giving the yarn and pattern the respect it so deserves 🙏💥🧶🧶🧶❣️
I cast on a Chuck, it's On sweater by The Woolly Badger and it was so nice to have your company. I have The Semper Slipover in my knit next list ❤ have a beautiful day x
OMW!! You are knitting the same pattern as I am. You are much further than I am. It's so much fun to see!! I'm making mine in a malabrigo Rios. Love the pattern. I do a row a day during my morning prayer time. My daughter gave me the yarn. So, I pray for her as I knit this.
It’s been a good Saturday so far - a cold dip in a local reservoir followed by coffee with my friend, now some knitting time with virtual friends - lovely! 😊 I’m knitting ALL the warmer weather things: cotton-linen tees and light and airy jumpers in bright, fresh colours. I was suddenly so over winter and grey, damp days that all my plans went out the window, the winter wip’s were packed up, and light, colourful things were cast on with wild abandon. And I’m not regretting a thing! 😆
We are BIG Studio Ghibli fans in this house. When Howl showed up, she made such a racket... constant yelling for minutes on end. With her dark coat, sullen disposition, and propensity to complain.... Howl was really the only appropriate name for her. Hahaha
So pleased to find another podcast from you. I am working on the Gerste socks from the first volume of 52 Weeks of Socks. I've had the book for years now but this is the first time I have made a pattern from it. The first sock is coming along just fine.
Perfect timing. I get to spend a nice quiet Monday morning doing a bit of knitting and chilling with you guys here at the table. An excellent way to spend a morning. I am working away at several different projects, but my main one at the moment is just your basic knitted shawl from several single balls of fingering or sport weight I have lying around, plus some saved-up yarn ends. Nothing fancy, but I've got shawl fever right now, and it helps eat up my ever-increasing yarn stash.
Thank you so much for a wonderful episode! The world needs more of this calm and friendly atmosphere 💕. I can truly recommend the ”glaciär väst” by the westrand sisters in sweden. I have knitted two - one for me and one for my hubbie ❤️
What an INTERESTING vest pattern! I dunno if this one is for me because I have a huge issue with things touching my neck... maybe with a little adjustment it would work?
Dear Christopher, thank you so much for this relaxing episode after a stressful day today. I'm currently working on 3 different Veronika Lindberg designs. I just love her patterns! I started a Stripe Hype Sweater, a second Sailor Swift Top and finally the Salty Days Sweater which I kept an eye on for months! Thank you for encourage me to give it a go and learning new techniques. I wish you a lovely time learning spinning and I can't wait to see your progress along this journey! Much love from Germany ❤
Oh, these are LOVELY patterns! I can see why you have them all on your needles at once. Thanks a mil for the well-wishes! It's going really, really well so far. And what I mean is that I've not rage quit or threatened any inanimate objects on my journey hahaha
I am a crocheter and I am working on a design from out of my head. It was going to be a scarf that decided to turn it into a boat neck tank top. We will see how it turns out.
I have been dressing and sleying my loom. All threads get assigned a reed spot and then an eyelet attached to a harness. I have an 8 harness loom. It's meditative and tedious. It helps having calm voice and music while doing this. Enjoy your music and craft enthusiasm! 😊
Sitting in my hotel room knitting on my first Musselburgh (and wondering why everyone pronounces it “musselboro”) hat. At home on my needles is my first vest! The Peninsular by Ailbiona McLaughlan. Christopher you might like the sweater version of it! I’m not sure I have her last name right. Nice to sit and knit with your company! Always love glimpses of beautiful Howl!
Thank you for this podcast. It was a great birthday gift. Some relaxing knitting time with just You, Me, My birthday cast on and all of the knittingfriends at the Table. Just what I needed. The birthday cast on that I knit on is a dress called Vester skovvej kjole by a danish small designer called Garnkøbing
Lovely break to knit with you 💚 I’ve been knitting a sock with you today. Just vanilla with contrast toes, heels and cuff. Was working on the slip stitch heel while sitting at the table with you today. Thank you. You have a very soothing voice. 💚
Can I just say how much I loved this episode. It felt like I was just hanging out with one of my dearest friends and knitting away. Sooo relaxing and comforting. Your voice and the background music just soothes my soul. I have the perfect vest pattern so I would be completely on board for a vest knit along.
