Does your lab have any system as to calibrating your pipettes?
Yeah every so often there will be a ‘pipette clinic’ where people come and you can have your pipettes calibrated

That is a nessicary evil when it comes to having a sterile environment. Lots of things are one and done so you don't risk contamination. Same in hospitals.
