Yes, I referred to Double Jeopardy as "Second Jeopardy". No, this was not worth reuploading the entire video to fix. Checkmate, nerds.

The other nerdgasm: it was 7 years Jeopardy was off the air, between late 1975-78 and 1979-84. I raise your checkmate and make it a true Daily Double. 😂
But in all seriousness, a great review. And yes, Merv was a badass… a very intelligent, successful, wealthy… badass. He also owned hotels and hosted his own talk show for a lonngggg time.

Adding that clapping at the end of the video got me good 😂

The way you repeated Merv Griffin's name just gives me the headcanon of him communicating like a Pokémon and just saying his name repeatedly.
Game show video games are always kind of destined to be a snapshot of the time they were released, which is interesting, but makes them hard to go back to if you weren't there at the time. Also, the contestants in Super Jeopardy are kiiiinda terrifying.

The hobbits like second Jeopardy, and if it’s good enough for hobbits it’s good enough for us.

Thanks for posting this! We snagged the three basic versions of this game along with three “Wheel of Fortune” games to use as spelling practice with the kids.

I remember viewing these games as edutainment back in the day. Mostly because the answers had to be spelled 100% correct or the game would mark it as wrong. Merv Griffin was gonna TEACH those kids damnit!

I was so sure you would type out "Old Fart" at 2:51, but you managed to disappoint me

The clapping sounds like me banging my fist on my shower wall telling the neighbors next door to turn the music down LMAO.

One of the players that you cycled through on the first game looks like Commander Keen with his hair looking like Commander Keen's helmet.

Super Jeopardy was based off a summer special ABC did in the late '80s where the winner won $250,000. They brought back all winners from previous tournaments including the Art Fleming era. It was on Sunday at 8 P.M. and had Monopoly afterwards which was created by you guessed it, Meth Griffith.

I like Jeopardy Junior Edition the best!
You should show a review of the Wheel Of Fortune NES games. Thanks!

    Funny script!
You mention multiplayer. For 3-4 players do these work with the Four Score or is there some other workaround?
    Merv Griffin.

Good question. I should have mentioned this. For all but Super Jeopardy, 3 players share 2 controllers. Players 1 and 3 buzz in using the d-pad or action buttons respectively. For Super Jeopardy this is true for all 4 players (2 and 2) but it is also compatible with the Satellite. No mention of the Four Score and I didn't try it.

Merv Griffin was an extremely successful TV producer and talk show host. Also (spoilers) he was the elevator killer in the Steve Martin's "The Man With Two Brains."
    ua-cam.com/video/1apPcf1D4hI/v-deo.html
According to Griffin, it was his wife who suggested the idea.
The Alex Trebek version which started in 1984 is the second version of the show. You might say it was the "Second Jeopardy". The show originally ran from 1964-1979. Weird Al's "I lost on Jeopardy!", is about this version of the show.

I thought the character Beryl was some sort of rodent on first look.
Also I never really got the point of board games or game shows on the NES and other consoles (They start making more sense when online play was the norm). They were always bottom of the barrel choices when looking to buy or rent a game.