This was so incredibly kind to read - thank you for all of the warm words and for taking a seat with me! Yay for the vest!! More vests in the world. We're gonna make it happen. ❤️😊💕
Also I absolutely love knitting with you, this relaxes me so much more than just knitting and watching some tv show. Don't get me wrong i love to bench watch some shows and knit, but this actually feels so relaxing compares to that ❤
I tend to knit socks all spring and summer, but this summer I've got a few James Watts lace projects lined up: some lace tees and tank tops. Thank you for your kind and gentle company this sunny Easter morn.
Oh my goodness your Cameo is absolutely gorgeous! The pattern, stitches and yarn are coming together to become an work in progress masterpiece. Bravo you!
Thanks for another crafty time, Christopher ❤ I finished the sewn bind-off on the Copper Penny cardigan that I'm testing for Our Yarny World Designs while sitting at your table today.
Yes for the 'Year of vest' 😍 I already have a vest planned and the yarn is currently on its way. I work an office job and wear a lot of shirts which are way too thin for spring/autumn. Wearing my sweaters with them just makes me too hot so a vest is a perfect solution. I'll try to go for 'librarian chic' with my first self-drafted pattern. 😊
Good morning Christopher. I am so much looking forward to your approach to the breed study, i took part in a small one done once by a not-so-local, but at least in the same country, crafter and loved it. The 'F&P sheep' got me laughing so loud - i hope it makes a reappearance in spin class 🐑
Working on a Kallara Shawl by Ambah O'Brien with Lily and Pine yarns. I saw the video come up a few days ago and am so happy to have a moment tonight to watch, listen and knit. Your Cameo is beautiful. I happen to agree that Garnet is a neutral 🙂
Christopher, exciting to work on my knitting alongside you! I'm working on Wool and Honey by Andrea Mowry, almost to splitting for the sleeves! I bet I'll have sleeves by the time we're done together. Cheers 😊
I’m knitting a pair of socks with an afterthought heel from Summer Lee’s fantastic new book. Tomorrow will be a quilting day and I’m going to watch again as I quilt. I don’t want to spin, but I might watch just for the information.
Loooooove that book! And Summer. She's such a gem. And please, feel free to watch just to learn more about the fiber! I am fairly certain that every breed I'll be spinning can be bought as spun yarn. You might find something new to work with!
Joy, joy, joy! This is what you bring to my world! After a rough week with Month End I saw this drop yesterday and was so excited! I knew I would be knitting with friends! Love your shawl!!! And the color!!! I am in a place where I have the perfect project with the perfect yarn right now! And for sweaters . . .a sweater I found yesterday stopped me in my tracks and stopped my heart! So, so excited! But wait, the pattern isn’t ready yet!!! But so excited as I will be knitting a sweater this summer!
@@FlannelandPurls I found out it won’t be released until June! The sweater is called The Lure of the Sea! It will be my first ever colorwork sweater! I wouldn’t probably do it for anyone else but my dear husband had a stroke almost two years ago now and it has changed our life! So many blessings but it’s very different now. One of his favorite things are Lighthouses and this sweater has Lighthouses all around the top! Excited to make it! Now to move all my other projects around!
Oh my god I haven't picked up my needles since March. I've been caught up with exams, and now I'm done! I casted on the triceratops pattern from Claire Garland and I am SO ready to get back into things
Hi Christopher - love your At the Table episodes, I always save them for when I know I will have a good amount of time to sit and knit with you with no interruptions. About your plants ..... check your frost free date for your area. I'm in Toronto, Ontario and our frost free date is middle of May only. Can I suggest that you start your seedlings inside and then put them out once your frost free date has happened. I'm looking forward to watching your dye garden grow. I plant marigolds every year in amongst my tomato plants ..... the marigolds protect the tomatoes from a number of pests.
My second try to watch this episode. First time I got interupted - and was knitting on a Lærke Bagger design - Family Sweater that I finished in the mean time. Now on my second try kitting on my 4th Ranunculus and savoring some quiet time this monday morning.
I am so excited for another episode. I actually squealed a little when I saw the announcement that this episode would be dropping today. :) I finished all of my gifts knits for the year earlier this week (my own version of a coping skill in a year that has already been more trying than I would have hoped for), and have cast on an "on the C train" hat to further practice my Norwegian purling skills. Have a great weekend!
