not even close to impossible. guilds on private servers are doing it within 2 weeks of the content's release (for normal and heroic).

Still guilds on pservers killed this in even boosted versions with 20% more boss and ooze-hp with far worse gear

@@tomsawyer7230 I think the point you are missing is that Paragon went into this as it was new content, also with a limited amount of pulls (20 I believe) before the boss would despawn. People on private servers don't have to figure out any strategies or learn the fight since it's more than 10 years old and there is an amplitude of information already

But if you play the mechanics correctly p1-p2, and manage to cheese the tank debuffs in p3 with hunter taunts etc. and have the dps its a fairly easy fight on unbuffed values.
The fact they only needed so few attempts (idk how many they did with alts/ptr) to figure out how to do and execute it perfectly is ofc incredible even by todays standards.
The song always reminds me of this paragon boss fight. Brings a nostalgic tear to the eye thinking back to wotlk days.... i miss it so much

Paragon still king in my book. I remember doing 25m the first week and winning 3 pally tank tokens and getting the 4th token the following week. I was best prot belf pally on Argent dawn for about 6 weeks.

the lich king kill was made several days after the change which presumably explains the spec change

@TriceRiel while this is true, i feel that it takes away some of your attention to have to stare at your bars to judge the cooldown remaining on a skill or the little tiny dot timer debuff box on the target. i do not think addons help significantly with raid awareness in the regard you think im referring to, but that addons allow you to pay more attention to whats going on rather than the technical details

Looking back after all these years one thing really stands out. Their DPS - its quite modest compared to what we see in 2023 Classic WoW. These were the days before everyone had low ping, the meta was completely turned on its head and people had to figure out how to do things the hard way.
Their positioning and target switching is still great though, showing they were still good players. The throughput of that time was just that much lower.

p3 pre-nerf was a nightmare, go hardcore, pray nobody gets hit / cast debuff and pray to kill it before someone with tanking stacks dies

Aswell as the double ooze on phase transition there is the " unbound plauge " mechanic implimented with the hardmode which requires good coordination to counter.

Omen is for hand of salvation ... bop... lol You can also turn on righteous fury for 6% reduced damage taken and will need to watch threat on omen just in case.

That was for normal mode, not hard mode which Paragon have done and Ensidia still have yet to do it.
@davidvanrooy, imp. RF gives you 6% mitigation from damage taken. On fights with no adds or agro resets it is pretty handy.

no it wasn't the rogue has 2 chat windows, 1 for whispers and one of everything else, so you don't see it but there are alot more achievement pings hidden.
Yeah, I suppose. The Grid download I see on Curse doesn't look quite like that though. Does this one have some sort of texture/skin application?
@MakinHD Pretty sure it's just Omen, I could be wrong but it looks like he's just got it set up for the most basic display. Omen is very customizable.

I never did PP on hardmode when I was 80lvl. But I can only imagine how painful fight this must've been.

the reason they didn't publish the LK 25hc vid a few weeks after the first kill. was because the 2 guild to kill him asked them not to. proberly so people wouldn't get help from they're vid to defeat him.

? I don't get your point? Is this achievement somehow good on today standards? Just a little reminder to your tiny brain, gaming on 2009/2010 was casual as fuck, this kill was AMAZING back in the day but right now you can see private server guilds nuking PP on 0% with 30-40% buffed stats. There's literally nothing to watch and learn here besides admiring this few players that were so ahead of their time back in the day...
@@vezax8505 In the end you almost got it but you couldn't put the pieces together. Many private server players think they are good at the game because they can kill PP 25hc while burning him down but they don't understand how easier it is with the ICC 30% buff (not to mention that some of those private servers may have bugged mechanics). That's why they should watch this video before thinking they are top players. And there is much to learn from this video, because it's a perfect execution of the strategy.
@@barneypanofsky1957 Well there's so many things to correct that I couldn't ignore your coment.
Lets just start with the players: on one side you got amazing progressive players that were incredible at adapting and creating strategies over different patches to gather up world firsts and being on the top (that's the best point of retail top players on both PvE and PvP, it was back then and will still be like that). On the other side (talking about top private server players) you got people that has done the content dozens of times and has been "min-maxing" their class on that SPECIFIC PATCH for YEARS. So there is no way (aiming onto any top player) in which this video being taken out of context (2009/2010) could be anywhere near the best on TODAY STANDARDS (as I said earlier, gaming on 2009/10 was pretty much a casual thing compared to nowadays, so only taking in count the context this kill would classify as good).Anyways any comparison as I've stated is irrelevant, they are completely different between types of players.
Now servers, scripts and your huge missconception:
Almost any WoTLK progressive server has almost 99% Blizz-like scripts working and a very tiny amount of non game-breaking bugs going on (most of them tend to be against the player performance). On the other side any player that farms content on 30% normally stays shut because they know the bosses are pure rollface; on the other hand the real progressive players from private servers will agree with me on this video not being impressive at all and let me give you 2-3 reasons you might have forgotten or didn't knew:
1- They are doing the content on 0% buff and normally (when progressing) with less gear than the players back then on retail.
2- The HP and all sort of damage from the bosses is normally boosted by AT LEAST 30%.
3- Enrage timers are shorter than how they were on retail.
So how do they get the things done? We're back to square one here: they just know the encounters perfectly, they have mastered on min-maxing their class and they are having some crazy boosting strategies that have been developed over the years.
As I said before, this video is amazing taking in consideration all the elements I've stated in an earlier comment, however, unless you're casual at this *specific patch* the video shouldn't be surprising at all.
PS: I saw you also bashed onto private server players thinking they are "top" by farming content on 30% (bla bla bla, insert here all the non-sense you've stated); do you actually realize that many of those you just bashed were on a VERY CLOSE LEVEL from the guys on the video back when the patch was live?
Coming from someone who has been in a decent guild back in the days and that has played on progressive private servers, after all this years I can say that I had SO MUCH to learn back then (aswell as the guys in the video) that I would get completely destroyed by my actual performance on the same patch. Is how things work:

I FRAPs my guild's encounters and use Windows Live Movie Maker to editing them, but no matter what format I save them to, non of them fill up the entire screeen, I always have bars both on the top and bottem, and on the sides. Please help! Id like to view my movies in glorious full widescreen!
