Horizon, Helldivers, Animal Well! Nothing will overthrow call of duty, but game pass has certainly noticed the importance of smaller titles. Let’s see if they keep leaning into it.
Can't even see the quit button anywhere in the main menu, but even if it was there and easy to find I am at least 90% certain that it would crash the game instead of cleanly closing it
So many videos of people complaining just to complain. Its fun. -- This game is information galore. You have to keep playing and eventually you will learn more and more. If they provided you with all the info at first, people would get overwhelm and retain next to nothing.
If you have to "keep playing" to find out how to do basic shit like find Multiplayer/Zombies, or how to launch a match/mission, then there's a problem. Just stop coping. The menus are dogshit. The gameplay is dogshit. The QA is dogshit. The monetisation is dogshit. CoD's lost it's identity. Saying "oh just keep playing" doesn't excuse the god awful game design and corporate BS all around. By the way, giving all information immediately does not overwhelm the player, if you do it correctly and actually use good menu and game design. Take the good MW2 for example; you get presented immediately with 3 menus, and 4 words: Spec Ops, Campaign, Multiplayer. In FOUR words and in THREE boxes it tells you exactly where you need to go to play what you want to play. That's it, that's the entire main menu, 4 words in 3 boxes, and no one had any issues figuring out where they needed to go, ever. By the way, MWIII has been out now for 10 months. In 10 months, they STILL have failed to fix the bug where you're unable to join a friend's squad. Only ONE person in my entire friends list is able to join another player without having to do some convoluted ass BS using MWII's DMZ to squad-up first. 10 fucking months. Tell me again how it "just gets better if you keep playing". Also, how's those new Zombies maps coming along-.. oh wait.. Nope that's right, it's still just the one Copy-n-Paste Warzone map... of course. No problem, I'll just play the campaign instea-... oh that's right it's also copy and pasted Warzone maps, with it's characters being cheap knock-off versions of characters from 15 years ago.. right right. No problem, I'll hop on Multiplayer and pla-.. oh yeah that's right it's copy and pasted maps from 15 years ago for the nostalgia-bait element.. yup. So umm... did this game actually launch with any original content or...?