This episode came to the perfect time for me! Had a really hard week at work and this has been perfect to unwind and fill my cup today. I'm working on a Halftone Pullover by Kim of Indigo Knits. The pattern calls for two colors but I'm only using one in this version. Made my original one during the test knit and LOVE it. Very excited for this onetone halftone to be ready for wearing.
friend, this is such a lovely video. you are so welcoming and kind, i feel so much better from watching this. also, it is so amazing to see more masculine presenting people in the community- i can't help but feel so strange and alienated when i am the only person in my area who looks like a man that knits, and when so many knitting/crafting podcasters i see are femme. you and others like you that share your craft make me feel much less alone. thank you for your peace, and for sharing your piece of the world.
First and foremost: thank you for these kind words! It's wonderful to have you here at the table with us 😊Secondly: I absolutely understand how alienating it can be and I'm sorry you're in this boat. THAT SAID, you have a place here any time you need it!
Dearest Christopher. Thank you for your kind company while I spend my Saturday early morning quiet time finishing up a pair of All of Them Witches socks for my still sleeping college kid who came home late last night for the weekend (with all of the laundry of course). My heart AND house are full today and you brought some extra peace and joy to my life today. ❤️
I love ALL of your videos! Thank you for your time and energy! I was working on a 3x2 ribbed sock, and was able to get my heel turn and gusset decreases done during this video! Thank you again! ❣️
Oh, thank YOU for being here at the table with me! ❤️😊💕 I'm glad you were able to get your heel turn done - I just finished one of my own last night! A good ole shadow wrap heel for the win!
I'm just getting around to watching this now. Better late than never 🥰 I am working on the Friday Slipover by petitknit using Explorer Knits NSW To The Stars Who Listen ❤
Hello, fellow Midwesterner! I am in Iowa and our weather has been the craziest but know that your part of Illinois has been much worse. Your seeds may still do something after things warm up. Don’t lose hope.
Christopher? I was thinking about what you were saying about how challenging it can be begin a new craft (i.e. spinning). I think you should read The Wishing of Biddy Malone. It's a delightful children's book (I used to read it to my kids when they were small) about a girl named Biddy and what she learns from the fairies. The line that came to mind was, "that which comes for nothing has no value." There are tons of available resources out there to help people begin anything new, if anything the wealth of information can be a bit daunting. But maybe the work that we put into acquiring that knowledge is what gives our knowledge and skills value to us? After all, crafting isn't just about the finished product, it's about the journey we take toward that finished product and what we learn along the way. Just some thoughts as you embark on your own journey. I hope you have as much fun with it as I have.
YES!!! A vest make a long!!! I have had the perfect vest yarn for a year and have not found the perfect pattern yet. I will buckle down and make a decision in anticipation! Your wrap is beautiful. I added it to the list of future projects. Great to see you again. Have a crafty weekend!
Knitting the second of a plain vanilla sox pair. But the yarn makes it anything but plain. A Woolens and Nosh stripe that is fantastical. Of course I can’t find the tag with the colorway on it…. Anyway - yes to the vest a long. I am terrible. TERRIBLE at finishing sweaters (sleeves are boring, it’s not going to fit right, etc.etc.). So a vest seems like a perfect solution. Let’s do this! ❤
Hi from Central Texas, Christopher! I’m working on another Sophie Scarf from PetiteKnit in a cotton yarn. They’re great little neck covers for our crazy hot summers here. Thanks for sharing your table - have a lovely weekend ❤
You always have such interesting thoughts and comments. And Garnet is definitely a neutral - not quite a red, not quite a brown but some glorious space in the middle. IA breed specific spin experience sounds very intriguing. It makes my little data loving heart go pitta pat. I'm going to recommend it to my fiber friends so they can enjoy your thoughts and findings, too. It's so much fun to learn what you can about various extensions of our craft or interest. While I'm not a spinner, I used to raise sheep. We raised Suffolk and Hampshires. The Hampshires were fun and very wooly. I'm not sure where you could get their wool from, though. I love the idea of a vest KAL. Getting stuck on Sleeve Island is the worst thing EVER! Not having sleeves eliminates that problem.
I'm so envious of your former sheep-growing experience!! Suffolks and Hampshires are both Downs, I believe... And I'm fairly certain I have both in my stash right now! I know for SURE I have Suffolk... I'll have to check on the Hampshire...
