Even though SQUARE ENIX has not exactly been the greatest over the last many years outside of a few games like Octopath traveler 2 and obviously Final Fantasy 14 and soon to be 16. I will at least give them a little bit of credit for at least making a game in a genre that is mostly untouched with hopefully no NFT’s lol

Also in a spoilercast interview for the first Spider-Man game one of the game directors Bryan Intihar said that the reason that Insomniac didn’t have the famous black symbiote suit for Peter as an alternative suit was because they wanted to save it for this game. He said it was far too iconic to have as just and alternate suit. And he was freaking right, because this suit looks so freaking awesome!!!
I can’t wait to see what suits we get in the new game. I’m sure there will be a bunch of great ones just like the last game, I’m hoping we get an agent venom skin

gameplay wise it looks really cool but visually i still think it looks better in the comics where it has no texture to it. like Peter is just living in a suite of black ink or tar, it feels less manufactured that way, which it isn’t, he’s literally wearing an alien life form.

I remember Snake Eater being this first mgs game I ever played, it was gifted to me by my dad’s friend’s son and I was too scared to even play it because I was terrified of snakes, I finally got passed it and I absolutely fell in love, can’t wait to experience this again
Peter with the Symbiote suit is always interesting to see with how people portray him. The Sam Raimi Spiderman 3 had Peter act like a bully/edgy dork. This game it seems to make him aggressive, dismissive and not able to think ahead/well in fights (for example, he tries to take out the helicopter without realizing it had defenses). He even makes his voice sound more menacing.

There's not alot of games that really blew me away visually. We are deep into the ps5's life cycle and I haven't seen many examples of like, next level sophisticated graphics. It's just a slight improvement on the old.

It's sad that a lot of people's reaction to The Talos Principle 2 was just none. The first game is probably my favorite of the genre and it had a really great and beautiful world with interesting things to say

Ghostrunner is like a first person hotline miami in the sense that you and every enemy (bar bosses) die in one hit. If you have the patience for it I'd highly recommend it
Dragon´s Dogma 2 was fucking fantastic, I can´t wait to see more of it, it seems almost like a pseudo remake, MGS3 was sick and loved the collection, but man... I REALLY WANTED BLOODBORNE

phantom blade 0 looks cool but it makes me wonder how much of it was actually done by separate inputs. it just seems like so much that it would either be impractical or that a lot of things are just automatically done by running to a specific spot or spaming a button. enemy switching can just be easily done with lock on quick swaps that's not what I'm thinking but in combat there were like enemy parries woven into swordplay besides the just big kick. i think it would be a game that I don't buy on release and wait for reviews.

I’ve learned not to get my hopes up too high, but everything is in the same spots as the original, according to what they shown. So far, it’s pretty faithful and visually beautiful! I understand your thoughts though, there are some hypocrisy in people, but “metal gear solid” is not just a measly title, it’s got a huge following for a reason 👍

Now, if Konami mess up in a big way later down the line, for example by anouncing some awful things about the game or not anouncing anything good, then yes I'm sure people will return to shitting on them. But in the meantime, nothing wrong with them taking that positively (if cautiously).

They didn't show much from first party, and multiplayer isn't really my thing, but I get that it helps to have those kinds of games in between big first party games because Sony does lack some internally made MP content since retiring a lot of franchises filling that niche But where it hit, I got what I wanted. Phantom Blade looks fantastic, FFXVI's story trailer was great, MGS3 was awesome and the idea of replaying MGS1 with trophies is reason enough for another playthrough. That game from the Gris devs looks beautiful, Ghostrunner 2 looks slick, and Spider-Man 2 is literally like the best of what Insomniac did with the first two games with some Web of Shadows thrown in for good measure, and a great amalgamation of Symbiote arc, Last Hunt and Hunted, the latter are some quintessential Kraven stories
Yeah that’s how I feel too. I understand that not everyone wants trailers for shit they dont really know about but I was pleasantly surprised. Cat quest, the plucky squire, revenant hill, and ultros all look great as well. Happy to see Alan wake 2 gameplay as a big remedy guy, and even those multiple breath of the wild types are intriguing at the very least.
I mean, they show 5 first party games, helldivers 2, haven's game, firewalk game, bungie game and spiderman 2. I hope we have a more focused SP showcase later this year, at least they already showed the MP side of first party games

Wow, Max looked genuinely pissed off and sickened by Teardown, which is a shame as it's a genuinely great game. Also, key detail for the MGS collection, it is a part 1, so that totally means that MGS4 will finally be remastered in the volume 2 collection, which is the first time that game will come back since it's original release.. About damn time!
The leak that said there'd be collections said that MGS4 will not be in the collections, but stuff like Rising, Portable Ops, and Peace Walker are the likely candidates for a vol. 2.

@@siinxx7656 But surely that means the hype surrounding the Snake Eater remake is purely based on Konami rehashing it's old products as an attempt to capitalise on nostalgia while ultimately putting out the same product? Plus, almost all of Max's bingo card entries are just remakes/remasters, I love him but he is driven pretty badly by nostalgia. Teardown isn't super original in its base premise, but its gameplay mechanics and engine definitely separate it out from other destruction based titles and very much make it it's own entity.
He does angry Peter so well. Insomniac really is one of the best studios in the industry right now. So many little improvements. Almost every time they show up with one of their games they show so much gameplay. It’s a nice change of pace after a whole showcase of mostly CG trailers.
He's done a lot of anime roles with that type of voice. Sasuke from Naruto is an easy one to point out cause that character is in an eternal state of pissy
Cat Quest is actually a great series. Open world action RPGs with no enemy level scaling, very fast paced, only a few hours long, and inexpensive. I highly recommend Cat Quest 2 especially.

