Day 24 of reminding everyone Ian drank Casey’s chocolate milk. Got worried when there was no upload yesterday, glad to see y’all are okay. This has been one of my favorite series and I hope there are more Casey series in the future.

What people also tend to forget about Chris Pratt's Mario voice is that he actually DOES do more a mario-like voice in some moments, and it's treated like a character voice that Mario does in universe
This playthrough has made me feel every emotion that exists plus some new ones I think???????? It's been a rollercoaster.
I think they added Purple to those specific dresses because they are based on the bosses, and the Purple represents Plum. Having said that...that blue and purple combo is rude.

The Wii U is an interesting case, because while it was correctly considered a market failure, it was also a financial success for two reasons: 1. The initial investment was minimal, and 2. Wii U systems were sold at a profit, unlike the Sony and Xbox systems of the time. It really could have been something far better.

Anyway I've actually done some research and found out that the switch 2 was gonna come out earlier but they delayed it for the explicit purpose of making a better line of launch games for the console and that if nothing else proves that they learned something from the wii u
The Switch feels like the perfect console in terms of its thing. You can play on tv, or chuck it in your bag and take it on a trip. It's everything I ever could have wanted as a kid.
I agree with Ian that the balance between console power and being able to price the console something that ordinary families are willing to buy is probably hard. Like, heck, look at just joycons. Even with their flaws, we're looking at a pair of very small individual controllers that work perfectly on their own, but can team up to function as a normal sized controller. And they're sold in pairs for about the cost of a single normal controller. Like yeah, they're not perfect, but that's just kinda insane to me.
And likewise, a handheld console that can also output to HDMI is trying to balance functionality, fitting into a tiny package, and being priced for a family audience. That kind of balancing act is probably really hard and has tradeoffs.
But I'd love if future Nintendo consoles could continue with that sorta mindset, even if it means they're not as powerful as a dedicated tv console
I think the box art looks like the movie Peach and the in game model looks like the usual game Peach. I don't really think it matters too much but it's a weird decision to change the box art away from what the in game model looks like.

Ahh, Mario Party 1 control stick spinning. Cast aways gave me a big worn-away patch of skin in the middle of my palm for weeks back in the day. Is it any wonder that particular motion never returned?

The Wi U was a great console with practically no good games. I own one and have never even opened the box.

Speaking of Smash bros, Thorgi's Arcade and Delzethin have made great videos tackling the idea of a Reboot with a smaller/different roster and moveset upgrades and chances!
(The latter actually has a full-blown series of videos reworking the characters, and providing movesets for potential newcomers!)
For the next smash bros I agree that the move sets could be reworked, but I think the focus should be mostly on the specials since aerials aren’t the main part of a character. We also have characters like the three Links who aren’t echos but have the same specials even though they have things unique to their games. Also bringing back the custom specials from smash 4 would be cool so you can make the character play how you want them to.

If anything from this game turns up in a future Smash, I'd at least expect Peach to get a new Final Smash. I'll, uh, say what it is when you get to the finale. Oh, and maybe a few ensemble costumes (like...Swordfighter, Patissiere, Mighty, and Kung Fu).
(Oh, and Daisy could get a new Final Smash, too. I'm thinking the Sky Pop from Super Mario Land.)
I also have not seen kung fu panda 4 yet, and i still gotta rewatch the 3 other movies so I'm all caught up

When it comes to the cover, I wasn't part of the twitter outrage because as usual, these folks have no idea what the appropriate amount of anger to have about media is,
but it does look weird, because it feels like a half-baked marketing ploy, game peach just doesn't look like that, in this game as well
Hey Ian and Casey can you guys do a series on Revita it's a game that came out recently on my end the soundtrack reminds of hollow knight. I just started playing and it's so good.

If the same guy who made ultimate is making the next smash nothing from this game will be in it. All effort will go into Kid Icarus, Fire Emblem, and Xenoblade bc that’s all he cares about
If it’s not an rpg or a fighting game he will slap recycled melee moves and call it a day. He wasn’t even secretive about being biased.