❤ So enjoyed the podcast! I was one of the persons who commented on your long ago post about doing a UA-cam Channel and I said “do the tube” as I had a gut feeling you would be great at it. You craft your episodes very, very well. I just picked out a vest pattern to make! And a cardigan pattern! Right now I am working on my second Assigned Pooling project - Glide shawl. I also just cast on another shawl called Wildflower - this pattern is designed for highly speckled yarns and I just happened to have picked some gorgeous yarn up from my LYS first birthday party. It is looking spectacular in so many ways and is a definite keeper I will knit more than once. I have had a couple situations recently where I have purchased a pattern and did not enjoy knitting it at all, frogged the project and moved on, another day - another time for those patterns. It is all a part of the process. I am really looking forward to your Spin Vlog. I seem to be addicted to learning new crafting in my semi retirement hours. In April I am taking a beginner sock knitting class series at my LYS. All the best, Joyce
Hi, Joyce! Well, first of all: thank you for the lil nudge and all the support you've given me along the way! Your projects all sound fantastic and I'm so glad you'll be joining in on both the Year of the Vest and Year of the Cardigan!! ❤️😊💕
Hi Christopher! I recently started Savin by Meghan Babin for my son-in-law. I’m not a monogamous knitter. There are loads more. Witch Hazel by Pam Allen, Bee’s Knees by Thea Coleman, and many others! I’m currently working on a plain cardigan for my mother-in-law! Lovely to see you!
I have been scratching an itch recently for knitting cute plushies. I just finished a little bunny, and now I am working on the Emotional Support Chicken by Annette Corsino on Ravelry. Making knitted plushies is a great way to accomplish some quick stash busting, especially if you don't have enough of a type of yarn for a bigger project or you have many little remnants.
Hey Christopher! I see a couple missing! I would definitely consider adding Polypay and Montadale. They are both some of my favorites. Great sources in Illinois, too. Leaf Livestock (polypay) and Frivolous Ewe (Montadale) are both Illinois shepherds.
It's been a while since I've even touched the needles, and all my UFOs continue to languish... But I'm considering a gentle re-entry with a beanie, using the 10,000 Knitted Hats book by Jo Allport
You know what? We all need breaks. For real. No joke, we all need to take breaks. Don't tell my wheel, but that's why I wanted to take up spinning. You can only look at your needles for so long....
Hey Christopher! You are such a joy and delight. Thank you for sharing your space with us💙 Here are my plain ol' vanilla socks I'm working on (I love knitting socks!) along with some handspun shetland wool I'm knitting into the "Deepest Winter Shawl" by Ashley Beals.
Oh, no! I don't think there is hahaha but I can use my imagination! I loooooove Shetland. I spun a secret braid of 100% Shetland a bit ago that I've not shared and I have to be honest.... I think it was my absolute favorite spin to date.
Happy Friday Christopher. Thank you so much for having me at your table. It’s always nice to sit with you and knit. I am currently knitting Maxim Cyr’s Single Malt for my husband. I love it! I’m in for the spinning. I am considering myself a beginner, even though I have been spinning for a little bit not an expert at all, but I can’t wait to join you in your journey of spinning.😊
Thank you Christopher for being the most delightful company while I sewed my second Peppermint Pocket Skirt! I'm sitting at my kitchen table with views of yellow daffodils and soft apricot tulips here in Virginia. Spring is coming! I cannot wait for your spinning breed study! As a fairly new spinner myself, I'm grateful for the camaraderie of other humans learning to do new things!
I took a stranded colorwork class at my LYS Knit Dallas, the pattern was the Stoneham Poncho by Espace Tricot. I just finished the color work and now I'm on the plain stockinette then I need to do a split hem for the first time.
Your Spinners Journey sounds like fun (and huge) project. I love trying different breeds. I’m terrible at keeping track. Long way homestead has an affordable monthly breed study subscription.
Oh stop!! That's such a cool thing to know! I had absolutely no idea and now I'm off to check them out. You made my whole day! ❤️😊💕 P.S. I know it's such an undertaking... why do I do these things to myself........ hahahaha
I love these episodes so much. I put it on this time while I was making dinner and it felt like you were just sitting at my dining room table chatting and knitting while I put dinner on; superb. I'm making a vest at the moment! It's the Willa Slipover by Paula Leme (Jojo Tricot) and it's got a beautiful Chevron Moss Stitch pattern all over. I'm loving it and it's challenging me too, so not a pick-up-n-go kind of knit. I've just cast on my second sock for my first ever pair of cuff-down vanilla socks, loving that easy knit. And I'm thinking of making either a Musselburgh hat as well as another shawl by Moonstruck Knits because swooooon. Too much knitting, not enough time basically >.
