I think Matpats theory is an overall a good video and a good place to learn the basic lore of the game, There are definitely some small details I think he gets wrong, but the important parts are all included (at least for the first 3 parts)

I really feel for the lone survivor. The poor guy had to have face reconstruction surgery from being shot in the face, and he suffers PTSD and survivors guilt. His nephew had a birthday party at Chucky E Cheese, and he had a panic attack when he made the effort to attend and saw the workers vaccuming and cleaning up, like he was innocently doing when the gun man killed all his co-workers in front of him.

FNAF3 being maybe 1998-2003, FNAF6 being 2005-2010, and the modern era happening in 2016-2018. that still makes them all old but not staggeringly old (like the youngest charitable age for William would be 78 if the dancing bear show was maybe more in like early 40s, but his wife would be no younger than 60 - NOTE: age gaps back then were weird as hell but normalized) where FNAF5 happens is predicated on if we're to believe we've been playing Mike all along, but it would still be in the 90s (either 1991 before FNAF1 or maybe 1996 sometime before FNAF3) or alternatively: fuck the scatterbrained lore, drop whatever doesn't make sense until it does