The first game is probably my favorite of the genre and it had a really great and beautiful world with interesting things to say
I mean, I'm sure the game will be good and all, but that trailer had nothing it provided the viewer, especial a viewer who hasn't played the first one. Trailers just need to actually show the game and not just a concept of the world.

I don’t think we are gonna see anything Wolverine until after Spider-Man 2 is out cus it’s the same studio. I just read an article this morning that was speculating Wolverine wouldn’t be out until late 2024 or early 2025

Ghostrunner is like a first person hotline miami in the sense that you and every enemy (bar bosses) die in one hit. If you have the patience for it I'd highly recommend it

Dragon´s Dogma 2 was fucking fantastic, I can´t wait to see more of it, it seems almost like a pseudo remake, MGS3 was sick and loved the collection, but man... I REALLY WANTED BLOODBORNE

@@whydoyoukeeptalking I think it looks great, It maintains the art style of the first one, but with an amazing graphic update. I think because they were still learning the Re Engine back in Dmc 5, that game looked boring for me. So I'm really happy with what they've done here.
They are really getting more and more skilled with RE Engine! Can't wait to see what they do with DD2, DD is amazing.

phantom blade 0 looks cool but it makes me wonder how much of it was actually done by separate inputs. it just seems like so much that it would either be impractical or that a lot of things are just automatically done by running to a specific spot or spaming a button. enemy switching can just be easily done with lock on quick swaps that's not what I'm thinking but in combat there were like enemy parries woven into swordplay besides the just big kick. i think it would be a game that I don't buy on release and wait for reviews.

I’ve learned not to get my hopes up too high, but everything is in the same spots as the original, according to what they shown. So far, it’s pretty faithful and visually beautiful! I understand your thoughts though, there are some hypocrisy in people, but “metal gear solid” is not just a measly title, it’s got a huge following for a reason 👍
@Anti-bs which makes complete sense? People where shitting on Konami exactly for *not* doing stuff like a MGS3 remake. They would have to be of really bad faith to not get hyped when they finally do.
Now, if Konami mess up in a big way later down the line, for example by anouncing some awful things about the game or not anouncing anything good, then yes I'm sure people will return to shitting on them. But in the meantime, nothing wrong with them taking that positively (if cautiously).

They didn't show much from first party, and multiplayer isn't really my thing, but I get that it helps to have those kinds of games in between big first party games because Sony does lack some internally made MP content since retiring a lot of franchises filling that niche
But where it hit, I got what I wanted. Phantom Blade looks fantastic, FFXVI's story trailer was great, MGS3 was awesome and the idea of replaying MGS1 with trophies is reason enough for another playthrough. That game from the Gris devs looks beautiful, Ghostrunner 2 looks slick, and Spider-Man 2 is literally like the best of what Insomniac did with the first two games with some Web of Shadows thrown in for good measure, and a great amalgamation of Symbiote arc, Last Hunt and Hunted, the latter are some quintessential Kraven stories
Every game you said looked great along with FNAF, Alan Wake, and Street Fighter 6 for me
Yeah that’s how I feel too. I understand that not everyone wants trailers for shit they dont really know about but I was pleasantly surprised. Cat quest, the plucky squire, revenant hill, and ultros all look great as well. Happy to see Alan wake 2 gameplay as a big remedy guy, and even those multiple breath of the wild types are intriguing at the very least.

I mean, they show 5 first party games, helldivers 2, haven's game, firewalk game, bungie game and spiderman 2. I hope we have a more focused SP showcase later this year, at least they already showed the MP side of first party games

Wow, Max looked genuinely pissed off and sickened by Teardown, which is a shame as it's a genuinely great game. Also, key detail for the MGS collection, it is a part 1, so that totally means that MGS4 will finally be remastered in the volume 2 collection, which is the first time that game will come back since it's original release.. About damn time!
The leak that said there'd be collections said that MGS4 will not be in the collections, but stuff like Rising, Portable Ops, and Peace Walker are the likely candidates for a vol. 2.

@@superhylia Ah, that's really unfortunate! I know it wasn't universally loved but I do think it had some genuinely great mechanics like the stealth suit and the battles. Plus, I honestly don't think Peace Walker was all that great.
@@siinxx7656 But surely that means the hype surrounding the Snake Eater remake is purely based on Konami rehashing it's old products as an attempt to capitalise on nostalgia while ultimately putting out the same product? Plus, almost all of Max's bingo card entries are just remakes/remasters, I love him but he is driven pretty badly by nostalgia.
Teardown isn't super original in its base premise, but its gameplay mechanics and engine definitely separate it out from other destruction based titles and very much make it it's own entity.
Yuri Lowenthal is a shockingly good choice for Peter Parker.

He does angry Peter so well. Insomniac really is one of the best studios in the industry right now. So many little improvements. Almost every time they show up with one of their games they show so much gameplay.

He's done a lot of anime roles with that type of voice. Sasuke from Naruto is an easy one to point out cause that character is in an eternal state of pissy
Cat Quest is actually a great series. Open world action RPGs with no enemy level scaling, very fast paced, only a few hours long, and inexpensive. I highly recommend Cat Quest 2 especially.