The weather in Finland on March seems very similar to yours 😂, we had some beautiful sunny spring days then the next it was snowing so much at least the snow didn't stay on the ground anymore, but still 😂 Im waiting for the heavy rain weathers to that the rest of the snow will melt
I'm also working on a shawl. (Suspiria Shawl by Soraya García), I am using some left over yarns from my The Frank Shawl (by Joji Locatelli). I absolutely love this pattern, this is so beautiful and simple to memorise. Also you get to play with colour as you wish, i am going to make this shawl as big as my yarns let me. 🎉❤
i am weaving in the ends of my eggs for easter socks and knitting on a lace sock as well! and i’m setting down my northern augustine no 1 for the evening
I have a couple vests planned for the fall, a vest along is a great idea! Also looking forward to following along with you on your spinning journey. Enjoyed your podcast as usual! I was swatching for a spring cardigan while watching. My gauge is smaller than expected, but I do have a couple patterns in mind.
Taking a break from the wrap sweater that is taking forever in order to whip out a head scarf/bandana today made with a hand dyed yarn from my local shop that was dyed to match the colors from the Rhinebeck poster this past year, held together with one of those yarns that adds bling. It's black cotton thread with little gold sequins and a strand of shiny gold. The bandana has fun beads on the edges, too. My inner crow is REALLY enjoying this. I'd name the pattern, but it is...well, my finished object will look like it, but there are so many errors, starting with giving the wrong cast on number, and they went about the process in the most difficult manner possible, so I'm doing my own thing. Therefore, I won't be naming the pattern. It is a free pattern and you get what you pay for, so I'm honestly not complaining.
Hi! I just found you. I am in southeastern Wisconsin 2 blocks from Lake Michigan. I am always looking for someone to sit and knit with so this works if it can’t be in person. Ha! I love what you are working on. Looking forward to more episodes. Love your warm, chill atmosphere as well. Take care.
Omg I loooooove that book - not to mention Summer. She is SUCH a treat. What an incredible idea, though... to make a whole box for Christmas... your husband is one lucky person!
Hi! I was so happy to see that your created a new video. I am working on a Cozy Classic Light. I am using two hand dyed yarns and creating a striped pattern.
Highly recommend zwartbles and blue texel breeds if you can get your hands on them! The blue texel is a grey variety of the texel, which is lovely too, but the grey is fantastic if you like neutrals colours.
Thank you for a other amazing episode. I have a vest and a cardigan on the needles but did not work on them. I worked on a dress shirt than needed some hand sewing done and it has a deadline.
I love your videos and look forward to them. I am a beginning knitter, pretty good crocheter and a future Tunisian crocheter. There could be a few more hours in the day and I would like that. Knitting-wise I am making a cotton cross-body bag to carry yarn and a small project while I walk the dogs. Most time I can get two stitches done while I walk, not too productive. I have a blanket, a cardigan, a shawl and a scarf going in crochet. Yikes I cannot start anything else.
I am absolutely mesmerized by Tunisian Crochet. It's the best of both worlds! The Hannah Montana of crocheting/knitting. I can't do it but if I was to get back into crocheting, I think that's where I'd start!
Finally got a quiet evening to knit with you! I’m working on a blanket by StitchWitchery called ScrapWitchery, using my Trilogy Yarns advent. Trying to get some good progress on it before switching to mostly socks for the summer. Though I seriously want to make an Emotional Support Chicken very soon!
Hee! "Garnet is a neutral. I said what I said." I'm working on a summer poncho/vest/thing using size 10 crochet thread. I'm making up the pattern, so I can't tell you what it is.
Usually I would be knitting while watching your podcast but today I am sitting in the hospital with my very sick adult son. It’s been a stressful time while he awaits heart surgery.
I needed to hear your soothing voice and the beautiful instrumental music 🎶 so I tuned in for a nice reprieve from the worrying and heartbreak 💔
🙏🏻THANK YOU😔
At long last, the next episode with knitting friend. Your voice is SO relaxing and I would enjoy listening to you read the phone book. It's a bonus that you are always full of great stories and chat. ❤😊
I'm sorry it took so long! Hahahaha Thank you so much for popping in and spending time with me - no matter how late it may be in getting to you 😊
I think your idea of the learning to spin videos is a really nice one! I'm sure a lot of people will be watching them!
