@@jerrymills-og8pyI thought he was still in his 60's. Damn, another ten years have got behind him. Time is heavy, but also another great song from this band.
@@JusticeServ... lol... I commented on your studio version reaction of my physical reaction that my heart always feels like it's skipping beats when the violins come on... my wife always holds my hand and smiles... great reaction. I hope you know what this song is about
You get superstar status for not interrupting the guitar solo...aces! This was the kind of stuff we got in the 70s, all live, no lip syncing, no computerized bullshit, just talented artists giving us a show.
Now you know why... half a century later, and this music still stirs the soul. Pink Floyd is iconic!

Awesome reaction, and congrats for letting the song continue without any breaks.. Thats a hard lead not to react to. Bought my first Pink Floyd record back in '74'. Seen them live in '94'. Now in 2024 my grandson introduced me to UA-cam. I found reaction videos and this was the first song I looked up. I told my grandson he might have put 10 years back on my life. Shedmen Meh
I was 19 when I went to Earls Court and saw them on the very night they recorded this. Almost 30yrs later and it remains as the best thing I have ever seen.
You asked "imagine being high & there.." yes, I can... Cuz I was , 6 times starting in the early 70's throughout their years. The most phenomenal band ever, not even close. And that guitar performance by David Gilmore is widely recognized as the most iconic in history. It absolutely thrills me to see fine young people like yourself discovering Pink Floyd and their music, and their amazing live performances. I've seen reactions with some saying "Oh my God" as they listen and see this...and reactions where they sit stunned in overwhelming emotions, with tears flowing from their eyes. Nothin sums up Pink Floyd better than that. "Their music pulls each of us in, in a very personal way"... And whether it's joy or tears, we're astonished and glad it it did. " You don't listen to Floyd, you feel them ."
Congratulations young man you have now experienced the best band of all time and the most epic guitar solo of all time from a guitar God … I encourage you to fully dive into the rabbit hole that is Pink Floyd … it’s very very deep, enjoy your journey.
I like Dave Gilmore but there are way better Guitar solos. Go and listen to Gary Moore live The Messiah Will Come Again his Hendrix covers Parisian walkways Still got the Blues and on and on. Jeff Beck Stevie Ray Vaughn, Roy Buchanon etc.
No need to apologize about things like the phone comment. You've never known any different and those kind of generational comments make a react video interesting. Love seeing a 22yo react to diff era's/styles of music. It's just awesome that you're even hearing this. Keep up the good work.
I was at the New Orleans version of this concert. I am now 74, and still can't get enough of Pink Floyd and this solo. Thanks for not interrupting it. You get an A. . Glad you liked it.
PF started their musical career in the 1960's. Their main creative force was then Syd Barret, but Syd became a victim of drugs and was unable to continue to perform. From those early days the music & light shows were experimental. As time went on they got really good! Dave joined before Syd quit. Keep Reacting!
Imagine with me... what if EVERYONE had a copy of this song... & all at once.... all over the world... in every heart...we pushed play? Thanks for posting, my friend! Blessings to you & yours! 🙏
This is what happens when actual musicians Love and respect their music. Most important rules when reacting to Pink Floyd. 1) NEVER EVER pause during a David Gilmour 2) Never take your eyes off of the performance. Pink Floyd is a Visual experience as well Musical. Floyd builds the show to connect to and pull your emotions to the surface. Every song performed at this concert was built to do the same thing that this song did. Ill recommend Sorrow and Keep Talking next.
This solo is the sound of resolute anguish. Trapped pain scratching at a cell it can never leave.. The greatest solo of all time. Also, if you bought this album in the 90s, it had a blinking red light on it that went on for years.
So I told my son when he was 10 that he should listen to The Wall. He's been OBSESSED with Floyd ever since (he's now almost 13). You're never too young to be introduced to the greats 😊 It makes me so happy seeing the younger generation exploring the music that came before. It's beautiful.
@@boroblueyes I stood 10m from all three girls on that tour in Australia. They sounded like angels were singing. 15,000+ people there if I recall, outside on a hot night in summer. The band never sounded better. Margaret Taylor is a smokin hot lady.
@@GM-fh5jp Nice, I wasn't that lucky. I was near the 30 yard line when they played at Grant Field in Atlanta. They were just Angelic! And yes, Margaret is just gorgeous.
This is considered by some as the best guitar solo of all time. However, I gotta give props to Stevie Ray's Texas Flood live at the El Macambo as the very best.... and I love PF. If you haven't seen it... it's a must-watch. Don't sweat it. Your mic is fine. Do what you can do until you can do better. We love your vids regardless. It's all about the presentation!
Kudos for not interrupting the guitar solo. Pulse.....even after 30 years, it's still one of the very best live concert dvds outright. Got to see them twice on this tour (Detroit, Chicago)
Just imagine being an 8 year old boy and seeing Pink Floyd live as you very first concert? This was me when an older Brother took me to Pink Floyd so The Dark Side of the Moon back in 1973, I was 8 years old and have loved them ever since.
I have seen some of the most iconic bands on the planet. Floyd was an experience light years beyond the next best bands on the list. 7th row....center stage. It was a spiritual experience....
David rips his heart and soul, serves it directly to ours, deeply out of deepness and leaves us rethinking our existence. This is how the music is supposed to speak to us.
I believe you would enjoy the entire Pulse concert, I'm enjoying watching your reaction to the Greatest Band of all times, Hope you do the entire concert, God Bless
The greatest band of ALL time doing their thing! I realize I'm a biased Pink Floyd megafan...but if you're interested in more of their live performances, literally any track from this concert (pulse) is phenomenal. Second set they break out Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety with this Numb performance one of three encores. If you havent experienced Dark Side yet, buckle up my friend. Do yourself a favor. Its now over 50 years old and celebrated to this day for a reason. I dont know your particular taste in music but the music and lyrics (no bullshit) will change your life. Guaranteed.
As a side note, dont think this Eagles fan doesnt see that Hurts jersey hanging up! Lets hope the coordinator changes they made this offseason make him and the team unpredictable and unstoppable. Go Birds!
Welcome to the most amazing musical rabbit hole you can enter. In short Pink Floyd is the finest band to step on stage or studio. You will find that you will experience Pink Floyd music. Enjoy the ride my young friend.
My all time favorite song by one of my all time favorite bands. The thing most people do not get with Pink Floyd is you do not listen to Pink Floyd, you experience Pink Floyd. Your title deserves the all caps. It is regarded by many to be among, if not the, finest guitar solo ever recorded, and it was Live. I got to see the Pulse concert in Dallas at Texas Stadium. The one with the giant hole in the roof, the same size as the field. During the Cowboys games, players got wet while the fans stayed dry. During the concert, the lasers would often go out through the hole, and had to wonder what people must have thought in the surrounding area. Thank you for reacting to PF, you have only scratched the surface, enjoy.
