what about a pointed nose cone type thing out front that slices thru the snow & at the same time funnels that snow towards the tires to drive up under. I noticed alot of vehicles were pushing snow out front & it was piling up. IDK just a thought

It’s amazing that no matter the horsepower no matter the size of the tires there’s no substitute for tracks.

yep Joseph Armand Bombardier the Quebecker inventor of the snowmobile understood this in 1936, tracks have the distinct advantage of spreading the weight or pressure of the vehicule over a contact patch 100 of times greater than tires. So for off road or deep snow there is no substitute 😊

So back in my snow wheelin days you would get that look when the snow shoeiers and skiers would hear n see trucks coming on the road… and now when I see the Yeti tracks you guys leave I get that same feeling they must have had 😊
We would pack the center with snowshoes and shovel when we had steeps and deeps to cross that we knew no one was driving thru … with the occasional winch-a-thon to break trail …cold fun makes the dinner taste better , the beer more refreshing and the warm bed cozier 😊

Your attempt to get to the top reminds me of something that happened here in the UK many years ago.
A 4x4 magazine wanted to hold a ‘shoot out’ event with all the most recent makes/models of 4x4.
They arranged the event on an estate which had a long grass slope which the vehicles would have to climb. On the day the grass was very wet after rain all the previous night.
The estate owner asked his gamekeeper to liaise with the magazine.
At the end of the day none of the 4x4s managed to make it to the top but great fun was had by all.
The gamekeeper said he needed to get away as he had to go feed the pheasants.
He jumped in his series 1 land rover (about 1950s) and drove straight up and over the hill.
    Hundreds of horsepower forget it.

    Great video.
Each one of those rigs are bad ass in their own right.
I'm a little surprised that the green rig that Devin has doesn't have problems breaking parts with all that horsepower. Whoever built that motor used some strong parts.
But, the Sherp Argo is the King of any terrain.
    I'd love to own one.
My biggest adventure off roading was back in '98 with a buddy in his Jeep CJ we drove his Jeep, 6 inch lift, 38 inch tires, Detroit lockers, reverse shackkes, hot water exchange for hot showers and doing dishes, electric inverter to run the blender and a hot plate, multi disc CD player, GPS, and more, from San Jose, (Silicon Valley) CA. 2 hours on the freeway to Ice House Road which becomes the beginning of the trail that becomes The Rubicon Trail. We spent 3 days crawling and camping the whole Rubicon all the way to the top where it comes out of the forest at Emerald Bay Lake Tahoe. Then we drove that perfectly built, perfectly performing Jeep two and a half hours back home. Not one problem with that Jeep. Larry had been building Jeeps and crawling the Rubicon for over 10 years by that time. He had already been through the trial and error phase.
I couldn't have had a better experience than what we did that weekend.

@@ostacruiser --- We're kinda spoiled here in California as far as amazing natureand the various types of terrain to choose from. We've got trails in the forests through Alpine land, high desert mountains, low desert valleys, giant sand dunes, places to go fast or slow and places to go fast and slow.
It's getting harder to live here because the state government has their head up their asses.
Enjoy what we can while we can.

Can’t wait till summer to try it again with the big batteries that I have now. The flight time is insane with them. Easily over 40 minutes when not in sport mode. Higher wider vehicle with shallow vshaped bottom and small vshaped plow on front high enough for ground clearance but can be used to keep from getting high centered. Vehicle itself with electric motors on all four wheels to avoid needing low hanging suspernsion/driveshaft. Electric being produced by diesel engine for longevity and higher elevations.