I sure hope so!!

Bonjour Christophe, merci pour de vidéo avec votre voix apaisante et partage de vos ouvrages qui est plendite. Bravo🖐️🌞🌹
❤️❤️❤️
True story I haven’t even watched this new episode yet because I save each new episode for a quiet morning at home when I can relax and be uninterrupted. ❤❤❤
I don't think that's a problem at all! That's the beauty of UA-cam... you an tune in whenever works best for YOU ❤️❤️❤️
I’m knitting the Tiptoe Through the Tulips socks in the OG colors from the book! The yarn is gorgeous, almost worth the ridiculously high price I paid between international shipping and import fees :.) thank you for making these videos, they soothe me like nothing else ❤

Thank you for another wonderful soulful and inspirational podcast 🙏🧶🙏you are so calming and it’s wonderful to see you at your table giving the yarn and pattern the respect it so deserves 🙏💥🧶🧶🧶❣️
What an incredibly kind thing to say! Thank you so much ❤️😊❤️
I cast on a Chuck, it's On sweater by The Woolly Badger and it was so nice to have your company.
Oh, this is so lovely! And, without question, the Rios would be a beautiful yarn to make this pattern out of. That's going to end up so lush and soft!
I love to see a new episode. You do amazing knits. Your kindness is what everyone needs! Have a blessed Easter.❤❤❤
Thank you so much!! I'm glad you're here at the table with me 😊
Love your cat names! Howls moving castle is one of my favorite movies. ❤
Christopher is like cream on my soul 🥰
Thank you so much for this new episode and your calm voice and your smalltalk through my Easter morning ❤️🧶
❤️❤️❤️ I hope it was a lovely Easter morning for you!
Garnet is beautiful rich color. So, pretty
Perfect timing. I get to spend a nice quiet Monday morning doing a bit of knitting and chilling with you guys here at the table. An excellent way to spend a morning. I am no stranger to a good scrappy project! I never thought of making a scrappy shawl, though! Love that idea!

Back in the 70s we wore tank tops and I loved them , now they’re reinvented as vests , I may have to join the vest train lol . Beautiful shawl xx
Yesssss! 😊😊😊
Thank you, very enjoyable knitting along with you 👍🏻
Thank you so much for joining!
Don’t stop,it! It‘s very relaxing and inspiring.
Das Wölfchen
I have no plans of stopping! ❤️😊💕
😊
My GOODNESS this sounds so involved - but in the best possible way!
Garnet is definitely a neutral in my wardrobe. It's also my favorite gemstone. Teal is my other neutral...😊
Exceptional choices all around!
Thank you Christopher! So nice to knit with you. 😊
It's always a pleasure to have ya here with me! Thank you so much for taking a seat! ❤️😊💕
Your wrap looks so cozy! Garnet is an excellent colour choice.
I love the idea of a Year of the Vest! I need to add more to my wardrobe. 💜
Thank you so much! And yay!! MORE VEST! ❤️😊💕
Oh my! Happy belated birthday!!! ❤️😊💕
Lovely break to knit with you 💚
I’ve been knitting a sock with you today. Just vanilla with contrast toes, heels and cuff. Was working on the slip stitch heel while sitting at the table with you today. Thank you. You have a very soothing voice. 💚
Thank you for spending time with me! 😊 I hope your sock knitting is going well. I absolutely love making a good pair of socks.
Thank you for this relaxing hour of knitting with you.
My pleasure! Thank you for join me! ❤️😊💕
Love the pattern and the yarn colour is scrumptious. Happy knitting
Thank you so much!
I'm making an Almanac sweater by Tin Can Knits. You are delightful, Christopher. Thank you for being you!
And thank YOU for being here with me ❤️😊💕 I hope your sweater is coming along well!
Also I absolutely love knitting with you, this relaxes me so much more than just knitting and watching some tv show. Don't get me wrong i love to bench watch some shows and knit, but this actually feels so relaxing compares to that ❤
Well, thank you so much! I'm glad that you're here at the table with me 😊
I tend to knit socks all spring and summer, but this summer I've got a few James Watts lace projects lined up: some lace tees and tank tops. Thank you for your kind and gentle company this sunny Easter morn.
