33:00 only the bad guys call her Madame grape. Good guys call her Grape. It's the politeness deference that was probably more noticable in JP.
While finding out who the real Detective is, when he says “Madame Grape” I think it’s meant to show that they’re a lackey, cuz why would you call someone Madame if you don’t admire or work for them
This is just speculation on my part tho
Has to be, cause everyone other than the lackeys call her Sour Grape.
Yeah that’s exactly it. Only her underlings call her Madame Grape and everyone else calls her Grape.
Day 22 of reminding everyone Ian drank Casey’s chocolate milk. We need Ian to get Casey another Nesquik one of these days, maybe the finale of Showtime. Or maybe some luxury chocolate milk. *Luxury chocolate milk.*
Edit: Casey really is the hottest name I know, can’t really lie.
During the detective level Casey told Ian to go to the right…
That’s 1 on the Casey backseating counter 😔
Also telling Ian to go back and examine the first exhibit of the four before continuing; wow, Casey really backseating this episode.
@@aquain1 Make it 2
The mermaid singing sections are actually the Undyne fight with fish
technically the original undyne fight is also with fish, but singular
You might not have noticed, but the Detective Sparkla exposed two inaccuracies from "Junior".
Their first question claimed that there were no cushions on their couch. If this were the real Junior, they'd have remembered there being cushions - that's where they hid to test Peach's first Strike of Intuition.
The second question about when to meet someone at 9 o' clock - Junior meets with Detective Peach in the second play by telling her the importance of meeting 5 minutes early.
Yeah I really like the clues in the last detective level because you need to think for a second and actually remember details! Playing it for the first time felt really satisfying to me
Man. Peach can keep holding a tone for a loooong time. Is she just inhaling through her gills?
I don't get how your channel hasn't got more subscribers. The two of you are excellent at lets plays, far better than most I've seen with hundreds of thousands of subs. Please never stop. Also please give us another Tears Of The Kingdom playthrough :D I'd love to see what you do differently after having completed the game once already.
I loved the detective missions in this game (even though I do realize there might have been a little bit too much handholding), and I'm PROUD of it!
Here’s something kinda funny I only counted 3 backseats and with the detective giving -2 today would have had only 1 backseat. But because of the mermaid it was bumped up to 50 so Today has a count of 51 Backseats, How unfortunate.
Yes hello hi it's me, I'm the one who's old as hell and got the reference!! I'm so happy 😂
I adore the detective plays lmao
Detectives should point at people in real life
i think the way youre intended to figure out the real detective is that the real one repeats what is said on the note
By the way sorry for leaving 2 comments but if you’re looking for games to play, PLAY WORLDLESS! Worldless is a 2D open world platformer metroidvania in the same vein as hollow knight. It has one of the most unique combat methods I’ve ever played and a really cool mystery. There’s not much dialogue but I think it would be a really good fit for the channel.
The Mermaid Sparkla is the most powerful of them all because she can swim through the air off set
Those are not based on Easter Island Heads, they are based on Olmec Heads which are from Mexico. The Easter Island Heads actually do have a body underground and were walked into the place where they sit by people with ropes tilting the statue back and forth.
11:35 you're fighting Undyne. Funny, Kasey was able to get the star without perfection in the first run. That used to be required
I thought the detective levels in the game were pretty hand-holdy too. If this game ever gets a sequel, I hope they refine the rough edges of the different mechanics. While I definitely found the game fun, some issues were hard to ignore.
So nice of those turtles to naturally grow microphones on their shells.
Every time I hear the phrase "dad bod," I'm reminded of a Hollow Knight lp, I forget if it was yours or one of the fifty others I've seen, that described Quirrel as having a dad bod. That's my point of reference for the term.
Going into the detective level with half the video still left. Yeah, seems accurate.
Kids are a lot more clever than most adults give them credit for, definitely.
Trans color Stella hell yeah
@@Gboogie32-ni3ouThey can be trans and ace, both is good
Will you two be playing undertale yellows other paths, I really think you should, because from my 1% knowledge of the other paths they are very different
40:59 I don't think I even BEAT a game until i was like ten or eleven lol And even then the games I was beating were like the Secret Agent Barbie and similar "games marketed to six year old girls". I don't disagree that the detective sections are very very easy and obvious. On the other hand, the action sections are extremely easy too. It's just I think button mashing your way through an easy action section probably feels more exciting than solving a puzzle that's kinda obvious.
To me, anyway, this game feels very much like it's intended to be an easy "sampler platter" of a lot of different genres. I'm going to use the phrase "baby's first" here a lot, but I don't mean it in a pejorative way.
The ninja sections are baby's first stealth game. There's multiple flavors of baby's first action game, whether that's martial arts or sword or super hero or cowgirl. The mermaid sections are baby's first rhythm game, mixed with a teeny tiny bit of puzzle solving. Detective sections are like baby's first point and click adventure, even though you're not really pointing and clicking. I just don't know a better term. The baker sections are kinda like a simple minigame section.
And it feels like maybe the hope is that, if a kid really likes a particular section, they'll look deeper into that genre and check out games actually built around that idea. But also since it's such a sampler game, I'm not surprised that not every section vibes with every player in the same way. Plus it means no particular section can really delve too deep into any particular style.
And of course, no one who watched you play Tunic could doubt that you two really enjoy solving puzzles. Being given a game section that looks like it should be a puzzle, but then is really easy even before you're given the clues probably chafes a bit. It's like buying a prepackaged food and the stuff inside is a pale imitation of the picture on the box, and dang it you were looking forward to that. So from that pov alone, I'm not really surprised you two didn't care for the detective sections.
I think the problems you're having with the detective sections is that you are going into it already dreading it as opposed to playing looking for a good time. They absolutely are the weakest part of this game but I think the whole game has the same problems you are experiencing in the detective sections but you aren't looking for them in the other plays.
I know when I was a kid I loved Ace Attorney but I actually played it with a guide (yes even for the first case) because I was to stupid to see what the contradictions were. I think these sections will fill that same niche for some younger kids and might even help them realize that they like the detective genre.

...confirmation? 🥺
I think someone wants to play the neutral route for undertale yellow
Have you ever thought of playing assassin's creed?
