I think people had a right to be indignant over a Generations remaster considering Sonic Colors Ultimate was their chance to finally free that game from the Wii and they fucked it up
Yeah, before the announcement dropped, folks basically had to lower their expectations due to Colors Ultimate coming out the way it did (leading to SEGA patching the hell out of it and inspiring Project Re:Rainbow to be made), leading to them having the reactions they had of Black Doom returning.
The best revelation from this showcase was that we've finally convinced (tricked) Dan to do Legacy of Kain month eventually

dragon's dogma is barely anything like dark souls
The fact that it has aerial anything is a pretty big indicator, among other things.
Yeah, I played both Dragon's Dogma and some souls games. They were nothing alike.
It was a completely bizarre comparison. It's like any third person melee game Dan isn't interested in is suddenly Dark Souls. I guess you could say this is the Dark Souls of podcast crews.

Having played the first game and found it to be good and fun, the new one just seems like the same but in third person PoV. That's not bad at all.
Yeah it's a month later and it's very succesful and pretty damn good. It feels like a lot of theit negativity was coming from a place of exasperation at LSG/Online-focused games as a concept rather than any real critiques of the game itself.
