Hiatt is on a roll..going out over the world to all fans watching..a legend and terrific singer and guitar player with his group on the sidelines..music is superior and rhythem and melody is grand..Hiatt is a musician that has no end in his music
Little Village..with these legends in the flow of the world before them to cheer them on..Great rhythem and melody has taken 5hem to number one on the chart..and the soundxof the weeping guitar played..sensational sound that's coming out of those instuments..
isn't youtube great? I was thinking of this song this morning and thinking I would be lucky to find anyone had filmed it. Saw them playing at Hammersmith, London in 92 and it was just like this. Ry got a huge ovation for the solo. Thanks.
If these guys havent met up for recording a Hiatt album, i'm pretty sure this had not happened. Four guys that felt that" ... well this grooves good together, why don't we try some more?" Four very gifted guys that thought it "had something" when they played together. I don't believe in any god, but what got these guys say hello and later goodbye to eachother was a very fortunate slump of space in musical history. I love slumps!
I play guitar and I heard this and thought - I will learn to play this solo with a slide - Big mistake - Its unbelielevably difficult to get anywhere close to Ry's solo
ry worried that his original solo sounded to him like a "danny boy" rip-off. It wasn't: but he's obviously gone to whole new delicious places in his live cover. But that's what we expect of real musicians. Never play the same solo twice.
Brilliant Ry at his best great song
Saw these brilliant musicians in Frankfurt during that tour. Wish to heck they would get together one more time.

It's a shame I can only give this one 'like'.

Love John Hiatt´s face at the end of Ry Cooder´s solo!!

I wouldn't hold my breath. Hiatt and Ry never got along. Glad I saw them when I had the chance, such a great lineup and album.

Yes. His pitch is masterful. It's very hard to play as in tune as he does.