Oh, I love the James Watts patterns. You're going to have such a great time making those! ❤️😊💕
Oh my goodness your Cameo is absolutely gorgeous! The pattern, stitches and yarn are coming together to become an work in progress masterpiece. Bravo you!
Thank you so much! I'm really delighted with it so far!
Thanks for another crafty time, Christopher ❤
I finished the sewn bind-off on the Copper Penny cardigan that I'm testing for Our Yarny World Designs while sitting at your table today.
Thank you so much for being here with me! And yay!! Finished!!!
Hello, Christopher! It’s always nice to see you and be at your table. I’m knitting neon striped socks with my own vanilla sock pattern. ❤
Oooooh that sounds bright, springy, and fun! 😊
I am knitting a sock from the Salt and Timber book. This is my first time. It’s so nice to learn a new technique. 😊
Yay!! I'm a CONPULSIVE sock maker so I gladly approve of this new endeavor! 😊😊😊
Oooooh!! This is terribly exciting! I'm 1000% in support of all these decisions. 😊😊😊
Good morning Christopher. I am so much looking forward to your approach to the breed study, i took part in a small one done once by a not-so-local, but at least in the same country, crafter and loved it. The 'F&P sheep' got me laughing so loud - i hope it makes a reappearance in spin class 🐑
OH. He will be back. Many times over.
Oh, that's a great pattern!! Thank you so much for taking the time to sit and knit with me 😊❤️😊
Christopher, exciting to work on my knitting alongside you!
I was just wishing for a knitting at the table episode. Your shawl is looking gorgeous. Love from Iceland ❤
I'm so glad you took a seat with me! ❤️😊💕 Thank you!!
Oh no! What is the yet-to-be-released pattern???
That's the sad thing - I did start them inside hahahaha I'm not entirely sure I'm cut out for the ole gardening thing....
Im turning the heel on a sock as you popped up. Hello there.
Me too!
😊😊😊😊😊
My second try to watch this episode. First time I got interupted - and was knitting on a Lærke Bagger design - Family Sweater that I finished in the mean time. Now on my second try kitting on my 4th Ranunculus and savoring some quiet time this monday morning.
Well I hope it went uninterrupted this time!! 😊
Oh, I'm so glad that you joined me at the table! 😊😊😊 And please.... I don't need any more Norwegian purling encouragement.... hahahahaha
I hope this week went a little smoother for ya! That's such a great pattern and I'm sure it'll look just as lovely in one tone. 😊
friend, this is such a lovely video. you are so welcoming and kind, i feel so much better from watching this. also, it is so amazing to see more masculine presenting people in the community- i can't help but feel so strange and alienated when i am the only person in my area who looks like a man that knits, and when so many knitting/crafting podcasters i see are femme. you and others like you that share your craft make me feel much less alone. thank you for your peace, and for sharing your piece of the world.
Oh, I just loved reading this message! I hope your day was lovely and full of warmth ❤️😊💕
Yes! As you were doing that I said "HA! I do that!"
LOOOOOLLLL My stubble is the MVP of all my knitting.
I enjoyed this quiet time. I'm making my first knitted garment - a striped tank top. I'd love to knit a vest so a make-a-long sounds like fun
Oh, that's exciting! I hope it's going well so far! 😊😊
I'm just getting around to watching this now. Better late than never 🥰 I am working on the Friday Slipover by petitknit using Explorer Knits NSW To The Stars Who Listen ❤
You can come by ANY time. Like wizards - your viewing is never late or early. And I am pro anything that has to do with Explorer Knits. 10/10
Hello, fellow Midwesterner! I am in Iowa and our weather has been the craziest but know that your part of Illinois has been much worse. Your seeds may still do something after things warm up. Don’t lose hope.
Midwestern winters..... what would we do without them?
Lead normal lives. That's what.
I am not crafting right now. I am cleaning. But that is because I am having two friends over tomorrow to spend a whole afternoon quilting together!
Oh goodness!! I hope it was a wonderful time!
Yay for vest-a-longs!! 😊😊😊
A vest sounds like the IDEAL solution!! I'm putting together all the details on it this week so keep your eyes peeled!
Hi from Central Texas, Christopher! I’m working on another Sophie Scarf from PetiteKnit in a cotton yarn. They’re great little neck covers for our crazy hot summers here. Thanks for sharing your table - have a lovely weekend ❤
Hello!! Oh, I do love a lil neckerchief moment. You'll never catch me turning one down!
love love love it as always 💜🧶🧶🧶🤗
Thank you so much for taking a seat at the table with me! ❤️😊💕
So lovely, thank you. I was knitting on my Harvest Scarf using Scheepjes Wanderlust yarn.
Ooooh I bet that's LOVELY!
LOOOOVE the Savin! You're going to love making it!
I ADORE that pattern! I've not made it yet but it is truly only a matter of time....
I’m kitchnering my weekender 😂collar and left sleeve and I’m done🥳🥳
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Hey Christopher! I see a couple missing! I would definitely consider adding Polypay and Montadale. They are both some of my favorites. Great sources in Illinois, too. Leaf Livestock (polypay) and Frivolous Ewe (Montadale) are both Illinois shepherds.
AMAZING!! I've been looking for local farmers, too, so you knocked it out of the ballpark on this one 😊 Thank you!!
Is there a way to add a photo?😄
Oh, no! I don't think there is hahaha but I can use my imagination! I loooooove Shetland. I spun a secret braid of 100% Shetland a bit ago that I've not shared and I have to be honest.... I think it was my absolute favorite spin to date.
After you said that garnet and tan just go together, I looked down at what I am knitting, a half and half triangle wrap in tan and garnet!
The real ones know!!
Oh I looooove the Single Malt pattern. Maxim's patterns are written so well, I can't get enough of them.
Spinning is.... my goodness. It's its own beast, isn't it?? Are you using a treadle, spindle, or espinner?
I took a stranded colorwork class at my LYS Knit Dallas, the pattern was the Stoneham Poncho by Espace Tricot. I just finished the color work and now I'm on the plain stockinette then I need to do a split hem for the first time.
Ooooh! That's super exciting! You've gotten through the hardest part. You'll be sailing clean and clear the rest of the way! ❤️😊💕
I'm ready for warm weather! I wanna bring my hammock out!
I'm also working on a shawl. (Suspiria Shawl by Soraya García), I am using some left over yarns from my
The Frank Shawl (by Joji Locatelli). I absolutely love this pattern, this is so beautiful and simple to memorise. Also you get to play with colour as you wish, i am going to make this shawl as big as my yarns let me. 🎉❤
Ooooooh these are some lovely patterns!!
i am weaving in the ends of my eggs for easter socks and knitting on a lace sock as well! and i’m setting down my northern augustine no 1 for the evening
Love the idea of a lil easter egg sock moment! 😊😊
Thank you so much for joining me! And for swatching. I'm a mad swatcher myself and am always glad to see others doing it 😊
Today I’m knitting on the Easy V sweater by Caitlin Hunter! Your shawl is stunning, my jaw dropped
😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️ Oh thank you so much!!
@@FlannelandPurls you are so welcome!!
Oh, that's going to look AMAZING! Barring all of the errors which... we'll just, uh... look past, eh?? ❤️😊💕
Take care.
Welcome!! So glad to have ya here with me, neighbor!
I love your channel!! I’m working my way through Summer Lee’s “The Sock Project” book and making my husband a box of socks for Christmas
Omg I loooooove that book - not to mention Summer. She is SUCH a treat. What an incredible idea, though... to make a whole box for Christmas... your husband is one lucky person!
Your cameo is beautiful!
Oh, thank you! I love this pattern... I feel like the chart needs to be adapted into a cardigan or a sweater yoke...
Hi! I was so happy to see that your created a new video. I am working on a Cozy Classic Light. I am using two hand dyed yarns and creating a striped pattern.
That's a lovely pattern! It's going to be such a great layering item - in the event you live somewhere you need to bundle up!
Highly recommend zwartbles and blue texel breeds if you can get your hands on them! The blue texel is a grey variety of the texel, which is lovely too, but the grey is fantastic if you like neutrals colours.
I love (prefer) natural colors!! I will be looking for this!
Thank you for a other amazing episode. I have a vest and a cardigan on the needles but did not work on them. I worked on a dress shirt than needed some hand sewing done and it has a deadline.
Look at you: already prepared for Year of the Vest and Cardigan! You knew it was coming. Fully prepared. ❤️😊💕
Omg I need the Emotional Support Chicken. I'm obsessed.
Hee! "Garnet is a neutral. I said what I said." I'm working on a summer poncho/vest/thing using size 10 crochet thread. I'm making up the pattern, so I can't tell you what it is.
Hahaha As someone who loves making things up as he goes, I feel this in my bones.
